Camping cookoff open to interested amateurs. Two categories: Main Dish and Dessert. $40 entry fee.  Recipe must be cooked over a campfire of charcoal or wood.  Cash prizes- $500, $300 & $200.  A two-night stay at Calhoun Falls state park is required for entry.  Two person teams, must be 16 years of age or older to apply.

This internationally known festival in the quiet, southern town of Salley, South Carolina (population is held annually the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Each year approximately 25,000 visitors converge on Salley to celebrate one of the more unusual food items available, chitterlings. Quite simply, chitterlings (or chitlin's) are fried pig intestines and have been a southern tradition for over one-hundred years
