Winona, Minnesota
The Frozen River Film Festival identifies and offers programs that engage, educate and activate viewers to become involved in the world. The festival pairs films with national caliber speakers to foster dialogue about the themes of the film choices. Join us for over 40 documentaries, workshops, speakers and musical performances. Food related films in 2012 include Queen of the Sun, a look at the bee crisis and the mysterious world of the beehive; Truck Farm, about a truck that has been converted to grow plants on the streets of New York City; and Mad City Chickens, a serious, yet whimsical film about people who keep urban chickens in their backyards.
