October 11-12, 2013  WhiskyFest New York - New York, New York
WhiskyFest is the longest running whisky festival in the country and is held in Chicago, San Francisco, and New York.  WhiskyFest offers you the opportunity to taste from a selection of more than 250 whiskies from around the world; many of them rare and exclusive. Meet the whisky makers at their booths to learn first-hand how the whiskies are made. Take some time to enjoy the never-ending gourmet buffet.

October 13, 2013  Troy Chowderfest - Troy, New York
It's Soup for the People!  Going into its seventh year for 2013, the Troy Chowderfest welcomes chowder-lovers throughout Capital Region to come out and judge who has the best chowder in the area. On the Sunday of Columbus Day weekend, over 30 restaurants fill Riverfront Park, with decorated booths and all sorts of creative chowders. It's a full day of fall food, live music, and family fun!  Prizes are awarded for best seafood, vegetarian, most original and overall favorite – judged by a secret panel of local restaurant critics. Festival-goers are able to vote on the coveted 'People's Choice' award.

The Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival presented by FOOD & WINE pays homage to one of the greatest dining cities in the world. It is the only festival in New York to bring together both legendary culinary icons from around the globe and America's most beloved television chefs.  The New York City Festival benefits the hunger-relief programs of Food Bank For New York City and Share Our Strength. One hundred percent of the net proceeds from the Festival go directly to these community-based organizations.

The event will take place at the home of the original Williamsburg Savings Bank in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. October 16, 2012  Ocean Spray's Big Apple Bog - New York, New York
Ocean Spray will be hitting the Big Apple again this year for the 8th time at New York’s Rockefeller Center, and this year, the event is focused on sharing the tasty little secrets of the exceptional cranberry.  New to this year’s Big Apple Bog are “Taste and Tell” video booths. Housed within the farm stand at the bog, these stations will allow people to taste a variety of Ocean Spray juice drinks or Craisins Dried Cranberries and record video testimonials describing their tasting experiences. A live wheat field, approximately one quarter of an acre in size, will sprout at New York City’s South Street Seaport. The Wheat Foods Council’s “Urban Wheat Field Experience,” will educate the public about how, where and when wheat grows; how it becomes the food on their plates; and how it affects their health after they eat it.
