Adult fishing contest, kids fishing contest, family bike ride, petting zoo, chicken bar-b-que, city-wide garage sales, Lions Club pancake breakfast, Grand Parade, street dance, firemen's beer tent, car show, family-fun activities, golf tournament, food vendors & more.
 


 

May 18, 2024  Craft Beer & Wine Festival - Marshall, Minnesota
Taste Minnesota's Craft beer + Wine scene all in one night at the Red Baron Arena & Expo.  From 3:00-6:00, breweries and wineries from across the state will have samples for you to sip in your Made in Minnesota commemorative glass. Enjoy yard games and concessions all inside at the Festival.

May 18, 2024  Lefse Dagen - Starbuck, Minnesota
The Lefse Dagen celebration, which began in 1987, is sponsored by the Starbuck Depot Society and supported by the Starbuck Study Club. This celebration has a twofold purpose:  To commemorate the record setting, yet unbroken, world’s largest lefse baked during the Starbuck Centennial Celebration in 1983 by a group of Starbuck Lions;  To hold an open house at the Starbuck Depot Square. The site where the 70 pound lefse with a diameter of 9 feet 8 inches was baked.

May 19, 2024  Heritage Fire - St. Paul, Minnesota
Heritage Fire is a three-hour live-fire event focused on education and delivering moments of culinary awakening. Taking place in 14 cities, the walk-around reception features an all-inclusive bacchanal feast paired with thoughtful bites prepared by some of the most critically acclaimed kitchens in each market, with products from locally sourced farms and sponsors. The festivities includes fun and interactive activations, as well as the crowning of your city’s Heritage Hero.

May 24-27, 2024  Cannon River Rendezvous - Cannon Falls, Minnesota
A pre-1840's Fur Trade Era Re-Enactment.  Experience a fur trade encampment typical of the period from 1750 - 1840 and visit with re-enactors portraying the many unique characters that gathered after a winter of trapping to trade goods, test their skills and swap tall tales with their friends.  Enjoy demonstrations of period skills and lifestyles, including black powder shooting competitions, primitive archery and tomahawk-throwing contests, and campfire cooking.  Recipe Re-Creation Competition with Prizes for the categories of: • Baking • Cooking (includes grilling, roasting, spits or any form of cooking excluding baking)  • Children's Category (ages 12 and under).

May 31-June 2, 2024  Pine Island Cheese Festival
Pine Island, Minnesota
Antique Tractor Show, Parades, Cheese Ball Contest, Mud Bog, Wine & Cheese Tasting, Street Dance, Midway, Car Show, Pie Stand.  In July of 1911 a group of small dairies cooperated to build a Prize Winning World Record 6,000 lb. Cheese on a railroad flatcar.  The Pine Island Cheese Festival started in September 1936, and was held annually through 1940 when World War II interrupted. When the festival was reborn in 1949, it was switched to a weekend in June. Since then, the cheese festival has been the opening festival of the summer in southeastern Minnesota.
