JULY 4, 2013- There are so many events on this day that they are too numerous to list. Virtually every community in the U.S. has a 4th of July celebration.
July 4, 2013 Nathan's Famous International Hot Dog-Eating Contest - Coney Island, NY
The men and women will compete separately for the title of Men's Hot Dog Eating World Champion and Women's Hot Dog Eating World Champion, as well as a $20,000 cash purse for each division. More than 40,000 fans come to the free event, arriving several hours in advance. For these fans, Nathan's Famous produces a pre-show beginning at 10 a.m. that will include a death-defying performance by the Coney Island Strongman and several live bands. Nathan's Famous will also provide a jumbotron to increase visual access for fans. Attendance: 40,000
July 4-6, 2013 8th Annual I Love BBQ and Music Festival - Lake Placid, New York
This annual event attracts the best BBQ competitors in the country and continues to grow in popularity year after year. Sampling opportunities, food and beverage concessions and live entertainment.
July 12-14, 2013 Finger Lakes Wine Festival - Watkins Glen, New York

July 13, 2013 Cheddar Cheese Festival - Adams, New York
A village wide celebration of the agriculture and cheese making industry in Jefferson County.
July 13-14, 2013 Troy Pig Out - Troy, New York
New for 2013 - the Pig Out joins fources with BaconFest NY! The annual Troy Pig Out welcomes professional BBQ teams from across the United States and Canada for this two-day weekend competition – which includes a People's Choice St. Louis Rib competition – on Saturday, and the "main event" on Sunday. Barbeque vendors and live music are the main attractions for guests to the festival, filling Riverfront Park both days, and featuring a special fireworks show on Saturday night over the Hudson River. This year we will add 'Bacon Alley' - a special section of the festival filled with vendors offering bacon-y treats sure to satisfy your inner most bacon cravings. The Troy Pig Out is sanctioned by the Kansas City BBQ Association and the Office of the Governor as the Official New York State BBQ Championship which qualifies the winner to move on to the National Championships! July 13-14, 2013 30th Annual Taste of Buffalo - Buffalo, New York
Nearly 60 restaurants, 6 wineries and over 450,000 invited guests will gather in downtown Buffalo to enjoy "fun by the forkful". One of the region's signature events, the Taste of Buffalo is the largest two-day food festival in the United States.
July 19, 2013 Empire Brewfest & American BBQ Championships - Syracuse, New York
The Empire Brewfest is a longstanding favorite in Syracuse with craft beer sampling and music. Now add to that some world class BBQ and this is a "can't miss" event!
July 20, 2013 Hamburg Burgerfest - Hamburg, New York
The festival celebrates Hamburg's claim as "birthplace of the hamburger" with arts & crafts, car show, film festival, burger-eating contests, games, music, and of course, tasty food and hamburgers. The Taste of Hamburg portion of the festival features offerings from local restaurants.
July 26, 2013 Pasión de Esperanza - Niagara-on-the-Lake, New York
A celebration of Wine, Food, and Music plus a Silent Auction and Raffle Prizes at beautiful Mori Gardens. All proceeds will go to fund Wells of Hope's projects in Guatemala.
