February 1-2, 2019 3rd Annual Organic Vegetable Production Conference
his producer-initiated conference is built around farmer to farmer skill sharing and attracts experienced growers from Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, and beyond. Farmer panelists representing small, mid, and large scale operations will cover technical production information on garlic, onions, peppers, and one-cut salad heads. Management topics include vegetable no-till, greenhouse management, training and retaining labor, and variety selection. Detailed handouts provide an invaluable resource long after the conference ends.

Wisconsin Public Television’s Garden Expo is a midwinter oasis of people ready to get their hands dirty gardening. This is a three-day event celebration that features the latest trends in gardening, landscaping, and edibles. FairShare will be tabling all three days, so come stop by to say hello! We will be selling our cookbooks, tea towel sets, and have information about Community Supported Agriculture in Madison.

Festivities will take place throughout the heart of Cedarburg on Washington Avenue from 8am to 9pm on Saturday, and 8am to 4pm on Sunday. Activities include Ice Carving Contest, Camel Rides, Egg Hunts, Sledding, Ice Skating, Old-Fashioned Dog Pull. Chili Contests at the Community Center, Cedar Creek Settlement will feature live music, Winter Festival Grand Parade and much much more!
