October 1, 2011  29th Annual Apple Affair - Galesville, Wisconsin
Giant omelets cooked in a 4 1/2 foot skillet, 10 foot apple pie, bicycle apple orchard tours, caramel apple, apple cider, apple juice, if its apple, you'll find it here.

October 1, 2011  Stone Lake Cranberry Festival - Stone Lake, Wisconsin
A one-day festival saluting cranberry growing in beautiful northwest Wisconsin. Events include cranberry bake-off contest, cranberry marsh tours, pancake breakfast, crafts, parade, street entertainment, helicopter rides and crate derby.

October 1-2, 2011  Eagle River Cranberry Festival - Eagle River, Wisconsin
Cranberry Fest is a family fun festival having something for everyone with activities being held throughout town. Fresh Locally Grown Cranberries, Cranberry Marsh & Winery tours, Large Arts & Crafts show, Cranberry cook-off, World's Largest Cranberry Cheesecake, Cranberry Food of every kind, Antique Market, Flea Market, Cranberry Fiber Arts and Weavers Show & Sale, etc.

October 1-2, 2011  14th Annual Nekoosa Giant Pumpkin Fest - Nekoosa, Wisconsin
Activities include music, pumpkin weigh-off, pumpkin bake-off, pumpkin carving, pumpkin regatta, pumpkin pie eating contest, car & tractor shows, and vendors.

October 4-8, 2011  World Dairy Expo - Madison, Wisconsin
A five day event showcasing the finest in dairy genetics and the newest technologies available to the dairy industry. Seminars, tours, dairy cattle show and world dairy contests.

October 7, 2011  Fall Into The Season - Nekoosa, Wisconsin
Fall Marketplace and Wine & Spirits Event. Local farmers will sell pumpkins, squash, gourds, cornstalks, specialty potatoes, and lots of other produce. Homemade pies and bakery items, preserves, mixes, old-fashioned carmel apples and fresh grilled food.  Enter your special pie for judging in the Pie Off event.  Baskets of goodies will be up for auction.  Our own master gardener will be available for fall planting advice. Wine and Spirits event will have tastings of various red and white wines, microbrews and select spirits.  Plenty of Hors d'oeuvres and a bottle of wine to take home with you.
 

 

October 7-9, 2011  50th Annual Bayfield Apple Festival - Bayfield, Wisconsin
Revel in the bounty of the fall harvest amidst the scenic beauty of the Apostle Islands during Bayfield's annual celebration of everything apples.

October 7-16, 2011  Reedsburg Fermentation Fest - Reedsburg, Wisconsin
A series of culinary programs related to foods that are fermented or produced with live cultures, such as pickles, cheese, sauerkraut, beer and sourdough bread. Farmers, chefs, artists, authors and cheese makers converge in the beautiful working lands of Sauk County with a series of tastings, demonstrations, cooking classes, art events, brewing seminars, farm tours and more.

October 8-9, 2011  Pumpkin Patch Festival - Egg Harbor, Wisconsin
Fall colors and family fun including scarecrow and pumpkin displays, live music, silent auction, food, rides, arts & crafts and a bonfire.

October 15, 2011  Elkhorn's Oktoberfest - Elkhorn, Wisconsin
Taste of Elkhorn" food vendors, activities and entertainment for kids, live music by 3 bands, a classic car show, even live chainsaw carving! Prepare your taste buds and come hungry to try over 20 different chilis at our Chili Cook-Off Competition. Then wash it all down at the Beer & Wine Tasting Tent! It's a family fun filled event you won't want to miss.

October 16, 2011  Indian Summer Plow Day - Waumandee, Wisconsin
Activities include the air-powered pumpkin cannon, tractor parade, plowing demonstrations, and crafters. Food and beverages will be sold by the Lions Club, with proceeds being donated to community needs and improvement of Harmonia Park.

October 20-23, 2011  Kohler Food & Wine Experience - Kohler, Wisconsin
Enjoy exciting fare from award-winning local and international chefs, soak up culinary knowledge from the food and wine specialists, get your cookbooks signed by their celebrity authors, and so much more. Many events are complimentary.

October 21-23, 2011  10th Annual Madison Food & Wine Show - Madison, Wisconsin

October 3, 2009  Monona Pie Party - Monona, Wisconsin
The very best pie bakers in the area are vying for fabulous prizes, and YOU will be the judge! Each baker will present a pair of their best pies. One will be cut and served for tasting and judging, while the other will be available for silent auction. That means you can try it before you buy it!

October 20, 2007 October Wine Tasting - Maiden Rock, Wisconsin (no website)
McNay's - lower level of the old creamery in Maiden Rock, WI overlooking Lake Pepin.
Admission: Tickets $20.00 pre-sale or $25.00 at the door (reservations required for at the door tickets) Admission includes wine tasting, live music by "Patchouli" - well known folk rock musicians, and hors d'oeuvres along with local art displays.  Call 651-367-9537 for ticket outlets and purchasing info.
