September 2-3, 2011  47th Annual Wild Rice Days - McGregor, Minnesota
Highlights include music, arts and crafts, a parade, prizes, wild rice education tent, family fun run & walk, an antique car show, kiddie parade, corn feed, wild rice pancake breakfast, and a book sale at the library.

September 2-5, 2011  52nd Annual Red Rooster Days - Dassel, Minnesota
Farmer's market, lots of Kids Activities, Pie Social, Brat Feed, Largest Chicken BBQ in Minnesota, Tractor Pull, Quilt Show, and much more!

September 2-5, 2011  Western Minnesota Steam Thresher's Reunion - Rollag, Minnesota
Every Labor Day weekend since 1954, generations of threshermen & women get together to relive the tradition of the good ol’ days and bring the past to life for the enjoyment of young and old alike

September 4, 2011  A Taste of the Gunflint Trail 2011 - Gunflint Trail, Minnesota
Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center hosts this fundraiser for the Gunflint Trail Historical Society.

September 8-11, 2011  Kellogg Watermelon Festival - Kellogg, Minnesota
This festival takes place along the Mississippi River and has a vintage tractor ride, soap box derby, chicken-que, music and parade. Always a good time!

September 10, 2011  Pickwick Mill Days - Pickwick, Minnesota
An annual celebration of the history of Pickwick and the 120-year-old flour mill which is on the state historic register.
 

 

September 10-14, 2011  65th Annual National Barrow Show - Austin, Minnesota
The annual National Barrow Show is the World Series of Swine Shows. America's premier purebred hog show brings exhibitors and buyers from around the world.

September 15-18, 2011  Applefest 2011 - La Crescent, Minnesota
The three day Applefest weekend includes activities such as a Kiddie Parade, Carnival, Apple Pie Stand, President's Reception and Queen Coronation, Pancake Breakfast, King Apple Parade, Craft Show, entertainment in the King Apple (Beer) Tent and the Johnny Appleseed (Family) Tent. Applefest is always held on the 3rd full weekend in September.
