Green County Cheese Days
Monroe, Wisconsin
Oldest food fest in the Midwest celebrating cheese and dairy heritage.  Cheese tent, cheese carving, cheesemaking, cow milking contest,dairy farm and barn quilt tours, Swiss entertainment, activities for kids including Family Farm Adventure Tent.  Also tractor show, 3 entertainment stages Children's Parade Friday and The Swiss Colony Cheese Days Parade on Sunday - Wisconsin's only parade led by a herd of Brown Swiss cows. (In even years).

September 21-22, 2024  Annual Wine & Harvest Festival
Cedarburg, Wisconsin
Award-winning wines from Cedar Creek Winery. Tempting foods with a harvest flavor, featuring steamed corn, caramel apples, caramel apple and cherry crepes, kettle corn, apple cider, turkey legs, brats, burgers and savory seasonal delights in food courts all over town.

September 26-29, 2024  New Glarus Oktoberfest
New Glarus, Wisconsin
Oktoberfest offers many spirited activities  in downtown New Glarus including live music, great food, local beer, wagon rides, chainsaw carving, plus plenty of family fun. Live music in the festival tent all weekend!

September 1-4, 2023 - Calumet County Fair - Chilton, Wisconsin
Billed as the "Biggest Little Fair in Wisconsin", the Calumet County Fair is a fun family event with live music, food, kids stage, carnival rides, animals and more.  Showcasing exhibits from area youth including 4-H Clubs, FFA, Girls Scouts, Boy Scouts and many other exhibitors of all ages.

September 1-4, 2023  Wilhelm Tell Festival - New Glarus, Wisconsin
Join us as our community continues its tradition of telling the story of how Wilhelm Tell, his crossbow, and an apple helped Switzerland gain independence. Activities include the play, lantern parade, yodeling concert, and art in the park.

September 2-3, 2023  Taste of Madison - Madison, Wisconsin
Showcases more than 80 local restaurants. 27 beverage stands and three entertainment stages. Benefits local charities. There is no charge for admission or entertainment.

September 8-10, 2023  Darien Cornfest - Darien, Wisconsin
The festival includes corn eating & milk chugging contests, a pageant, carnival, bingo, bike ride, parade, crafts, fireworks, and softball, volleyball & horseshoe tournaments.

September 9, 2023  Annual Chowdown - Plymouth, Wisconsin
Join us and let local, amateur chefs tease your palette as they serve up a variety of exciting dishes for your tasting pleasure.  A full cash bar featuring an amazing selection of wines chosen by award-winning sommelier Jaclyn Stuart from Vintage Elkhart Lake will be available. The evening also features blues music, chances to impact kids in the community and the "Big Cheese" award, presented to the night's winning chef.

September 9, 2023  Annual Pardeeville Watermelon Festival
Pardeeville, Wisconsin
The festival hosts the U.S. Watermelon Speed-Eating and Seed-Spitting Championships. Other activities include an open air farmers market, flea market, arts/crafts, kid's games, music, baked goods auction, and of course, free sliced watermelon for all!

September 9-October 22, 2023  Autumn Harvest Fest Weekends
Mukuwonago, Wisconsin
Saturdays & Sundays only.  Whether you’re continuing a family tradition or starting a new one this fall, The Elegant Farmer offers a family fun farm experience weekends 10 a.m.-5 p.m.  Everyone is welcome to the orchard to pick from our 12 varieties of apples right from the tree or pumpkins from the patch. Enjoy beautiful fall colors aboard a tractor-pulled hayride, pony ride or train ride.

September 16-17, 2023  31st Annual Maple Fall Fest
Marshfield, Wisconsin
Bring the whole family to celebrate Maple Fall Fest in Marshfield. Come hungry to devour stacks of pancakes and sought after potato pancakes all topped with melted butter, exclusive Wenzel Farm Maple Sausage and some of Wisconsin's best local maple syrup sure to satisfy the whole family. After you eat your fill, check out how maple syrup is made and you can take home some syrup and even the tools and knowledge to tap your trees and cook up some homemade maple goodness of your own.

September 22-24, 2023  64th Annual Apple Festival
Gays Mills, Wisconsin
Celebrating the apple harvest with parades, carnival, arts & crafts, flea market, music, dancing, food and festivities. Always the last full weekend in September.

September 22-24, 2023  50th Annual Warrens Cranberry Festival
Warrens, Wisconsin
The largest cranberry festival in the world, with about 100,000 people attending. The small community of approximately 300 people is home to the largest concentration of cranberry marshes in the state, which harvest an average of 285 million pounds of the ruby-red berries. Always the last full weekend in September.  Attendance: 100,000.

September 22-24, 2023  River Falls Bacon Bash - River Falls, Wisconsin
Pig-themed activities for the entire family, live music, merchandise from local artists, bacon vendors and much, much more! Come out and sample bacon-inspired dishes from local restaurants and food vendors. Then cast your vote for the People’s Choice Winner!  Partake in pig-themed activities including pig races, live music, local micro-brewed beer and much more. The Bacon Bash will feature restaurants and food vendors serving dishes ranging from bacon-wrapped delights to ice cream. Some 40 merchandise vendors will be showcasing their products including specialty sauces, ice cream, arts, crafts and novelty items that put a “twist” on marketplace shopping.  The Bacon Bash—now the second largest bacon festival in the Midwest— has been named the Super Qualifier elite event for the World Food Championships.

September 30, 2023  Annual Beef-A-Rama - Minocqua, Wisconsin
Storefront beef roast cook-offs, costumes & unique displays, complimentary snacks, shopping specials, 'Parade of Beef,' celebrity judges, awards & famous beef sandwich sale, arts & crafts, live music.  For over 50 years, Beef-a-Rama has been a premier event drawing visitors for one-of-a-kind fun you can only find in the Northwoods.  Attendance: 12,000.

September 30-Oct 1, 2023  Harvest Farm Dinner - Stoughton, Wisconsin
Third annual Harvest Dinner and inaugural Harvest Weekend at Yowela Farms in Stoughton, WI. This event celebrates Wisconsin’s harvest and highlights the diversity of this region’s rich culture and history. All proceeds go to the Native Food Network and REAP Food Group.

September 10, 2022  Crafty Apple Fest - Chilton, Wisconsin
The community kicks off the fall season with its one-day festival of fun and activities for everyone including live music, artists & crafters, kids' tractor pull, pumpkin bowling, apple and pumpkin beer, and special apple-related food dishes and desserts. Pie Baking Contest.

September 23, 2022  Brew-Ha-Ha - Baraboo, Wisconsin
Taste fabulous Wisconsin Craft beers as you wander through Downtown Baraboo. Participating merchants offer two unique beers to sample. Local breweries will also be onsite pouring featured selections.

Come hungry so you can try everything from sauerkraut and bratwurst to schnitzel and beer-infused mustard. Food vendors will also sell traditional Bavarian and German food such as spit-grilled chicken, warm soft pretzels, potato salad, apple strudel, and honey-dumplings.
