April 5-6, 2013 Hilton Head Island Seafood Fest
Hilton Head Island, South Carolina
The family-friendly event at Shelter Cove Community Park features area restaurants/chefs serving up seafood specialties and other tasty cuisine, live entertainment, a Kids Zone, a silent auction, an Iron Chef-style competition (Art of Cuisine), and more. Sponsored by the David M. Carmines Memorial Foundation, helps raise money for the American Cancer Society, MD Anderson Cancer Research Center & Island Recreation Scholarship Fund.

April 20, 2013 10th Annual Soft Shell Crab Festival - Port Royal, South Carolina
Soft shell crabs are only available for a short period of time in the spring when the delicious blue crabs shed their hard shell to grow. Festival offers food, crafts and community booths.

April 23, 2013 4th Annual South Carolina Chili Cook-off Championship

Sanctioned by the International Chili Society, the SC Chili Cook-off is one of the Southeast's fastest growing family events. Prizes for Red Chili, Chili Verde, Salsa, Peoples Choice and Showmanship. Proceeds benefit local charities.
