31st Annual McDonald’s Houston Children’s Festival
The McDonald’s Houston Children’s Festival is the largest children’s festival in the United States! Two days of games, circus acts, rides, food, beverages, and entertainment for all ages centered in downtown Houston. Created 29 years ago by Child Advocates as an avenue to create awareness and funding to help the neglected and abused children of Houston. Over 5.4 million dollars have been raised for the organization through the annual two days of children activities.

March 1-4, 2018 - 39th Annual Fulton Oysterfest - Fulton, Texas
Each year the Fulton Volunteer Fire Department sponsors Oysterfest, a salute to the tasty bi-valve found in our local waters. Oysterfest features carnival rides, games, food, an oyster eating contest, live music, unique vendor booths and most of all - FUN. (www.fultontexas.org/oysterfest )

60th Annual Rattlesnake Roundup
Started in 1958, the Sweetwater Jaycee's World's Largest Rattlesnake Round-Up is hosted annually in Sweetwater Texas the second weekend in March at the Nolan County Coliseum in Newman Park. (also: www.sweetwatertexas.org/)
March 10-11, 2018 - Shrimp Fest - Grand Prairie, Texas
The Traders Village SHRIMP FEST Returns for 2018. Combine choices of boiled shrimp, shrimp gumbo, or shrimp etouffee with music from the popular Cajun band “Crawfish” and you have a fun filled weekend. Shrimp Fest will be held under the Big Red Patio next to the Family Entertainment rides and games area. The food will be served starting at 11:00 a.m. and the music starts each day at 12 noon. The Bluebonnet Brew-off is one of the largest single site homebrew competitions in the United States. The event will be held at the Sheraton DFW Airport Hotel located at 4440 W John Carpenter Fwy, Irving, Texas. We are presenting a new format this year that separates the two Friday tasting events into Friday and Saturday celebrations. Friday evening will showcase Local and Regional Professional Brewers and their offerings. Saturday, we will showcase the Local and Regional Homebrew Clubs and their offerings; homebrewers are encouraged to re-brew a winning beer from last year’s Bluebonnet or bring one that was entered this year, as we will have special recognition for these brewers.
