July 28, 2018 Pecos Cantaloupe Food Show
The Cantaloupe Food Show is an annual celebration of the Sweet Pecos Cantaloupe that was created here in Pecos and Reeves County. The show of creative "cantaloupe" displays and the delicious Cantaloupe Recipes make for a tasty event! Cantaloupe recipe entries are accepted and judged in several categories, as is a Youth Cantaloupe Decorating Contest. All the yummy fun takes place at the West of the Pecos Museum, 120 E. Dot Stafford Street, Saturday afternoon. For more information please call the Museum at 432-445-5076.

28th Austin Chronicle Hot Sauce Festival
This event, which began in 1990, has become the world's largest hot sauce festival, drawing as many as 10,000 spectators and more than 350 entries every year. It is a favorite among hot and spicy food lovers from all over the country and is a major fundraiser for the Capital Area Food Bank. Attendance: 10,000
