May 7, 2011  Johnston Peach Blossom Festival - Johnston, South Carolina
Coincides with the blooming of peach trees and features a street dance, rides, games, a parade and entertainment.

May 8-15, 2011  2nd Annual Coastal Uncorked Food & Wine Festival - Myrtle Beach, SC
The second annual festival will feature a restaurant week; a wine tasting trolley tour of Myrtle Beach; outdoor entertainment at Market Common and the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade; the Coastal Uncorked Golf Tournament; and the Coastal Uncorked Food Fight fundraiser. All funds raised during the festival will be used for future events and a portion will be donated to the Horry Georgetown Technical College Culinary School & the Clay Brittain Hospitality Program at Coastal Carolina University.

June 18, 2011  41st Annual Ridge Peach Festival 2011 - Trenton, South Carolina
Parade, 100 arts & crafts vendors, antiques, carnival rides, live entertainment, hands-on demonstrations such as spoon carving and blacksmithing, and fresh peaches!

June 18-26, 2011  69th Annual Hampton County Watermelon Festival - Hampton, SC
South Carolina's oldest continuing festival. Highlights: Lake Warren State Park Family Fun Day, Youth Parade, Pet Show, Mud Run, Watermelon Eating Contest, Watermelon Judging Contest, a Melon Miss pageant for all ages, arts and crafts displays, a taste of good Hampton County Food, plus variety of musical entertainment, and of course....one of the largest parades in the state!!

July 3-4, 2011  Lexington County Peach Festival - Gilbert, South Carolina

We have something for everyone - Arts & Crafts, Food, Parade, Exhibitors, Book Sale,  Peanut Butter Sandwich Eating Contest, and, of course, Boiled Peanuts! Be sure to visit our “Peanuts Your Way!” tent for old-fashioned peanut candies, flavored dry-roasted peanuts and handmade peanut art.

September 1-5, 2011  8th Annual Williams Muscadine Festival - Nesmith, South Carolina
For a most memorable, enjoyable and unique experience, come and visit us at the vineyard and farm. BBQ, wine tastings, kids' activities, health promotions and fireworks.

September 2-4, 2011  6th Annual Beach, Boogie & BBQ Festival - Myrtle Beach, SC
Sample delicious barbeque from all competing teams; enjoy a wide variety of wings and look on as hungry competitors challenge each other in a wing 'eat-off'. Kids will do the same in a watermelon eating contest that follows. 3 cooking events promise to attract the nation's finest competitors: Anything Goes contest and tasting and the Official S.C. Barbeque Championship and Kansas City Barbeque Society Cook-off. Each competition will award prize money.

September 3, 2011  15th Annual Fried Green Tomato Festival - Beech Island, SC
The festival will have live music, food and classic car & bike shows. Proceeds will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

September 3-10, 2011  South Carolina Apple Festival - Westminster, South Carolina
The 50th annual festival will celebrate the beginning of apple harvest season in Oconee County, the largest apple-producing area in the state. Apple baking contest, rodeo, talent show, parades, arts & crafts, entertainment and rafting on the Chattooga River.

September 5-10, 2011  Seafood, Jazz & Brew Festival - Hilton Head Island, SC
Attendees can relax and relish the sounds of jazz, enjoy beer and food pairings, taste some undeniably fabulous brew and indulge in the best seafood the island has to offer.

September 15-18, 2011  Columbia's Greek Festival - Columbia, South Carolina
The 25th annual event with live Greek music, cultural exhibits, theatre production, folk dances, and Greek delicacies made for You!

September 16-18, 2011  18th Annual Shrimp Festival - Yemassee, South Carolina
Lighted parade, music, amusement rides, fireworks, street dance, mud run, and lots of shrimp to eat.

Sept 16-18, 2011  4th Annual South Carolina Campground Cookoff - Calhoun Falls, SC
Amateur cooks who love to cook over an open fire are encouraged to register and compete for $2,000 in prize money and become "King of the Campground Cooks!" Contestants may enter one of two categories: main dish or dessert. New to the event this year is the Camp Market.

September 22-25, 2011  Euphoria - Greenville, South Carolina
Food, wine, and music event. A Southern Exposure Experience, raises money for non-profit organizations while offering attendees a higher state of food, wine, and music.

September 23-24, 2011  38th Annual Irmo Okra Strut Festival - Irmo, South Carolina
Okra Strut Parade, okra eating contest, arts, crafts, rides, entertainment, and plenty of food. See Okra Man in person! Attendance: 55,000.

 

September 24, 2011  8th Annual Irish Italian Int’l Festival - North Myrtle Beach, SC
Featuring restaurant competition and food from local restaurants, two stages of live entertainment, street performers, art & craft vendors, and dance groups all surrounding an Irish-Italian International theme.

September 25, 2011  4th Annual Viva La Vista Festival - Columbia, South Carolina
The epicurean event in Columbia's Congaree Vista neighborhood celebrates the fall with live music, beverages and a taste of The Vista's most popular restaurants.

November 6, 2011  10th Annual Taste of the Town - Summerville, South Carolina
Traditionally held on the Sunday before Veteran”s Day to honor all veterans, this festival is also a celebration of great food, music, arts and an undeniable feeling of community. Held in Azalea Park, an idyllic setting for this annual event.

November 15-20, 2011  Music To Your Mouth Festival - Palmetto Bluff, South Carolina
The Finest Nibbles and Nectars to Ever Tickle A Taste Bud. Sponsored by Coastal Living.

November 26, 2011  46th Annual Chitlin' Strut - Salley, South Carolina
This internationally known festival in the quiet, Southern town of Salley, South Carolina (population 398) is held annually the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Visitors converge on Salley to celebrate one of the more unusual food items available, chitterlings. Quite simply, chitterlings (or chitlin's) are fried pig intestines and have been a Southern tradition for over one-hundred years. Attendance: 25,000.
