 Food & Wine Event

New York, New York
Unlike any other food and wine event, BCAGlobal incorporates culinary and hospitality students into the event experience as a part of the mentoring focus it fosters. The organization seeks to expose young culinary professionals of color to opportunities and career professionals that will aid in the advancement of their careers.  More than 50 culinary students will work closely with some of New York’s premier industry professionals as they prepare to unveil the latest trends and flavors in food and wine for the event.  Attendees will enjoy culinary samples paired with wine from select restaurants, winemakers, distributors and outlets from around the world.

May 5-6, 2017 - Annual Wine & Herb Festival - Cayuga Lake, New York
Sample wines at each winery along the Cayuga Wine Trail and receive a different herb at each stop. Build your garden, while sipping our fine wines and savoring herb prepared cuisine.  April 28-30 and May 5-6, 2017.

May 11-14, 2017  Food Book Fair - New York, New York

The Fortnightly Club of Catskill is hosting its 11th Annual Rip Van Winkle Wine Festival from 11:30am until 5pm at 1 Main Street, Catskill, NY, the historic Catskill Point on the Hudson River. Tickets are $25, ages 12 and under free.

The Village Voice Annual Choice Eats Tasting Event will feature 50+ handpicked restaurants from all five New York City boroughs at Metropolitan Pavilion. May 1-7, 2016 - 5th Annual NY Burger Week - New York, New York
To celebrate National Hamburger Month,  the Annual NY Burger Week,  From gourmet blends to off-menu specialities, to beer pairings, NY Burger Week will pay tribute to the world’s greatest sandwich, the Hamburger. Each restaurateur and Chef will be preparing a unique event that pays tribute to the Burger in their own way.

The plan is to make LICBW 2016 an unforgettable week for Long Island Craft Beer and Long Island Craft Beer Fans.

May 14, 2016  Lilac Brew Fest - Rochester, New York

Since 1973. From 37th Street to 57th Street, Ninth Avenue closes to cars and the festival takes over. It's unique and amazing, celebrating the joys of ethnicity through food, entertainment and every kind of street fair stall. Most street fairs in New York all look the same but this one stands out. The food is the big draw, but the festival is a fabulous expression of the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood – teeming with ethnic food shops and fine restaurants and offering an eclectic global smorgasbord of national and regional foods.  Attendance: 1 million.

May 16-19, 2015  Wild Carp Classic - Baldwinsville, New York
Welcome to the 2015 Wild Carp Classic, hosted on North America’s premiere venue for carp angling tournaments, the Seneca River!  This event is a 64-hour, Big 10 endurance tournament targeting common and mirror carp. Each team may have up to 3 anglers that may fish 6 rods interchangeably throughout the duration of the event.  This tournament is a Big 10 format, with cash and awards for the teams with the most combined weight of their ten largest carp caught.

May 1, 2014  Wine Tour de France - New York, New York
Art de Vivre: Wine Tour de France with Food & Wine Magazine.  To celebrate the eighth annual Wine Tour de France, FIAF partners with Food & Wine magazine to take a new look at the art of French wine-making. This series of three tastings, curated by Food & Wine executive wine editor Ray Isle and featuring some of New York’s top sommeliers, will delight oenophiles of all levels. Each tasting features a flight of six wines paired with delicious breads and a selection of cheese and charcuterie.  Thursday, May 1, May 15, and June 12, 2014.

May 9-13, 2014  Manhattan Cocktail Classic - New York, New York
We regret to announce that the 2015 Manhattan Cocktail Classic may not be held this year. Those who have had the pleasure of attending this best-of-class experience in the past know that the festival hinges on the many products and brands that are there to be discovered and enjoyed. This year, the production of the event had a late start resulting in many brands not being able to participate. After much deliberation, it was decided that moving forward with the festival, at this time, would lead to a disappointing experience for attendees, participants and sponsors.

May 17, 2014  Bierfest - Albany, New York
Enjoy an evening of German dinner and drink at the German-American Club of Albany at our German Bierfest. Doors open at 5:00 PM. German Lagers, Pilsners, Bocks, and Hefeweizens will be available. May 2, 2012  How Food Systems Shape Cities - New York, New York and the Zofnass Program for Sustainable Infrastructure at the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University will debut their first seminar in an educational series entitled: Transforming Cities How Food Systems Shape Cities.   Participants in the event will have the opportunity to savour locally prepared foods and learn from such notables as Carolyn Steel, author of Hungry City; Brian Halweil: Editor Edible East End, Publisher, Edible Brooklyn and Edible Manhattan, to Adam Freed, Deputy Director, NYC Mayor's Office of Long Term Planning and Sustainability.
