There are so many events on this day that they are too numerous to list. Virtually every community in the U.S. has a 4th of July celebration.

August 3-5, 2018  34th Annual Charlestown Seafood Festival
Charlestown, Rhode Island
A gastronomic extravaganza of Rhode Island's best seafood. Arts and crafts, rides, rock wall climbing, Hot Rod & Harley car show, kite exhibition, children's shows, bungee jumping and lobster raffle. Continuous entertainment and events.

August 15-19, 2018  52nd Washington County Fair
Richmond, Rhode Island
Washington County Fair has been a great New England tradition for the past 50 years! The Fair is Rhode Island’s largest agricultural event. One of the biggest draws to the Fair is today’s Country Music Stars!   Admission includes access to all daily concerts, special acts and events, the giant midway and kiddy land area (all ride tickets and games separate), all agricultural events and shows, exhibits and displays, tractor and horse pulls, the farm museum, and much, much more!  The Fair features the Main Stage pine grove where you can relax and enjoy some of music’s hottest acts. The Midway is full of the rides you look forward too every year, as well as some new additions! Also, for the second year, the Midway will feature New England’s largest traveling roller coaster!

August 18, 2018  5th Annual Bristol Harbor Festival & Blessing of the Fleet -  Bristol, Rhode Island
The Bristol Harbormaster’s Office and local fishing community welcome all to the Bristol Harbor Festival & Blessing of the Fleet.  The event will kick off at Rockwell Park on Thames Street at 2:00pm.  Explore a full day of festivities, live music, local food competitions plus much more! The day culminates with our primary fundraiser……the best tasting Littleneck Boil you’ll get your hands on plucked from the very waters we’re celebrating!

August 18, 2018 - Armenian Picnic - Providence, Rhode Island
Sts Sahag and Mesrob Armenian Church Annual Picnic!  A day of Armenian food, and fun! EVERYONE welcome. Held under the big tent! Rain or Shine. The tent will be lit at night so stay all night! Authentic Armenian Food freshly prepared, Kheyma, Lamb Shish-Kebob, Losh-Kebob, Chicken, Khorovatz, Falafel, also including Live Armenian Music and Dancing. Raffles, Bounce House, Kids Games, Pony Rides.  Fun for the whole family! FREE admission and plenty of FREE parking. The church with the Blue Cross on RT95 in Providence.

Brew at the Zoo
Providence, Rhode Island
Sample over 100 craft beers from over 70+ of the regions’ finest brewers at Rhode Island’s most popular outdoor venue. At this 21+ event, guests will also enjoy animal encounters and live music, and everyone will receive a commemorative "Brew at the Zoo" glass. Proceeds from this fundraiser will help to support the Zoo's education and conservation programs and Zoo improvements.

September 8-9, 2018  8th Annual Rhode Island Seafood Festival
Providence, Rhode Island
India Point Park.  Rhode Island’s premiere seafood festival hosting the best seafood in all of Rhode Island and southern New England. Restaurants, food distributors, breweries, wineries, local companies, artists and non-profit organizations will be present at the event to promote their products, service or cause and celebrate the end of the summer. There will be live music playing at “The Pier Stage” throughout the event.  Free Admission.

September 19, 2018  11th Annual Latino Food & Wine Festival
Providence, Rhode Island
Please join Latino Dollars for Scholars of RI for a night of wine tasting, delicious food and live music. Tantalize your taste buds with samples of Latino wines and local Latin cuisine!

September 20-23, 2018 - 13th Annual Newport Mansions Wine & Food Festival - Newport, Rhode Island
One of the East Coast’s most sophisticated and anticipated events, returns. Signature events include the Bordeaux Dinner on Thursday evening, the Wine & Rosecliff Gala on Friday evening, Grand Tastings on Saturday and Sunday, the Vintner Dinner on Saturday evening, Newport After Dark on Saturday evening, Jazz Brunch on Sunday and Seminars in The Breakers Stable and Carriage House throughout the weekend.  Tickets are now on sale.

August 5, 2017 - 3rd Annual Providence Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival
Providence, Rhode Island
Who’s got what it takes to be named the best food truck city? We need YOU to decide! Join us as the best trucks from Boston and Providence compete to win over your taste buds at the Providence/Boston Food Truck Showdown. Come support your favorite truck or city & enjoy a variety of gourmet cuisines, live music, and free face painting for the kids! And of course, beer! July 24-25, 2010  Free Food & Fun - Usquepaugh, Rhode Island
Held at Kenyon's Grist Mill with over 40 Rhode Island vendors. Free samples of local foods and free activities: kayaking, tours of the mill and grinding process, pet alpacas, meet local farmers, artisans and local Narragansett Indians, live music, and enjoy the scenery and waterfall. Please bring an item for the Rhode Island Food Bank.

July 12, 2009  Rhode Island World of Flavors Competition
Providence, Rhode Island
Showcasing a broad cross-section of Rhode Island Restaurants competing for the top prize in thier world region: Americana, Latin American, Mediterranean, European and Asian. Up to 40 restaurants from the state will sample their food for up to 1,000 voters who will pick the winner in each category. The event serves as the kick-off to Providence Restaurant Week 2009.

August 2-9-16-23-30, 2009  Samurai Sundays - Providence, Rhode Island
Every Sunday in August watch a high-energy, sword-fighting samurai film and dine on a series of delectables. Ebisu features traditional robatayaki and a wide selection of sake (hot and cold), as well as an assortment of Japanese beers.

August 29, 2009  Savor Providence - Providence, Rhode Island
Savor Providence leads people right to the doorsteps of the many exceptional restaurants in and around Providence's vibrant downtown. Sample a "taste" of each restaurant's personality and flavor, with signature dishes, house specialties or classic cocktails offered at each establishment. Proceeds from the event benefit the educational programs of Trinity Repertory Company.
