San Antonio, Texas

March 2-4, 2017  World's Championship Bar-B-Que - Houston, Texas
You won't want to miss the biggest pre-party to the world's largest livestock show and rodeo. More than 250 teams led by barbecue aficionados will compete in a traditional Texas cook-off.  While most team tents are invitation-only, visitors can enjoy the public venues including the Miller Lite Garden, Rockin' Bar-B-Que Saloon and the Chuck Wagon, where you receive a complimentary chopped beef sandwich plate.  Come enjoy three days of cooking, competition, eating and dancing!

March 2-5, 2017  38th Annual Fulton Oysterfest - Fulton, Texas
Each year the Fulton Volunteer Fire Department sponsors Oysterfest, a salute to the tasty bi-valve found in our local waters. Oysterfest features carnival rides, games, food, an oyster eating contest, live music, unique vendor booths and most of all - FUN

March 7-26, 2017  Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo - Houston, Texas
Agriculture, horse show, livestock show, wine show, and concerts.

March 8-19, 2017  78th Annual Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show
Mercedes, Texas
The Show now ranks as one of the top ten in the State. People from all over Texas eagerly anticipate the event and come to enjoy the many activities including a parade, rodeos, competitive livestock events and the many, many attractions which are scheduled daily.

59th Annual Rattlesnake Roundup
Sweetwater, Texas
Started in 1958, the Sweetwater Jaycee's World's Largest Rattlesnake Round-Up is hosted annually in Sweetwater Texas the second weekend in March at the Nolan County Coliseum in Newman Park.  (also: www.sweetwatertexas.org/ )

March 18, 2017  15th Annual Wild Hog Explosion - Bandera, Texas
Features team competition for all ages in wild-hog catching, a pork rib barbecue cook-off, arts & crafts, piggy pictures and more. Proceeds benefit the Kronkosky Library of Bandera Co.

March 18, 2017  Bacon and Beer Classic - Dallas, Texas
The Bacon and Beer Classic is a one-of-a-kind event hosted inside baseball parks and stadiums across America. It is a premier experience focused on traditions where one’s nostalgia of baseball meets their love for bacon and beer. As the attendees walk through the stadium they will get a taste of history through the hundreds of craft brew samples and mouth-watering bacon-inspired tastes local restaurants cook up. Music will get people dancing, interactive games will bring out their inner kid, and the cooking demos and beer schools will teach everyone – from the expert to the novice – a thing or two about bacon and beer.  All of our events are all inclusive! From the moment you walk into the park, it's all about the experience, and not about opening up your wallet

March 23, 2017  8th Annual Keels and Wheels Uncorked
Seabrook, Texas
The 8th Annual Keels & Wheels Uncorked will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. at The Mercedes-Benz of Greenway Plaza Dealership, 3900 Southwest Fwy, Houston, Texas.  Guests are invited to attend alongside Master of Ceremonies Radio Host Sam Malone for an elegant evening of fine wines and exceptional food presented by some of Houston's top restaurants. On display at the event will be several classic automobiles, as well as a vintage wooden boat.  The event serves as a fundraiser for Boys & Girls Harbor.

March 23, 2017  Taste of Rockport - Fulton - Rockport, Texas
Features culinary delights from a host of local restaurants, bakers and caterers. Also -- Live music throughout the evening,  A multitude of offerings in our auction - silent and live and The Mystery Box – a huge box filled with over $1000.00 of goods and services.  The focus of the event is to raise funds for scholarships. Some of our soon to be graduating class from Rockport-Fulton High School need some financial help in achieving that college dream. We use the funds to fund scholarships from the Charles A. Evans Scholarship Foundation.

March 23-25, 2017  National Coffee Association Annual Convention
Austin, Texas

March 24-25, 2017  31st Annual Bluebonnet Brew-Off - Irving, Texas
The Bluebonnet Brew-off is one of the largest single site homebrew competitions in the United States.  This year the Bluebonnet moves back to a hotel location. We are thankful for the Irving Convention Center and their support. The event will be held at the Sheraton DFW Airport Hotel located at 4440 W John Carpenter Fwy, Irving, Texas.  We are presenting a new format this year that separates the two Friday tasting events into Friday and Saturday celebrations. Friday evening will showcase Local and Regional Professional Brewers and their offerings. Saturday, we will showcase the Local and Regional Homebrew Clubs and their offerings; homebrewers are encouraged to re-brew a winning beer from last year’s Bluebonnet or bring one that was entered this year, as we will have special recognition for these brewers.

March 24-26, 2017  7th Annual Kemah Crawfish Festival 2017
Kemah, Texas
At the festival, we serve up affordable crawfish, with great flavor and freshness. When you come out, you will enjoy live music from great local and national bands!  Crawfish will be sold by the pound this year, we will be cooking crawfish out of our BRAND NEW cooking units that will be able to produce 6,000lbs of delicious boiled crawfish per hour! Say bye-bye to long lines, and hello to scrumptious mud-bugs. In addition to crawfish, we will be offering great festival food as well.

March 25, 2017  Texas Onion Fest - Weslaco, Texas
Celebrates the world-famous Texas 1015 Onion developed in Weslaco. There is lots of new stuff to see! On Saturday, the festivities will kick off with live music on two stages and the lively "Onion Eating Contests". The fun will last all day with music performances on the Main Stage, a Kids Zone, two performances by the Dancing Horses, Arts & Crafts, cooking demonstrations at the Culinary Center, and so much more. Viva La Onion!

March 26, 2017  8th Annual Paella Challenge - San Antonio, Texas
Join fellow epicureans for a beautiful afternoon featuring distinguished Chefs from San Antonio, across the United States and Mexico, live entertainment, wines from Spain, and sangria at Mission County Park. Watch as chefs and high school teams go head-to-head in competition to create the most impressive paella dishes cooked right before your eyes.

March 30, 2017  McAllen Food Festival - McAllen, Texas
The McAllen Chamber of Commerce presents the 15th Annual McAllen Food Festival at McAllen Convention Center from 6:00pm-9:00pm!  Come savor the fine cuisine from some of the best McAllen metro area restaurants.  Taste the delicious entrees from restaurants and caterers in a fun family friendly event .  Every year, the event hosts over 30 restaurants serving sample portions of main course items such as sushi, prime rib, Shrimp, pasta, BBQ ribs, coffee, desserts and much more.  Vote for your favorite restaurant for the coveted “People’s Choice Award”.  This year's the theme is “Fabulous Fifties” with a 50’s costume contest and Jitterbug dance contest.  Join us for an evening of fun and delicious food!  Tickets are $15.  (also: http://mcallenchamber.com/ )
