March 3, 2019 - Annual Kosher Chili Cookoff - Houston, Texas
12-4pm at Beth Yeshurun Synagogue.  The Kosher Chili Cookoff is the largest kosher food event in Houston and celebrates  the fellowship of the Jewish community with a day of food, live entertainment, contests, and family friendly activities while raising funds for non-profit organizations in the Houston Jewish Community. The cookoff attracts more than 3,500 attendees annually for live music, a moonwalk, climbing walls, balloon artists, a jalapeno eating contest and a silent auction as they taste some of Houston's best kosher chili.

March 3-5, 2019 - Annual American Meat Conference - Dallas, Texas

March 7-10, 2019  40th Annual Fulton Oysterfest - Fulton, Texas
Each year the Fulton Volunteer Fire Department sponsors Oysterfest, a salute to the tasty bi-valve found in our local waters. Oysterfest features carnival rides, games, food, an oyster eating contest, live music, unique vendor booths and most of all - FUN.  (www.fultontexas.org/events/)

March 7-17, 2019  80th Annual Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show
Mercedes, Texas
The Show now ranks as one of the top ten in the State. People from all over Texas eagerly anticipate the event and come to enjoy the many activities including a parade, rodeos, competitive livestock events and the many, many attractions which are scheduled daily.

61st Annual Rattlesnake Roundup
Sweetwater, Texas
Started in 1958, the Sweetwater Jaycee's World's Largest Rattlesnake Round-Up is hosted annually in Sweetwater Texas the second weekend in March at the Nolan County Coliseum in Newman Park.  (also: www.sweetwatertexas.org/)

March 9, 2019  8th annual 'Sizzling in the Tropics' BBQ Cook-off
McAllen, Texas
The cook-off will feature 30 of our local BBQ Cook-off teams competing to see who creates the best Chicken Wings, Pulled Pork, Ribs, Brisket, Charro Beans and Pan de Campo.  Attendees can sample all the meats plus enjoy a beverage garden and live music performed by four local bands.  The cook-off will also feature a classic car show by the South Texas MOPAR Car Club.  Anyone wanting to attend only the “Sizzling in the Tropics” BBQ Cook-off can attend for $20.  Children 10 and under accompanied by an adult eat free!

March 9-10, 2019  Shrimp Fest - Grand Prairie, Texas
The Traders Village SHRIMP FEST Returns.  Combine choices of boiled shrimp, shrimp gumbo, or shrimp etouffee with music from the popular Cajun band “Crawfish” and you have a fun filled weekend.  Shrimp Fest will be held under the Big Red Patio next to the Family Entertainment rides and games area. The food will be served starting at 11:00 a.m. and the music starts each day at 12 noon.  Shrimp Fest has something for the whole family. After eating delicious food and enjoying the music of “Crawfish” buy an All Day Ride wristband for just $12.99 or shop in one of America’s largest flea markets.  Admission is FREE and parking is just $4.00.

Annual Keels and Wheels Uncorked - Houston, Texas
The Keels & Wheels Uncorked will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. at The Lone Star Flight Museum.  Guests are invited to attend alongside Master of Ceremonies Radio Host Sam Malone for an elegant evening of fine wines and exceptional food presented by some of Houston's top restaurants. On display at the event will be several classic automobiles, as well as a vintage wooden boat.  The event serves as a fundraiser for Today's Harbor for Children.

33rd Annual Bluebonnet Brew-Off
Irving, Texas
The Bluebonnet Brew-off is one of the largest single site homebrew competitions in the United States.  The event will be held at the Sheraton DFW Airport Hotel located at 4440 W John Carpenter Fwy, Irving, Texas.  We are presenting a new format this year that separates the two Friday tasting events into Friday and Saturday celebrations. Friday evening will showcase Local and Regional Professional Brewers and their offerings. Saturday, we will showcase the Local and Regional Homebrew Clubs and their offerings; homebrewers are encouraged to re-brew a winning beer from last year’s Bluebonnet or bring one that was entered this year, as we will have special recognition for these brewers.

March 30-31, 2019 - 31st Annual McDonald’s Houston Children’s Festival
Houston, Texas
The McDonald’s Houston Children’s Festival is the largest children’s festival in the United States!  Two days of games, circus acts, rides, food, beverages, and entertainment for all ages centered in downtown Houston.  Created 29 years ago by Child Advocates as an avenue to create awareness and funding to help the neglected and abused children of Houston.  Over 5.4 million dollars have been raised for the organization through the annual two days of children activities.

March 31, 2019  Cochon555 - Austin, Texas
5 - 7:30 pm.  Cochon555, the nation’s acclaimed culinary, wine and spirit celebration in support of charity and education, is celebrating 10 years during their 2019 nationwide tour. The events will feature more than 100 prominent chefs, farmers, sommeliers, distillers, brewers, and barkeeps all working to create luxurious moments that educate the palate. The tour stated in Dallas and culiminates with the national finale, Grand Cochon, in Chicago. At each stop on the tour, five notable chefs are tasked with preparing a 200-pound pig and presenting a "Judge's Plate" that will be scored by celebrity judges and participants. The winner of each local competition will advance to the finale in September.

Features culinary delights from a host of local restaurants, bakers and caterers. Also -- Live music throughout the evening,  A multitude of offerings in our auction - silent and live and The Mystery Box – a huge box filled with over $1000.00 of goods and services.  The focus of the event is to raise funds for scholarships. Some of our soon to be graduating class from Rockport-Fulton High School need some financial help in achieving that college dream. We use the funds to fund scholarships from the Charles A. Evans Scholarship Foundation.
