A celebration of food, music, entertainment and arts with an international twist. Restaurant food sampling and demonstrations, wine tasting pavilion,and beer tasting garden.

October 6, 2012  17th World Beer Festival--Durham - Durham, North Carolina
Presented by All About Beer Magazine, the World Beer Festivals are among the premier beer events in the country, with sampling of beers from over 100 breweries, education, and the best local music and food. Part of the proceeds will benefit a local cause.

Benefits the community of Pelham by supporting the Pelham Volunteer Fire Department.  Arts, Crafts, Kids games/rides, face painting, hay rides, clowns, special appearances, giveaways/door prizes, live bands. October 1, 2011  Great Grapes Wine, Arts & Food Festival - Charlotte, North Carolina
Over 200 Wines, Over 20 Wineries, Great Live Music and Wonderful Food and Crafts.

October 1, 2011  32nd Annual Sonker Festival - Mt. Airy, North Carolina
Don't know what sonker is? Then come to this annual festival and find out how delicious this deep dish fruit pie can be! Old-time and bluegrass music, quilt display, weacing, Scottish heritage, sonker, beverages, coffee. Presented by the Surry County Historical Society.
 

 

October 1, 2011  Brushy Mountain Apple Festival - North Wilkesboro, North Carolina
This festival pays tribute to the fruit grown and harvested each fall by apple orchardists from Northwestern North Carolina. Local apple growers set up throughout the festival selling their apples, apple cider, and dried apples. Over 425 arts & crafts vendors highlighting Appalachian heritage crafts, 100 food concessions, and four music stages. Attendance: 160,000.

October 2, 2011  4th Annual Pittsboro Pepper Festival - Pittsboro, North Carolina
Many of our local chefs will be showing off their creativity with pepper dishes using our local peppers. There will be local beer and wine, music and some education on sustainable agriculture. Proceeds will benefit the Abundance Foundation and Piedmont Biofarm Breeding & Research Program.

October 8, 2011  The 13th Annual Charlotte Oktoberfest - Charlotte, North Carolina
This year, we expect more than 100 breweries from across the Southeast and around the world to participate, serving over 350 beers. Attendance: 5,250.

October 8-9, 2011  Mullet Festival - Swansboro, North Carolina
This annual event includes a parade, music, vendors, arts & crafts, kids' area and of course a mullet fry.

October 15, 2011  Taylorsville Apple Festival - Taylorsville, North Carolina
The festival provides a fantastic assortment of entertainment, food and vendors. In honor of the Apple there are an apple peeling contest, an apple dessert contest, an apple theme booth decorating contest, and of course lots of apple vendors from which to buy cider, a large variety of bagged apples, etc.

October 15, 2011  8th Annual Yadkin Valley Grape Festival - Yadkinville, North Carolina
Wine tasting, motorcycle tour of the vineyards and chili cook-off.

October 15-16, 2011  31st Annual North Carolina Oyster Festival - Ocean Isle Beach, NC
The coastal waters of Brunswick County produce an abundance of oysters and each year 30,000 people pay homage to the mighty mollusk at this annual event, which includes live entertainment, arts and crafts vendors, festival food, a road race, kids' area, oyster shucking and an oyster stew cook-off.

October 21-22, 2011  Pumpkinfest - Franklin, North Carolina
Featuring the world famous Pumpkin Roll, the festival also includes old fashioned hay rides, costume parade and contest, great crafts, art, food, music and pumpkin cooking contest.

October 22, 2011  28th Annual Barbecue Festival - Lexington, North Carolina
The largest one day food festival in NC. Crowds average over 100,000 every year. Crafts, entertainment, childrens area, and the best BBQ in the world!

October 22, 2011  2011 NC Yam Festival - Tabor City, North Carolina
This agricultural festival includes a yam cook-off, yam exhibits, parade, Taste of Tabor, fire fighter competition, sweet potato auction, kids' area, arts & crafts and many more activities.
 

 


October 22, 2011  Lake Norman Wine & Food Festival - Cornelius, North Carolina
Taste over 60 different wines from a dozen wineries and sample some of the region's best food, while helping support three deserving charities. Includes wine lectures and cooking demonstrations.

October 27-29, 2011  North Carolina Sweet Potato Festival - South Snow Hill, NC
We encourage everyone to come out and enjoy the food, live entertainment and activities including a sweet potato recipe contest, pageant, 5K Tater Trot, and golf tournament.

October 3, 2009  The Asheville Tourists Fall Festival and Chili Cook-Off - Asheville, NC
Asheville Tourists will host a Fall Festival and Chili Cook-off at McCormick Field, featuring more than 30 different styles of chili, live music from three bands, and affordable fun for the whole family. Tickets will be available at the McCormick Field box office as well as ticketmaster.com.
