There are so many events on this day that they are too numerous to list. Virtually every community in the U.S. has a 4th of July celebration.

July 7-10, 2016  25th USPCA National Conference
Providence, Rhode Island
United States Personal Chef Association. This is the biggest gathering of Personal Chefs anywhere and the perfect time to connect, network, learn, and refresh before returning home motivated to take your business to new heights. The conference will build on the success of prior years with speakers who will engage your senses, enhance your skills, and more importantly, improve your Personal Chef business!


August 5-7, 2016  32nd Annual Charlestown Seafood Festival
Charlestown, Rhode Island
A gastronomic extravaganza of Rhode Island's best seafood. Arts and crafts, rides, rock wall climbing, Hot Rod & Harley car show, kite exhibition, children's shows, bungee jumping and lobster raffle. Continuous entertainment and events.

August 6, 2016  2nd Annual Providence Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival
Providence, Rhode Island
Who’s got what it takes to be named the best food truck city? We need YOU to decide! Join us as the best trucks from Boston and Providence compete to win over your taste buds at the Providence/Boston Food Truck Showdown. Come support your favorite truck or city & enjoy a variety of gourmet cuisines, live music, and free face painting for the kids! And of course, beer! Check back for contest details and participating trucks.  Where: India Point Park in Providence, RI.  What time: VIP Hour is 11am-12pm; General admission is 12pm-5pm.

August 17-21, 2016  Washington County Fair - Richmond, Rhode Island
Washington County Fair has been a great New England tradition for the past 50 years! The Fair is Rhode Island’s largest agricultural event. One of the biggest draws to the Fair is today’s Country Music Stars!   Admission includes access to all daily concerts, special acts and events, the giant midway and kiddy land area (all ride tickets and games separate), all agricultural events and shows, exhibits and displays, tractor and horse pulls, the farm museum, and much, much more!  The Fair features the Main Stage pine grove where you can relax and enjoy some of music’s hottest acts. The Midway is full of the rides you look forward too every year, as well as some new additions! Also, for the second year, the Midway will feature New England’s largest traveling roller coaster!

August 20, 2016  Armenian Picnic - Providence, Rhode Island
Sts Sahag and Mesrob Armenian Church Annual Picnic!  One day of Armenian food in a Picnic setting! EVERYONE welcome. Held under the big tent! Rain or Shine. The tent will be lit at night so stay and eat all night! Great Armenian Foods freshly prepared, Kheyma, Lamb Shish-Kebob, Losh-Kebob, Chicken, Khorovatz .  Great Armenian and American Pastry Booth FREE admission and plenty of FREE parking. The church with the Blue Cross on RT95 in Providence.

August 27, 2016  Brew at the Zoo - Providence, Rhode Island
Sample over 100 craft beers from over 50 of the regions’ finest brewers at Rhode Island’s most popular outdoor venue. At this 21+ event, guests will also enjoy animal encounters and live music, and everyone will receive a commemorative "Brew at the Zoo" glass. Proceeds from this fundraiser will help to support the Zoo's education and conservation programs and Zoo improvements.

6th Annual Rhode Island Seafood Festival
Providence, Rhode Island


India Point Park.  Rhode Island’s premiere seafood festival hosting the best seafood in all of Rhode Island and southern New England. Restaurants, food distributors, breweries, wineries, local companies, artists and non-profit organizations will be present at the event to promote their products, service or cause and celebrate the end of the summer. There will be live music playing at “The Pier Stage” throughout the event.  Free Admission.

September 17-18, 2016  43rd Annual Harvest Fair
Bristol, Rhode Island
Enjoy a traditional New England autumn fair, complete with demonstrations of historic trades, hands-on children's crafts, unique local vendors, live music and entertainment, and traditional games and competitions.  Wear your flashiest rain boots for our Muck Boot Fashion Show, test your endurance in the sawbucking competition, or perfect your aim in the watermelon seed spitting contest.  All the flavor of the 18th century, updated for even the staunchest modern types--a uniquely New England experience.  Saturday & Sunday 10am-4pm.

September 22-25, 2016  11th Annual Newport Mansions Wine & Food Festival - Newport, Rhode Island
One of the East Coast’s most sophisticated and anticipated events, returns for its 11th year. Signature events include the Bordeaux Dinner on Thursday evening, the Wine & Rosecliff Gala on Friday evening, Grand Tastings on Saturday and Sunday, the Vintner Dinner on Saturday evening, Newport After Dark on Saturday evening, Jazz Brunch on Sunday and Seminars in The Breakers Stable and Carriage House throughout the weekend.  Tickets are now on sale.

July 24-25, 2010  Free Food & Fun - Usquepaugh, Rhode Island
Held at Kenyon's Grist Mill with over 40 Rhode Island vendors. Free samples of local foods and free activities: kayaking, tours of the mill and grinding process, pet alpacas, meet local farmers, artisans and local Narragansett Indians, live music, and enjoy the scenery and waterfall. Please bring an item for the Rhode Island Food Bank.

July 12, 2009  Rhode Island World of Flavors Competition
Providence, Rhode Island
Showcasing a broad cross-section of Rhode Island Restaurants competing for the top prize in thier world region: Americana, Latin American, Mediterranean, European and Asian. Up to 40 restaurants from the state will sample their food for up to 1,000 voters who will pick the winner in each category. The event serves as the kick-off to Providence Restaurant Week 2009.

August 2-9-16-23-30, 2009  Samurai Sundays - Providence, Rhode Island
Every Sunday in August watch a high-energy, sword-fighting samurai film and dine on a series of delectables. Ebisu features traditional robatayaki and a wide selection of sake (hot and cold), as well as an assortment of Japanese beers.

August 29, 2009  Savor Providence - Providence, Rhode Island
Savor Providence leads people right to the doorsteps of the many exceptional restaurants in and around Providence's vibrant downtown. Sample a "taste" of each restaurant's personality and flavor, with signature dishes, house specialties or classic cocktails offered at each establishment. Proceeds from the event benefit the educational programs of Trinity Repertory Company.
