Honoring the "blue crab", which is usually plentiful here in spring and summer. The 27th-annual event features live entertainment, food and craft booths, a crab legs contest, crab races, Wiener Dog Nationals, carnival and a kids' stage.

May 12, 2012  North Texas Beer Festival - Plano, Texas
This festival will feature dozens of brewers, merchandise of all kinds, live music, speakers, classes, competitions and more.  Guests can sample 100's of beers from dozens of brewers, attend home brewing demonstrations and cooking classes as well as purchase their favorite brews and food in our outdoor Bier Garten while listening to live music.  We will have auctions and raffles benefiting local charities as well and door prizes for some lucky guests.

May 19, 2012  Annual Texas Steak Cookoff - Hico, Texas
From the Food Network to Texas Monthly to Rachel Ray Magazine, people are talking about the Texas Steak Cookoff. As the largest steak cookoff in the Southwest, it draws people from all over the US into the little town of Hico, Texas. If you are looking for a weekend getaway in May, the cookoff is tough to beat.

Sample the meat of the Old West at this cook-off sanctioned by the Texas Bison Association and the Lone Star Barbecue Society, plus arts & crafts, homemade pies and ice creams, volleyball, horseshoes and more.

May 20, 2012  Big Batch Brew Bash - Houston, Texas
Kuykendahl Gran Brewers. The Big Batch Brew Bash is the KGB's signature homebrew competition.  Begun in 1996, it has grown into the largest single-style homebrew competition in the history of humankind.  Impressive, but don't ask for documentation or a certificate from the world record folks at Guinness.  It is also noted for being sanctioned by the American Homebrewers Association and free to enter.

May 25-27, 2012  CityArts Festival - Dallas, Texas
Includes Culinary Showcase and CityArts Food. At the Culinary Showcase inside the Texas Museum of Automotive History, festival goers ages 21 and up can enjoy Cooking Demos, Samplings, Wine and Spirits Pairings, Mixology Sessions, Craft Beer, Liquor and Wine Tastings, Evolving Cocktails, Scotch Flight Tastings, and more.  Outside the Culinary Showcase, all ages can enjoy bites and beverages from dozens of Food Trucks and Vendors.

May 25-27, 2012  Fredericksburg Crawfish Festival - Fredericksburg, Texas
We'll be serving up red beans & rice, boudin, gumbo, and - of course - crawfish. Other cajun delicacies are also available for everyone to enjoy, and for those who don't like crawfish (don't like crawfish?!!), there will be hamburgers, corndogs, and plenty of German sausage - what Fredericksburg is known for.  Food and fun for all ages are available. The festival will offer a children's area for kids of all ages, and arts & crafts will be there for your shopping pleasure.

The 2011 United States Barista Championship held in conjunction with the Specialty Coffee Association of America's annual exposition and symposium. There are three rounds of judging and the winner will represent the U.S. at the World Barista Championship.

8th annual festival, held all day in historic downtown New Braunfel. Along with wine and beer tasting, our event offers a host of entertainment and activities that include continuous live music, a grape stomp, art market, food seminars, Chef's Showdown, activities for the kids, and a farmers market. A street dance under the stars completes the day!
