November 26, 2011 46th Annual Chitlin' Strut - Salley, South Carolina This internationally known festival in the quiet, Southern town of Salley, South Carolina (population 398) is held annually the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Visitors converge on Salley to celebrate one of the more unusual food items available, chitterlings. Quite simply, chitterlings (or chitlin's) are fried pig intestines and have been a Southern tradition for over one-hundred years. Attendance: 25,000.
