Glens Falls Brewfest
Glens Falls, New York
Queensbury Hotel, 4pm to 8pm.  Tastings from over 20 brewers including local, regional and national favorites. Have some fun and support Adirondack Theatre Festival and the Feeder Canal Alliance.

April 1, 2017  11th Annual Spring Craft Beer Festival - Elmont, New York
New location at Belmont Park Racetrack.  More than 50 craft breweries will be in attendance, pouring samples of their finest brews-more than 100 in all.  The brewery lineup will include many of Long Island's favorites and some new additions-notable national craft breweries who will be making their festival debut.

April 1, 2017  Spring Family Freshwater Fishing Festival
Belmont Lake State Park, New York
Held at Belmont State Park, the event marks the start of the spring trout stocking program on Long Island. Activities include open fishing, fishing instruction, fly casting demos, displays, fish cleaning services, games and refreshments.

April 1-2, 2017  Central New York Maple Festival - Marathon, New York
Festival highlights include music, juried craft show, pancakes, sugar shack, making maple syrup, train ride, and dog demos.  The tapping of maple trees some as old as the area itself, has been a tradition in Cortland County since the days of the Iroqouis Indian culture. Through the years, maple syrup production has provided income for area farmers, and has grown with the times and advances in technology.

April 4, 2017  Night Out for No Kid Hungry - New York, New York
No child in should grow up hungry in America, but one in five children struggles with hunger. Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign is ending childhood hunger in this nation by connecting kids in need with nutritious food and teaching families how to cook healthy, affordable meals. You can help surround kids with the nutritious food they need where they live, learn and play.

April 8, 2017  New York City BBQ Cookoff - Staten Island, New York
Come visit New York City’s authentic living history village for the only BBQ cookoff within the five boroughs that has been sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society!  A family-oriented event that includes BBQ sampling, judging, cash prizes, amusements, and live entertainment.

Growing out of the first Earth Day, Earth Day Network (EDN) works with over 22,000 partners in 192 countries to broaden, diversify and mobilize the environmental movement. More than 1 billion people now participate in Earth Day activities each year, making it the largest civic observance in the world.

April 22, 2017 - New York City Chili Cookoff - Staten Island, New York
This cookoff is a Regional event, which means winners will qualify for the World Championship in October in Palm Spring, CA!  Come visit New York City’s authentic living history village for the only chili cookoff within the five boroughs that has been sanctioned by the International Chili Society!  A family-oriented event that includes chili sampling, judging, cash prizes, amusements, and live entertainment.

April 22-23, 2017  5th Annual NYC Hot Sauce Expo - Brooklyn, New York

Beer competitions and daily cooking demonstrations.

Variety the Children's Charity of New York is pleased to present the second year of Varieaty: Local Eats to Benefit Local Youth! During this week-long initiative local food vendors partner up with Variety the Children's Charity of New York in support of providing therapeutic arts programs for the tri-state area's most underserved youth. The Archaeological Institute of America's 2013 Gala focuses on the culture and history of Greece.  This black-tie event will entice the senses with a contemporary version of an ancient Greek feast, musical performances, and an auction of exclusive travel experiences led by the world’s leading archaeologists. Executive chef Joseph Jenkins will collaborate with an archaeologist to construct the courses of the Greek feast using only ingredients available to these ancient people, while simultaneously enticing the palates of modern-day Gala goers.

April 24, 2010  Utica's Riggiefest - Utica, New York
‘Chicken Riggies’ are a way of preparing rigatoni in a creamy marinara sauce with chicken and spices. Many restaurants in Central New York offer Chicken Riggies on their menu. Restaurants from all of Central NY via for 1st place and the Riggie Cup. 1st-3rd place are determined by attendees and a voting process; 2008’ over 3,000 people in attendance. Live entertainment, children’s area w/ “Riggie Crafts”, Wine Tasting, and “Riggie Merchandise. All proceeds benefit the YWCA Mohawk Valley.
