This annual event attracts the best BBQ competitors in the country and continues to grow in popularity year after year. Sampling opportunitites, food and beverage concessions and live entertainment.

September 2-3, 2023 - National Buffalo Wing Festival
Buffalo, New York
Highmark Stadium.  Includes the U.S. Chicken Wing Eating Championships and National Wing Sauce-Off Competition.  Celebrity Chef Challenge, sponsored by Frank”s RedHot Cayenne Pepper Sauce, the sauce used to create the original Buffalo Wings in 1964.   Attendance: 60,000.

September 2-4, 2023  Richmond County Fair - Staten Island, New York
As Staten Island’s only County Fair, the grounds of Historic Richmond Town will host one of the biggest, longest running and well-attended festivals in the county - all while supporting local businesses and authentic Staten Island staples!

September 7-10, 2023  65th Annual Niagara County Peach Festival
Lewiston, New York
This is Niagara County’s oldest and largest event! An old fashioned festival complete with a parade, peach shortcake, great carnival food, entertainment and a midway of exciting rides at Academy Park in Historic Lewiston.  (also: www.lewistonkiwanis.org/ )

September 8-10, 2023  181st Long Island Fair
Old Bethpage, New York
The Long Island Fair takes place with thousands of exhibits competing for blue ribbons in categories such as culinary, horticulture, live stock and needlework. There will also be jugglers, magic and puppet shows and craft demonstrations with live concerts and dancing. Local lumberjacks will be demonstrating crosscut sawing and log rolling contests.  The Old Bethpage Village restoration is a 209 acre recreated living museum village with dozens of historical structures that include barns, and an old fashion general store. It is the official site of the Long Island Fair, which originally was in Mineola and dates back to 1842 in Queens, before Nassau County was formed.

September 9, 2023  Mohawk Valley Garlic and Herb Festival
Little Falls, New York
Eat, Stink, & Be Merry!  Located on the Erie Canal in Little Falls, NY.  Garlic, including many, many varieties grown here in the Mohawk Valley.  Locally produced artisan foods, and cheeses.  Fine arts, live music and many beautiful shopping and dining opportunities.  Horse-drawn carriage rides along the Erie Canal from 11-3.  Demos and educational lectures throughout the day. So much garlic and so much more!
 


 

September 9, 2023  Central New York's Tomatofest - Auburn, New York
The festival was created to bring the community together and provide a public venue for not-for-profit organizations. People from all over Central New York come to enjoy the great food, music, crafts, and entertainment for the whole family.  Donations from TomatoFest each year enable local food pantries to provide more than 10,000 meals to Cayuga County residents. Approximately 50% of those meals provide food for families with children.  Attendance: 13,000.

September 9, 2023  14th Pig Island NYC - Staten Island, New York
More than 20 chefs will come together for this pork-laden festival and compete for the most delicious porcine dishes. There will also be craft beer, hard cider, spirits and other food offerings – all-included with a general admissions ticket!  Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden, an historic 83-acre campus with dynamic programming in the arts, agriculture, horticulture, and education – plus plenty of parking.  Snug Harbor on Staten Island from 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

September 9-10, 2023  Hudson Valley Wine & Food Fest
Rhinebeck, New York
A celebration of the gourmet lifestyle in the Hudson Valley. The Fest features hundreds of wines from all over New York and the world, more than 100 gourmet specialty food, fine art, & lifestyle vendors, food sampling from some of the region’s best restaurants and live entertainment.  Visitors can learn about wine and food from our many Cooking demonstrations and Food & Wine seminars throughout the weekend and enjoy the rare opportunity to meet and speak to the wine makers from some of New York’s best wineries.  Always the weekend following Labor Day, the Hudson Valley Wine & Food Fest takes place at the beautiful Dutchess County Fairgrounds in historic Rhinebeck, New York.  Parking is free and we’re a short trip from the Rhinecliff train station.

September 9-10, 2023  41st Annual Septemberfest
Forestville, New York
Merritt Estate Winery. Weekend after Labor Day. Septemberfest annual grape harvest festival. Grape stomping, Chiavetta’s famous BBQ chicken. Food, wine and beverages; free wine tours and tastings. Class car cruise, live music, craft vendors, dancing, live and silent auction proceeds to benefit a non-profit charity.

September 14-24, 2023  Annual Feast of San Gennaro
New York, New York
Presented annually since 1996 by Figli di San Gennaro, Inc. (Children of San Gennaro), a not-for-profit community organization dedicated to keeping alive the spirit and faith of the early Italian immigrants, this year’s Feast is expected once again to attract more than one-million people from the four corners of the globe to the streets of Little Italy to participate in the annual Salute to the Patron Saint of Naples.  Colorful parades, free musical entertainment every day, a wide variety of ethnic food delicacies, charming restaurants and cafes and even a world-Famous Cannoli-Eating Competition!   Attendance: 1 million.

September 16, 2023  Annual Lowville Cream Cheese Festival
Lowville, New York
Live music all day, competitions; cream cheese mural, milk tray relay, cream cheese bingo, tractor pull, cream cheese toss, world's largest cheesecake, cream cheese recipe contest, etc.

September 16-17, 2023  Annual Harvest Festival
Cooperstown, New York
The Farmers' Museum.  Join us for this ultimate celebration of autumn! Harvest Festival is a regional favorite. Enjoy great food, music, animals, and activities your family will love.

September 16-17, 2023  18th Annual Cuba Garlic Festival
Cuba, New York
The annual festival will include the Garlic Festival King & Queen, garlic cook-off contest, great garlic bulb contest, garlic hot dog eating contest, and amateur wine making competition.  NEW CATEGORY for 2022 - Wineries, Microbreweries, Cideries & Distilleries  Attendance: 9,000.

September 17, 2023  Purple Foot Festival - Fairport, New York
Casa Larga's Purple Foot Festival is one of the largest grape stomping festivals in the Eastern U.S. Celebrate harvest through the old world tradition of stomping grapes. Festival highlights include wine tastings, winery tours, live music, wine seminars, gourmet food sampling, and local vendors.

September 23, 2023  Pour the Core: Hard Cider Festival
Yaphank, New York
Southaven County Park in Yaphank.  A fantastic fall day filled with ciders from local, national and international cider makers, plus a donut eating contest, food trucks, and more!

September 23, 2023  8th Annual Saratoga Giant PumpkinFest Weigh-Off
Saratoga Springs, New York
Giant pumpkin growers from the Northeast will again compete at this Festival to find the biggest pumpkin of the year.  A FREE family friendly event. These giant pumpkins begin arriving in the early AM with the weigh off starting at 11 a.m. There is the Saratoga Farmers Market next door on High Rock Avenue, food vendors, and special exhibits.

September 23, 2023  Annual Taste of the Seaport - New York, New York
An annual fall festival that celebrates the amazing food and beverage scene nestled in Lower Manhattan comprising the Financial District and the Historic South Street Seaport. With musical entertainment, children’s activities and sublime treats from more than 40 food and beverage purveyors, proceeds from the event benefit arts and enrichment programs at two local elementary schools, PS 343 Peck Slip School and PS 397 Spruce Street School.

September 23-24, 2023  Naples Grape Festival - Naples, New York
Since 1961, the festival is held every September in our valley to celebrate the area's grape harvest, talented artisians, wine makers, local and regional music and cuisine.  Enjoy wine, food, arts, crafts and local/regional music.  Bake a pie for the World's Greatest Grape Pie Contest and sample every thing "grape" that our valley has to offer.

September 23-24, 2023  AppleUmpkin Festival - Wyoming, New York
Celebrates the harvest season in the Wyoming area, where apple orchards and pumpkin patches abound. Revel in the final golden days of summer along gaslit streets lined with hundreds of craft vendors, strolling entertainers and the mouth-watering aromas of delectable festival treats!

September 23-24, 2023  Tri State Seafood Festival - Warwick, New York
You will dine on seafood creations such as Maine lobster rolls, a raw bar, ceviche, paella, fried seafood, such as calamari, and salmon. The Around the World ticket will take you on a tour through the world with Calamari from Italy, Paella form Spain, New England Lobster Rolls, and the UK Fish and Chips. Don’t leave without the red solo seafood collector’s cup! Live Music.

September 28, 2023  Jalao NYC's First Anniversary Party
New York, New York
Jalao NYC, Manhattan’s hottest Dominican restaurant, is celebrating one year of authentic dishes, dancing alfresco, and signature cocktails on September 28th at Radio Hotel (2420 Amsterdam Avenue). Enjoy a complimentary welcome cocktail, classic parrillada (barbecue), and some of Jalao’s top dishes in celebration of a great year. A weekend celebration of food, fun and the fall. The event has farmers, wineries, bakeries, crafters, food vendors, an apple pie eating competition, apples, apples and more apples. Activities include music, dancing, eating, education, amusement rides, Iron Chef event, craft-fair and street performers.  Attendance: 30,000.

September 30, 2023  Glenville Oktoberfest - Glenville, New York

September 30-Oct 1, 2023  NYC Hot Sauce Expo - Brooklyn, New York
Presented by High River Sauces, the award-winning festival, dubbed “a two-day celebration of all things spicy” by Time Out New York, promises a red hot weekend of pepper praising from the planet’s most prime hot sauce artisans. Fire up your taste buds and sample sauces from more than 50 heat-conjuring vendors while keeping the flames at bay with craft brews and cocktails. General admission tickets ($15). Children under ten can attend free with adult.

September 14, 2021  Odd Man Out : A First Class Dining Experience
New York, New York
Hudson West Kitchen and Craft Bar, 629 W 57th St  - 7:00 PM.  Odd Man Out is a unique dining event in complete darkness. An immersive sensorial experience in which the audience will hear, taste, touch and smell a beautiful story.  The audience will be blindfolded during the whole experience and will have to manipulate the sensorial elements on the table.  After the experience they will be served a  three-course prix fixe meal inspired by the story.  Theater brought to the culinary world the excellence of Hudson West's chef Vasiliki Vourliourtaki.  Hudson West is a neighborhood restaurant that serves up an eclectic variety of flavors in a warm environment. Formally the home of Ousia, this latest concept from the Livanos Family, Hudson West invites you to relax and savor your dining experience in your second home.  The tickets are $150 per person for the experience and a three- course prix fixe meal.  Limited seating.  Guests must show proof of vaccination in order to participate.

September 13, 2019  15th Annual Global Food & Wine  Experience
New York, New York
Unlike any other food and wine event, BCAGlobal incorporates culinary and hospitality students into the event experience as a part of the mentoring focus it fosters. The organization seeks to expose young culinary professionals of color to opportunities and career professionals that will aid in the advancement of their careers.  More than 50 culinary students will work closely with some of New York’s premier industry professionals as they prepare to unveil the latest trends and flavors in food and wine for the event.  Attendees will enjoy culinary samples paired with wine from select restaurants, winemakers, distributors and outlets from around the world.  At Guastavinos 409 E. 59th Street in NYC from 7 PM to 10:30 PM.

September 21, 2019  4th Annual Long Island Hop Fest
Riverhead, New York
Jamesport Farm Brewery, with its 43-acre North Fork farm located in the wine region of Long Island, will once again host the annual L I Hop Fest.  Offering samplings of special locally brewed beers made with locally grown and harvested hops, many brewed in small batches for this event only. Plus, as an added bonus, attendees will also be able to enjoy locally crafted pumpkin beers and limited-release seasonal brews from local breweries. The event will be held at the Jamesport Farm Brewery located at 5873 Sound Ave., Riverhead, NY 11901 from 12:30pm-4:00pm.  Live Music & Giant Pumpkin Chuckers.

The Village Alliance presents the Annual Taste of the Village.  Join neighbors in sampling over 30 local food and wine purveyors in an open tent under the Washington Square Arch.  Tickets go on sale soon, and all proceeds benefit horticultural, sanitation and public safety services in Washington Square Park.

September 17, 2016  5th Annual Hudson Valley Apple Festival
Germantown, New York
NEXT EVENT WILL BE IN 2018.  The Hudson Valley Apple Festival is held annually on the first weekend of autumn in Germantown, NY and the proceeds from the event make it possible for the Germantown Lions Club to provide support for local charities, as well as assist those in the community with hearing and vision needs.  Admission is $5.00 for ages 14 and older.  Admission includes: children's activities, family hayrides, fireworks, live music, an apple crate derby & much more!
