New York's largest craft beer festival.  Over 120 breweries representing over 300 individual beers offer everything from IPAs and lagers to wiesbiers, doppel and trippel bocks, stouts, ales... pretty much any variety you know of, and probably a few that you don't. May 18-19, 2024  Ninth Avenue International Food Festival
New York, New York
Since 1973. From 42nd Street to 57th Street, Ninth Avenue closes to cars and the festival takes over. It's unique and amazing, celebrating the joys of ethnicity through food, entertainment and every kind of street fair stall. Most street fairs in New York all look the same but this one stands out. The food is the big draw, but the festival is a fabulous expression of the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood – teeming with ethnic food shops and fine restaurants and offering an eclectic global smorgasbord of national and regional foods.  Attendance: 1 million.

May 6, 2023 - Bourbon Festival at Belmont - Elmont, New York
A bourbon tasting event and Kentucky Derby celebration, at Belmont Park Racetrack in Elmont, NY from 3:30pm-7:30pm.  This special event will feature more than thirty bourbons for tasting, a selection of craft beer, a live simulcast transmission of the Kentucky Derby, grandstand viewing of the track to enjoy live event day thoroughbred racing, and convenient betting windows.  Tickets for the festival are on sale now at the event website.

May 20, 2023  Belmont Uncorked - Elmont, New York
A fun-filled day of wine tasting and live horse racing, the event will celebrate wines from around the corner and around the globe.  The event will be held on Saturday, May 21st in Belmont Racetrack's North Shore Terrace Club House, offering sweeping grandstand views of the race track.  VIP session from 2:00pm - 7:00pm; General Admission from 3:00pm - 7:00pm.  Tickets are on sale now ($99pp VIP; $75pp GA) and include all wine sampling, grandstand viewing of the day's live scheduled races, and a souvenir wine tasting glass.

May 8, 2018 - Masters of Social Gastronomy Present: Strange Meat at the Institute of Culinary Education - Manhattan, New York
Soma will be taking on unusual meat preparations, from how to turn beef jerky into cotton candy to what to do with a pig’s head (or a cow’s head, if you have a driver’s license).
