August 22-24, 2012 Texas Olive Oil Conference - San Antonio, Texas "Producing Olives in Texas" will feature seminars and addresses from a variety of experts throughout the olive oil industry, providing a wide range of information to newcomers and professionals working in the expanding Texas olive oil industry.
August 26, 2012 Austin Chronicle Hot Sauce Festival - Austin, Texas This event, which began in 1990, has become the world's largest hot sauce festival, drawing as many as 15,000 spectators and more than 350 entries every year. It is a favorite among hot and spicy food lovers from all over the country and is a major fundraiser for the Capital Area Food Bank. Attendance: 15,000.

August 6, 2011 Food for Thought at the Tower Club - Dallas, Texas Presented by Dallas Association of Young Lawyers (DAYL). The event benefits Big Thought, an organization that helps enrich the lives of children through arts, culture, and education. Local celebrity chefs will demonstrate their culinary expertise with samples for the crowd to enjoy. The night will include a silent auction featuring items donated by area businesses.
August 12-13, 2011 LaVernia Park Foundation BBQ - La Vernia, Texas IBCA-sanctioned BBQ cooking competition, where teams from across the state compete for the best BBQ chicken, beef, and ribs.
