'Pride of New York' event features New York State wines and craft beers, local foods, cheeses, spices,flavored olive oils, rubs, sauces, honey and maple products as well as selected artisans all representing "The Pride of New York" State.  August 10th 11 AM to 6 PM  August 11th 12PM to 5 PM at Lockwood Arena, Ogdensburg.  Admission is $5.00 free wine glass to the first 1,000 people through door.

The annual celebration emphasizes agriculture as one of the state's largest and most important industries, entertaining families, and showcasing the talents and aspiriations of youth. The fair promotes agricultural growth and awareness through educational programs, statewide competitions, and supporting sales of the state's agricultural and food products. August 2-5, 2012  Phelps Sauerkraut Festival - Phelps, New York
Celebrates the Phelps area's history as one of the largest producers of sauerkraut in the world. Events include live music, 20k race, Kraut Idol, fireworks, arts & crafts, a parade and a kraut-eating contest.

August 2-5, 2012  49th Annual Eden Corn Festival - Eden, New York
Bring your family and friends to experience a wide variety of delicious foods, midway rides, tractor pulls, square dancing, arts & craft shows, auto shows, country music entertainers, impersonators and much much more all while visiting the "Garden of Eden".

August 4, 2012  Cortland Arts & Wine Festival - Cortland, New York
The 6th annual festival will feature a juried art show, Finger Lakes wineries, food vendors and live music all day.

August 4-5, 2012  20th Annual Glorious Garlic Festival - Fox Run Vineyards, Penn Yan, New York
Like grapes, some varieties of garlic do better in certain places. Such a place is the Finger Lakes, where at present between 70 and 100 strains are cultivated. Garlic food tent, cooking demonstrations, garlic vendors, beverage tent, music.

August 11, 2012  North Fork Craft Beer, BBQ and Wine Festival - Jamesport, New York
Long Island's premier beer festival will showcase the finest craft breweries – more than 50 in all – from across the country and will pair them with outstanding BBQ prepared by Maple Tree BBQ and award-winning wines from Martha Clara Vineyards and other local Long Island wineries.

August 11, 2012  Wine, Paws and Claws - Romulus, New York
Come to Swedish Hill Winery, jam out to live music and enjoy delicious barbecue foods and wines by the glass under our scenic pavilion surrounded by vineyards. While there’s no cover charge to get in, we do encourage donations to Beverly’s Animal Shelter on this evening. The shelter will also be bringing some furry friends to the event.

The Hunter Mountain German Festival always brings smiles to the faces of German-Americans and everyone else who attends. The good-time music is sure to get you up on your feet... or at the very least tapping your feet. Traditional German-American foods, Schuhplattler Dancers, plus some new entertainers, plenty of vendors, plus fun activities for the kids.

August 12, 2012  Beacon Sloop Club Corn Festival - Beacon, New York
The annual Corn Festival helps raise funds for the upkeep of the club's flagship, The Woody Guthrie, and for sailing and educational programs. The Woody, a wooden replica of a gaff-rigged Hudson River ferry sloop, will be on hand for free sails on the Hudson during the festival. There will be live music including folk legend and environmentalist Pete Seeger. Come on down to get "Buck-an-Ear" corn and enjoy a great variety of local foods, crafts, and environmental booths.

Sponsored by the Highland Rotary Club, Ribfest celebrates its 8th year as the region's largest and most unique barbecue food event for the whole family. Sit back while you eat and listen to our music line-up, or learn how to cook like the pros in our demonstration tent.

August 19-22, 2012  Gourmet Housewares Show - New York, New York
Held annually in August. Specifically designed for upscale housewares including gadgets, cookware, cutlery, bakeware, tabletop, small electrics, kitchen textiles, and specialty foods. Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

August 25-26, 2012  Long Island Maritime Museum”s Annual Seafood Festival
West Sayville, Long Island, New York
Combines arts & crafts, education and entertainment with some of the island's best seafood. Attendance: 18,000.
