September 2-3, 2011  World Championship BBQ Goat Cook-Off - Brady, Texas
The True Heart of Texas. 38th annual World Championship BBQ Goat Cook-Off.  Arts & crafts fair, games for the kids, horseshoe/ washer pitching tournament, plenty of great tasting food, live entertainment, and of course, a barbeque goat lunch!  Bring the whole family and don't forget to "Get your goat on!"

September 2-4, 2011  Kerrville Wine & Music Festival - Kerrville, Texas
With over two dozen singer-songwriters and their bands, this annual 3-day event combines music, camping and the best wines Texas winemakers have to offer. In addition to afternoon and evening concerts, there are Saturday and Sunday wine seminars which pair food morsels with the vintners choice of wine.
 

 


September 2-5, 2011  Texas Potjie Festival - Rusk, Texas
A potjie is a 3 legged cast-iron pot brought to Texas by South African immigrants. The festival celebrates South African heritage and features foods such as boerewors, droerwors, biltong, and koeksusters. Cook-off, cricket match and Afrikaans church service.

Kolaches are a Czech fruit or meat filled pastry. Over 10,000 are sold at the annual one day festival that features polka music, 100's of arts and crafts booths, lots of food and 'pevo' beer!

This sizzling festival draws over 20,000 Chiliheads to the area. Hot sauce, salsa, spices, marinades, chips, dips, jam, jellies, pickles, peppers, bloody mary mix, condiments, gourmet food, recipes, etc. Attendance: 20,000.

September 22, 2011  Tasting The Town - Humble, Texas

September 23-25, 2011  Wild Texas Galveston Island Shrimp Fest - Galveston, Texas
Amateur and professional teams will vie for the title of Best Shrimp Gumbo on Galveston Island, Galveston Jamz Bands music will fill the streets as the public strolls the Strand sampling gumbo and visiting vendors while the kids play in the expanded kids area complete with dunking booth only to stop as the Lil’ Shrimp’s Children’s Procession rolls down Strand.  Attendance: 10,000.
