November 4-5, 2016  59th Annual Urbanna Oyster Festival
Urbanna, Virginia
First weekend in November each year. Food is provided by over 50 vendors.

November 15-19, 2016  150th Annual National Grange Convention
Herndon, Virginia
The Grange is a family, community organization with its roots in agriculture.  Founded in 1867, the Grange was formed as a national organization with a local focus. Our members are given the opportunity to learn and grow to their full potential as citizens and leaders.  Each year, the National Grange holds a convention for the delegate body to set the policy agenda for the upcoming year and members to attain their Seventh Degree.


Convention is open to the public for most events, however the Seventh Degree conferral ceremony and the opening of the convention are limited to only Grange members. Convention consists of daily sessions, committee meetings, workshops, a store, and an idea fair exhibit, in which different Granges share programs that are successful in their state.  The convention has daily Grange Youth activities each day, along with Junior Grange activities, and activities for non-delegates. Convention sites are rotated around the country among the five Grange regions.

November 7, 2015  13th Annual SML Fall Chili and Craft Festival
Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia
Enjoy a full-day event featuring music, crafts and a spectacular competitive chili cook-off.  Trophies will be awarded for "Best Chili," "People's Choice," and "Showmanship."  It'll be a hot time at Smith Mountain Lake.  Held lakeside at Bridgewater Plaza in Moneta, near the Hales Ford Bridge.

November 7, 2015  16th Annual Brunswick Stew and Stout Festival
Richmond, Virginia
Stewmasters from all over gather for this annual event, each offering their unique version of a tasty fall favorite. Stew available for purchase by the sample or by the quart. Come enjoy an expanded craft market, great music, and ice-cold brew to wash down all that delicious stew. Make sure you get there early before the quarts run out!


November 14, 2015  3rd Annual Richmond Cider Celebration
Richmond, Virginia
Dive into the cider renaissance with cider from VA cideries and local food from Richmond area chefs at Richmond’s historic 17th Street Farmers’ Market.  Tickets are $20 in advance, and $25 at the door.  Each ticket includes: commemorative tasting glass, dual wine tote bag, access to educational workshops, live music and 10 cider tastings. Cider will also be available for purchase by the glass or bottle. Under 21 may enter at no charge and purchase a la carte food and drinks.

November 14, 2015 - 27th Annual Oyster Roast - Reedville, Virginia
Reedville Fishermen's Museum.  Important fund raiser, which supports the museum’s educational programming, features a menu of oysters – both cooked and raw-on-the-half-shell, bean soup, hot dogs, barbeque, clams, chicken wings, cheese, desserts, coffee and soft drinks. Beer and wine available for purchase. Music and dancing.

November 18-20, 2015  Wine Tourism Conference - Leesburg, Virginia
The Wine Tourism Conference serves two needs: 1) It provides hard information about the important and growing industry of wine tourism that you can bring home to both grow and improve your local business or organization and 2) It provides a forum for meeting your fellow leaders in the wine tourism industry.

November 21, 2015  Virginia Moonshine Festival - Richmond, Virginia
The first festival of its kind in the state of Virginia. We celebrate the fuel that began in the mountains and worked its way into history. Bring your friends and join us as we get our SHINE ON!'s a good excuse to have a good time before the relatives come for the holidays! This new event is in the Old Dominion building from 12pm - 6pm.

November 26-28, 2015  Foods & Feasts of Colonial Virginia
Williamsburg, Virginia
At Jamestown Settlement, explore 17th-century culinary practices of Virginia during this three-day event. Visitors discover how food was gathered, preserved and prepared on land and at sea by Virginia's English colonists and Powhatan Indians.

December 5, 2015  Belle Grove Holiday Tea - Middletown, Virginia
You are invited to high tea by the Belle Grove Christmas Tree! After lingering over tea and delectable treats, tour the Manor House decorated to the theme of “Holidays Around the World.” Tickets to this event would be a wonderful Christmas outing for a treasured family member or friend!

December 6, 2015  Breaux Vineyards Barrel Tasting
Purcellville, Virginia
Enjoy a flight of six wines straight from the barrel, paired with a delectable three-course gourmet meal prepared by Chef Author from Grandale Farm Restaurant.  This perennial favorite fall event is filled with fascinating insight about Breaux's upcoming vintages and unreleased wines.  This will be an excellent opportunity to meet our new winemaker, Heather Munden, and learn more about what direction she will be taking with the wines. Seating times at 12pm & 3pm.  Seating is extremely limited and tickets will sell out. $65 per person; $60.00 Club Member.

December 13, 2015  Cocktails at Christmas - Middletown, Virginia
When Belle Grove is decorated to celebrate “Holidays Around the World,” Belle Grove’s Winter Kitchen will transport you to Ireland. We invite you to come toast the season with live music, a Hot Toddy by the fire and delicious appetizers by Nana’s Irish Pub in Middletown. Your ticket will also include a self-guided tour of the Manor House lit by candlelight

December 31, 2015  Last Night on the Town - Virginia Beach, Virginia
Enjoy family entertainment and an array of performances by local and national recording artists.  Virginia Beach will once again celebrate the arrival of the New Year with a festive “Last Night on the Town” New Year’s Eve event, hosted by the Central Business District Association. Held on Dec. 31, the 3rd annual event will begin with a family-friendly celebration at Pembroke Mall, then continue with entertainment at The Town Center of Virginia Beach and culminate with a live performance by a national headliner.

November 5, 2011  2nd Annual Virginia Beach Rockfish Cook-Off
Virginia Beach, Virginia
Bring the family to a fun-filled `Fish-Fry` at Marina Shores. Great fried fish and sides served up with a view of top-notch chefs fighting it out for the best Rockfish recipe and live bands. The Cook-Off is a charity event to benefit the Boy Scouts of America, Bayshore Circle of the CHKD and Toby’s Dream Foundation. Your ticket includes fried fish, hushpuppies and coleslaw with 3 live bands.

November 5, 2011  Kiwanis 40th Annual Oyster and Barbeque Feast
Arlington, Virginia
This popular, family-style dinner raises funds for youth leadership programs sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Arlington and helps to fund community youth projects and grants for other educational and non-profit organizations focusing on children in Arlington. Fresh oysters are shucked on the spot and served on the half-shell. The feast also includes fried oysters and clams, barbeque, hamburgers, hot dogs, cole slaw, chips, soft drinks, coffee, and beer from Rock Bottom Brewery.

November 1, 2008  Spiders on the Vine Wine Tasting & Music Festival
University of Richmond, Virginia
Celebrate the fall season with a new tradition!  Come enjoy some great wine and music, featuring popular Richmond rock trio, the Rachel Leyco Band; renowned finger guitarist, Jeff Severson; and acoustic duo Dog’s New Clothes.  Location: University of Richmond, Westhampton Green (rain location, Tyler Haynes Commons). Admission: $25 per person.
