Celebrating America's largest, longest-running, free maritime festival in its 42nd year. For three memorable days, the historic waterfront festival offers a weekend packed with thrilling activities on land and sea to include tall ships and the Parade of Sail, artisan foods and beverages, work boat races, unique and unusual performances, one of the largest fireworks shows on the East Coast, family games and activities, national and regional entertainment, and much more.
July 12-13, 2019
Annual Hanover Tomato Festival
Come be a part of a Hanover Tradition that dates back more than 35 years. This signature Hanover County event, brings in folks from all over the East Coast. There will be tomato growing contests, arts & crafts, a variety of entertainment, food, and free activities for children of all ages. Attendance: 30,000.

36th Annual Carytown Watermelon Festival
Imagine...115,000 people, over 3000 watermelons and you! With 60 musicians, over 100 exhibitors, one of the largest kids areas of any festival and all of the great Carytown style, the Watermelon Festival has become the largest one day festival in the state of Virginia.
