Each year the Fulton Volunteer Fire Department sponsors Oysterfest, a salute to the tasty bi-valve found in our local waters. Oysterfest features carnival rides, games, food, an oyster eating contest, live music, unique vendor booths and most of all - FUN

March 24-26, 2017  7th Annual Kemah Crawfish Festival 2017
Kemah, Texas
At the festival, we serve up affordable crawfish, with great flavor and freshness. When you come out, you will enjoy live music from great local and national bands!  Crawfish will be sold by the pound this year, we will be cooking crawfish out of our BRAND NEW cooking units that will be able to produce 6,000lbs of delicious boiled crawfish per hour! Say bye-bye to long lines, and hello to scrumptious mud-bugs. In addition to crawfish, we will be offering great festival food as well.

March 11-12, 2016  30th Bluebonnet Brew-Off - Irving, Texas
The Bluebonnet Brew-off is one of the largest single site homebrew competitions in the United States. The first leg of the Lone Star Circuit of homebrew competitions, it is both AHA and BJCP sanctioned as well as an MCAB Qualifying Event.

March 11-13, 2016  58th Annual Rattlesnake Roundup
Sweetwater, Texas
Started in 1958, the Sweetwater Jaycee's World's Largest Rattlesnake Round-Up is hosted annually in Sweetwater Texas the second weekend in March at the Nolan County Coliseum in Newman Park.  (also: www.sweetwatertexas.org/ )

March 11-20, 2016  77th Annual Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show
Mercedes, Texas
The Show now ranks as one of the top ten in the State. People from all over Texas eagerly anticipate the event and come to enjoy the many activities including a parade, rodeos, competitive livestock events and the many, many attractions which are scheduled daily.

 

March 12-13, 2016  Shrimp Fest - Grand Prairie, Texas
New for 2016 will be the Traders Village Shrimp Fest.  Combine choices of boiled shrimp, shrimp gumbo, or shrimp etouffee with music from the popular cajun band Crawfish and you have a fun filled weekend.  Shrimp Fest will be held under the Big Red Patio next to the Family Entertainment rides and games area. The food will be served starting at 11:00 a.m. and the music starts each day at 12 noon.  The new SHRIMP FEST event will have something for the whole family.  Admission is FREE and parking is just $4.00.  After eating delicious food and enjoying the music buy an All Day Ride wristband for just $9.75 or shop in one of America’s largest flea markets.

March 13, 2016 - 7th Annual Paella Challenge - San Antonio, Texas
Join fellow epicureans for a beautiful afternoon featuring distinguished Chefs from San Antonio, across the United States and Mexico, live entertainment, wines from Spain, and sangria on the grounds of The Pearl Brewery. Watch as chefs and high school teams go head-to-head in competition to create the most impressive paella dishes cooked right before your eyes.

March 24, 2016  7th Annual Keels and Wheels Uncorked
Seabrook, Texas
The 7th Annual Keels & Wheels Uncorked will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. at The Wynden Event Center, 1025 South Post Oak Lane, Houston, Texas.  Guests are invited to attend alongside Master of Ceremonies Radio Host Sam Malone for an elegant evening of fine wines and exceptional food presented by some of Houston's top restaurants. On display at the event will be several classic automobiles, as well as a vintage wooden boat.  The event serves as a fundraiser for Boys & Girls Harbor.

March 24, 2016  Taste of Rockport - Fulton - Rockport, Texas
Features culinary delights from a host of local restaurants, bakers and caterers. Also -- Live music throughout the evening,  A multitude of offerings in our auction - silent and live and The Mystery Box – a huge box filled with over $1000.00 of goods and services.  The focus of the event is to raise funds for scholarships. Some of our soon to be graduating class from Rockport-Fulton High School need some financial help in achieving that college dream. We use the funds to fund scholarships from the Charles A. Evans Scholarship Foundation.

March 7, 2015  Brazos Valley Cajun Fest - Bryan, Texas
Brazos Valley Cajun Fest features live music, food, beverages, indoor and outdoor vendors, car show, gumo and jambalaya cook off and Cajun cooking classes.  Free admission.  All registration forms are downloadable from the website.

March 31, 2015  13th Annual Houston Press Menu of Menus Extravaganza

Last day of National Barbecue Association Annual Conference. Our Old-Fashioned BBQ Bash is an annual one-day BBQ festival, open to all parts of the industry and the public at large. The bash in hosted in our conference city each year on the last day of conference.  Cooking Demonstrations, Barbecue Cookbook Signings, People's Choice Awards to sample and vote for favorite sauces, Games, Live Music.
