October 1, 2016  Spartanburg International Festival
Spartanburg, South Carolina
People from more than 75 countries reside in Spartanburg, South Carolina and more than 100 international businesses make Spartanburg their home. In 1985 the City of Spartanburg hosted its first International Festival to celebrate Spartanburg's diverse community, today the International Festival has expanded its International connection to reach a more global audience attendance. The Spartanburg International Festival is held each fall in beautiful Barnet Park. More than 12,000 people attend annually to celebrate and explore the world through food, music, dance, folk art and more.

October 8, 2016  34th Annual Sweet Potato Festival
Darlington, South Carolina
The longest-running festival in Darlington County (since 1983), the SC Sweet Potato Festival now attracts audiences of over 27,000 people. Attractions include games for the children, crafts, music, live entertainment, a car show and plenty of food, including sweet potato pie! Sponsored by the Pilot Club of Darlington. Admission is free. Held the second Saturday in October each year on the Public Square in downtown Darlington.

October 8, 2016  Annual Chili Cookoff
Hilton Head Island, South Carolina
Hilton Head’s local competition adheres to the strict tenet of “Anything Goes”.  From alligator to chicken to possum along with the more traditional fixins, you will find a bit of everything at the Chili Cookoff.   There are two types of judging for the competition.  First, the general public is allowed to vote for the best chili in both professional and amateur categories. A group of honorable judges determine the best chili in a separate judging.

October 8-9, 2016 - Little River ShrimpFest - Little River, South Carolina
Located on the historic waterfront in beautiful Little River, this festival provides a family oriented party that is fun for all ages.  Entertainment includes arts and crafts vendors, live music all day and a famous Shrimp Cookoff.

October 12-23, 2016  147th South Carolina State Fair
Columbia, South Carolina
Recognized as one of the TOP 50 Fairs in the United States. The fair features nationally recognized entertainment in the grandstand, stages with a variety of acts such as comedy, bands, dancers, local entertainment and entertainment from across the state. The midway is provided by North American Midway Entertainment (NAME). Art, home arts, horticultural, agricultural and livestock competitions exhibits draw both rural and urban crowds.  The South Carolina State Fair strives to provide a clean, safe, family-oriented atmosphere, while offering fun, food, recreation, education, and great competitive exhibit opportunities for all to enjoy.  Famously Hot Chef Showdown; Donkey & Mule Shows; Special Flower Show; Home & Craft Demos; One Eared Cow Glass Showcase; Agriculture, Cattle, Dairy Goats, Sheep, Small Stock; Midway, Entertainment, Rides, Midway Games, etc.

 

October 14-16, 2016 - Fall for Greenville: A Taste of Our Town
Greenville, South Carolina

October 15, 2016  37th Annual Loris Bog-Off Festival
Loris, South Carolina
Chicken bog is a pilau dish made of rice, chicken, celery, spices, and often sausage. Over 200 craft, retail, and food vendors, chicken bog cooking contest, live music, fireworks, children's pavilion and much more.  Come visit Loris for a day of fun.

October 14-15, 2015  Conway BBQ Fest - Conway, South Carolina
UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT! The Conway BBQ Fest, formerly the St. Nicholas BBQFest, is now in its 11th year. St. Paul's Apostolic Church founded the festival in 2004 and the event has grown to over 8,000 attendees in 2014. Conway Area Philanthropists, a local non-profit organization inherited the Festival and continues the southern BBQ tradition in Conway, South Carolina.

Columbia, South Carolina
For ten years, Lake Carolina's Wine & Food Festival has brought fine wines, dining and entertainment to the Midlands region of South Carolina. Each year, hundreds flock to the Village Green for some of the finest wines and tantalizing hors d'oeuvres. We have drawn in thousands of people over the years and have been able to make significant contributions to Children's Charities of the Midlands.  Be prepared to sample some of the best wines & local dishes while enjoying live music.
