42nd Annual Suffolk Peanut Festival
This family-friendly event honors the city’s agriculture heritage and devotion to peanuts, our favorite legumes. With something for everyone, the festival is host to as many as 200,000 visitors over four days. Attendance: 200,000.
October 18-20, 2019
39th Annual Poquoson Seafood Festival
The Poquoson Seafood Festival which began as a small celebration of the Poquoson Waterfront Community featured an art show at a local marina over 30 years ago. Today the festival is a large annual event in the City of Poquoson. The festival draws nearly 50,000 people over the three days it is held. The Festival is a dedicated to preserving the heritage of the Chesapeake Bay Working Waterman. The Festival is enjoyed by both residents and visitors from a wide geographic area. The festival features over 150 arts and crafts vendors, nearly 25 seafood Food Vendors, and a variety of commercial vendors throughout. There is a wide variety of seafood for every palate, and entertainment scheduled throughout the weekend. Attendance: 50,000.
October 27, 2019 Harvest Stew & Stout Festival - Henrico, Virginia
For 2019, we are opening up Harvest Stew & Stout to all types of stews! Vegetarian, Brunswick, Gumbo – we want them all! We are excited to announce the official location of this year’s festival is Dorey Park, 2999 Darby Town Road, Henrico, VA, at Shelters 1 & 2.
