Shawangunk Wine Trail Event.  Savor the region’s finest wines, one delicious sip at a time paired with a variety of scrumptious food bites over the course of one or two days. Each of the thirteen member wineries has selected cheese, meat, salad, pasta, or dessert to offer with their wines. Receive a souvenir wine glass at the starting winery of your choice and continue on a self-guided tour of the SWT at your own pace.

April 6, 2019 - Glens Falls Brewfest - Glens Falls, New York
Queensbury Hotel, 4pm to 7pm.  Tastings from over 20 brewers including local, regional and national favorites. Have some fun and support Adirondack Theatre Festival and the Feeder Canal Alliance.

April 6, 2019 - New York City BBQ Cookoff - Staten Island, New York
Come visit New York City’s authentic living history village for the only BBQ cookoff within the five boroughs that has been sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society!  A family-oriented event that includes BBQ sampling, judging, cash prizes, amusements, and live entertainment.

April 6-7, 2019  49th CNY Maple Festival - Marathon, New York
Festival highlights include music, juried craft show, pancakes, sugar shack, making maple syrup, train ride, and dog demos.  The tapping of maple trees some as old as the area itself, has been a tradition in Cortland County since the days of the Iroqouis Indian culture. Through the years, maple syrup production has provided income for area farmers, and has grown with the times and advances in technology.

April 13-14, 2019  7th Annual NYC Hot Sauce Expo - Brooklyn, New York
Come to New York for this 2 day Fiery Foods Festival to get the ultimate endorphin rush.


The weekend promises to be packed with entertainment with live music, fire breathers, spicy food vendors, awards show, eating challenges & contests, adult beverages and the BEST Hot Sauce Companies from North America. There isn't a better place in NYC to get your food cranked up.

April 14, 2019  Cochon555
New York, New York
5 - 7:30 pm.  Cochon555, the nation’s acclaimed culinary, wine and spirit celebration in support of charity and education, is celebrating 10 years during their 2019 nationwide tour. The events will feature more than 100 prominent chefs, farmers, sommeliers, distillers, brewers, and barkeeps all working to create luxurious moments that educate the palate. The tour stated in Dallas and culiminates with the national finale, Grand Cochon, in Chicago. At each stop on the tour, five notable chefs are tasked with preparing a 200-pound pig and presenting a "Judge's Plate" that will be scored by celebrity judges and participants. The winner of each local competition will advance to the finale in September.

The 2019 Media Awards will be hosted at Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers in New York City. The Awards will celebrate the thrilling ways that technology has strengthened our connections through food, from the blog post that sparks a trend, to the Instagrams that inspire us, and the shared images that become our portal to cuisine from far afield.

The James Beard Awards Gala and Reception.  Known as the Oscars of the food world, the James Beard Awards cover all aspects of the industry: chefs and restaurateurs, cookbook authors and food journalists, restaurant designers and architects, and more. The James Beard Awards are the highest honor for food and beverage professionals in America.

April 26-28, 2019  27th Annual Wine & Herb Festival
Cayuga Lake , New York
Sample wines at each winery along the Cayuga Wine Trail and receive a different herb at each stop. Build your garden, while sipping our fine wines and savoring herb prepared cuisine.  April 26-28 and May 3-5, 2019.

April 27, 2019  New York City Chili Cookoff - Staten Island, New York
This cookoff is a Regional event, which means winners will qualify for the World Championship in October!  Come visit New York City’s authentic living history village for the only chili cookoff within the five boroughs that has been sanctioned by the International Chili Society!  A family-oriented event that includes chili sampling, judging, cash prizes, amusements, and live entertainment.

April 27, 2019  Annual Spring Craft Beer Festival - Elmont, New York
New location at Belmont Park Racetrack.  More than 50 craft breweries will be in attendance, pouring samples of their finest brews-more than 150 in all.  The brewery lineup will include many of Long Island's favorites and some new additions-notable national craft breweries who will be making their festival debut.

April 27, 2019  Hudson Valley Mac & Cheese Fest
Washingtonville, New York
Sample Mac & Cheese creations from some of the finest restaurants and Chefs in the Hudson Valley. Entry with all tickets include a free self guided tour of the winery and lots of Mac and Cheese samples as your taste buds will decide who will be crowned the king of Mac and Cheese! This is a family event – kids 12 and under are FREE and we are expecting this event to be sold out before it begins.

April 27-28, 2019  22nd Annual 'TAP' New York Craft Beer & Food Festival - Hunter, New York
New York's largest craft beer festival.  Over 120 breweries representing over 300 individual beers offer everything from IPAs and lagers to wiesbiers, doppel and trippel bocks, stouts, ales... pretty much any variety you know of, and probably a few that you don't. Beer competitions and daily cooking demonstrations.

April 30, 2019  Healthy Brand Showcase - New York, New York
Healthy Brand Showcase is a one-day product showcase featuring new health, wellness, fitness, nutrition, and natural beauty products. April 7, 2018  Spring Family Freshwater Fishing Festival
Belmont Lake State Park, New York
Held at Belmont State Park, the event marks the start of the spring trout stocking program on Long Island. Activities include open fishing, fishing instruction, fly casting demos, displays, fish cleaning services, games and refreshments.

April 20-22, 2018 - Spring Wine & Cheese Weekend
Seneca Lake, New York
An incredibly popular event, combining the classic tastes of wine and cheese into one delectable weekend. It is a self-guided tour around beautiful Seneca Lake and a chance to visit over 30 unique wineries.

Variety the Children's Charity of New York is pleased to present the second year of Varieaty: Local Eats to Benefit Local Youth! During this week-long initiative local food vendors partner up with Variety the Children's Charity of New York in support of providing therapeutic arts programs for the tri-state area's most underserved youth. During VariEATy 2017 vendors donate a percentage of sales back to Variety the Children's Charity of New York.
