Up to 40 restaurants from the state will sample their food for up to 1,000 voters who will pick the winner in each category. The event serves as the kick-off to Providence Restaurant Week 2009.

Over 45 of Newport County’s best chefs, caterers and confectioners showcasing their culinary talents. Their delicious creations to be enjoyed by an estimated 500 guests! Taste of Newport is Child & Family’s largest fundraiser that includes a sit down buffet with appetizers, entrees, desserts and specialty coffees. Proceeds from the 26th annual Taste of Newport will go to Child & Family’s Supportive Housing Program for Homeless Mothers and their Children. Tickets for the event are $100 .
