The annual National Barrow Show is the World Series of Swine Shows. America's premier purebred hog show brings exhibitors and buyers from around the world. Sponsored by National Association of Swine Records.

September 9-10, 2023  Annual Grape Stomp Festival
Stillwater, Minnesota
Saint Croix Vineyards.  It’s free and fun for the whole family! Take a turn stomping grapes the old-fashioned way or let your kids give it a try. Prizes will be awarded to those with the best grape-stomping style (as determined by audience applause).  Bring a picnic, take a tour of the vineyard and winery, listen to live music, and, of course, enjoy our award-winning wines!  Grape stomping competitions for both kids and adults will be held at approximately 1:00, 3:00, and 5:00 each day. A drawing will be held to determine who will compete in the competitions…please enter your name in the drawing when you arrive. Don’t worry if you are not chosen to compete, everyone will get a chance to stomp grapes between competitions.

September 15-17, 2023  Annual Applefest - La Crescent, Minnesota
The Applefest weekend includes activities such as a Kiddie Parade, Carnival, Apple Pie Stand, President's Reception and Queen Coronation, Pancake Breakfast, King Apple Parade, Craft Show, entertainment in the King Apple (Beer) Tent and the Johnny Appleseed (Family) Tent. Applefest is always held on the 3rd full weekend in September.

September 15-17, 2023  Grape Stomp Festival - Alexandria, Minnesota
Carlos Creek Winery.  Come join us for a weekend filled with wine, food, stomping & shopping! This festival has it all: live music all day for all three days, grape stomping, amatuer wine making contest, over 150 vendors, a man cave with Summit beer and much, much more!

September 16, 2023  Annual Wild Rice Festival - Roseville, Minnesota
A celebration of wild rice, the Minnesota fall season and Native American culture!  Wild rice sausages, wild rice soup, fry bread, and more. Traditional wild rice harvesting demonstrations.  Native American dance group and story-telling. Children’s games and activities.  Hands-on apple cider pressing. Silent auction, to raise funds to support the Nature Center. And much more!  As usual, there is no admission charge.

September 16, 2023  48th Annual Fall Festival & Smokin' Hot BBQ Challenge - Nisswa, Minnesota
Join us for Nisswa Fall Festival and Smokin' Hot BBQ Challenge.  Lots of family fun all day long - crafters and market space, kids games, live music, great eats, beer garden, bbq contest, street dance and much more! Want to participate in the BBQ contest, or be a crafter or market space vendor?  We want you to join us!

September 16, 2023  16th annual Fall Fest - Hinckley, Minnesota
11am - 5pm.  Featuring live music and wonderful food from award-winning restaurants from around the state.  Show us what you got in our open class competition - will you be the King of the Grill?  Every year 15-20 teams compete for best ribs.

September 17, 2023 - Twin Cities Veg Fest - St. Paul, Minnesota
Twin Cities Veg Fest will take place at Harriet Island Regional Park in St. Paul from 10am to 4pm.  Twin Cities Veg Fest is for anyone and everyone – from omnivores to vegetarians and vegans. The festival features a wide variety of exhibitors, speakers, and cooking demos. Enjoy free food samples, delicious vegan cuisine, fun cooking demos, and insightful presentations. Twin Cities Veg Fest is a project of Compassionate Action for Animals.  Attendance: 10,000.

An annual celebration of the history of Pickwick and the 120-year-old flour mill which is on the state historic register.  Food served all day, live music, demonstrations of spinning, blacksmithing, pottery making, and more. Silent auction, homemade pies, log rolling, fire dept water fights, etc.

September 21, 2019  Celebrate Art! Celebrate Coffee!
Willmar, Minnesota
This is the 22nd year for our festival and we are excited to announce that we have decided to move the event to Kennedy School.  We moved it last year at the last minute due to bad weather and we received such favorable comments that we decided to move it permanently.  No wind!  No bees! No threat of rain!  We will have a large tent in the parking lot with picnic tables and the food vendors will be around the tent.

September 27-29, 2019  The Goose Festival - Middle River, Minnesota
Goose Capital of the North. Highlights include goose-calling contests, a music jam, grand parade, kiddie parade, a flea market, quarter scramble, Community Theater production, and lots of great food!

Chickens, goats, sheep, alpacas, horses, lizards, spiders and snakes! When was the last time you saw so many critters together? See animals of all kinds and visit special guests from Lake Superior Zoo, Headwaters Science Center, Cairparavel Alpaca Farm and others.

September 28-29, 2018  Annual Shaktoberfest - Shakopee, Minnesota
What do you get when you pair an Oktoberfest party with Badger Hill Brewing Company located in Shakopee? Shaktoberfest, of course!  Badger Hill Brewing Company is celebrating it's annual Shaktoberfest. This year we're hosting live music in the brewery, too! Stop by the taproom all weekend for hammerschlagen, a 5K and .1K beer run, food trucks and fall activities. We begin the festivities at noon on Friday with the tapping of our Untoberfest Ale which uses the same malt bill as our Oktoberfest Marzen!

September 3, 2017 - Porktoberfest Block Party
Minneapolis, Minnesota
Day Block Brewing will be hosting PorktoberFest, an end-of-summer block party at their property located off Washington Avenue and 11th Avenue in the Downtown Minneapolis Mill District. The all-day event will emphasize local food-namely pork selections-as well as several vegetarian options. In addition, there will be plenty of craft beer and a full schedule of live music, which will begin at 2:00pm. This event will be held in the shared Day Block Brewing/Grumpy’s Bar lot located on the South side of the Day Block Building. Limited free parking will also be available.  Food selections include Pork Beer Brats & Sauerkraut, Pork Shank “Wings”, Korean Pork Belly Sliders, Bacon Steak “BLT” Sandwiches & Carolina BBQ Pork Chops on a Stick. For vegetarians, we'll also have Portabella Cap Sandwiches, Giant Pretzels & Beer Cheese, Giant Pickle on a Stick, Corn on the Cob w/ Compound Butter &Seasonal Grilled Vegetable Hash.

September 25, 2015  Taste of the Lakes - Excelsior, Minnesota
BayView Event Center.  This year’s event will benefit two charities to touch the lives of even more community members: Metro Friendship Foundation for Autism and Meals on Wheels South Shore.  The event is well-known for featuring the best food the area has to offer with samples from a variety of 14 local restaurants. A mixologist from Prairie Organic Spirits will be serving cocktail samples and beer samples will be served by Excelsior Brewing Company. The event will also include a live and silent auction and live entertainment.
