June 7-8, 2013  41st Chisholm Trail Roundup BBQ & Chili Cook-Offs
Lockhart, Texas
With Music Festival. BBQ & Chili cook-offs, arts & crafts, etc.  Always 2nd week in June. Chisholm Trail Roundup Rodeo & Parade etc. follows, on June 13-15.

June 8, 2013  29th Annual Tomato Fest - Jacksonville, Texas
This family fun day includes arts and craft booths, street dance, a fishing tournament, home-grown tomato contest, tomato eating and peeling contests, gospel concert, auction and kids' activities.

July 12-14, 2013  27th Annual Taste of Dallas - Dallas, Texas
Eat. Drink. Shop. Repeat.  Mark your calendars and get your tastebuds ready! The  largest tasting event in DFW. Prepare your palate for a weekend of culinary delights from Dallas’ top chefs and most popular restaurants – not to mention fantastic music, plenty for the kids to do, and lots to shop, eat and see. Taste of Dallas is a slice of life, served up hot and fresh and waiting for you. Attendance: 150,000.
