April 5-6, 2013 Hilton Head Island Seafood Fest Hilton Head Island, South Carolina The family-friendly event at Shelter Cove Community Park features area restaurants/chefs serving up seafood specialties and other tasty cuisine, live entertainment, a Kids Zone, a silent auction, an Iron Chef-style competition (Art of Cuisine), and more. Sponsored by the David M. Carmines Memorial Foundation, helps raise money for the American Cancer Society, MD Anderson Cancer Research Center & Island Recreation Scholarship Fund.

April 20, 2013 10th Annual Soft Shell Crab Festival - Port Royal, South Carolina Soft shell crabs are only available for a short period of time in the spring when the delicious blue crabs shed their hard shell to grow. Festival offers food, crafts and community booths.
