November 23-25, 2012 National Puerto Rican Pastel Festival - Orocovis, Puerto Rico Culinary festival that honors the folkloric food of the Christmas season: the Puerto Rican Pastel. A three-day expo of a wide variety of pasteles, musical & dance performance, arts and culture. The pastel (similar to, but larger than, a tamale) was originated in the Taíno culture.
November 30-Dec 2, 2012 Carnaval Del Gandul - Villalba, Puerto Rico Annual harvest festival with music, festival queen, parades and food.

December 2-5, 2010 Old San Juan Sofo Culinary Fest - San Juan, Puerto Rico More than 35 restaurants throughout the historic district take part in the Old San Juan Culinary Fest.
