June 2, 2012 The Rhubarb Festival - Lanesboro, Minnesota
Celebrate Rhubarb, Minnesota's sweet-tart favorite. Free tasting of rhubarb delights, Rhubarb Olympics for all ages, Rhubarb Rant Speaker's Corner and rhubarb growing contest. The Rhubarb Sisters will entertain you with song and also singing this year will be the Rutabaga Brothers.
June 2-3, 2012 June Bloom Wine Event - Winona, Minnesota
This special event presents ample opportunities to sample fine food and wine, from Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa. Each winery on the Great River Road Wine Trail will feature their award winning wines and ciders paired with an array of local foods designed with gourmet flair. In addition to local foods, some wineries will also feature live music by local talent.

June 9, 2012 Bread and Butter Day - Preston, Minnesota
Historic Forestville in Preston. Costumed staff will use traditional techniques, hands-on demonstration and audience participation to engage visitors in the once important weekly task of bread and butter making. Tasty freshly baked samples will be available.
June 14-17, 2012 Tater Daze - Brooklyn Park, Minnesota
Tater Daze is a unique festival where residents pay homage to the humble potato. Early settlers discovered that potatoes flourished in the flat, sandy soil of the area. Through the Great Depression, drought and urbanization, Brooklyn Park has shown its strength as a community willing to work together and make our city a welcoming place for everyone.

June 22-23, 2012 35th Annual Scandinavian Hjemkomst Festival & 5th Annual Viking Festivals - Moorhead, Minnesota
Sweden is the featured country for 2012. Enjoy Scandinavian music, foods, and exhibits. Visit the recreated Viking Village to learn about Norse culture in the Viking Age, with demonstrations of cooking, arts and combat skills. Presented by the Clay Co. Historical Society.

Taste of Kraut recipe contest, Minnesota Brewery beer tasting, bingo, card and bean bag tournaments, music by local talent, trivia, a raffle, as well as plenty of brats and kraut.
