DO AC Smokin' Hot Atlantic City BBQ Championship
Atlantic City, New Jersey
Sixth Annual Jack Daniel's Atlantic City Smoke on the Water BBQ Championship.  When the flames begin, music fans, barbecue enthusiasts and championship barbecue teams will descend upon Atlantic City for what is fast becoming known as one of the premier barbecue competitions in the world.  Considered one of the world's richest contests with a guaranteed purse of $15,000, the Kansas City Barbeque Society sanctioned DO AC Smokin' Hot Atlantic City BBQ Championship Grand Champion's purse of $4,400 is also one the largest on the competition circuit. We're spreading the love by paying top five overall and through fourteen places in all four categories.

October 22-23, 2016  Harvest Food Truck and Wine Festival
Milford, New Jersey
Join us for our last festival of the year and celebrate the end of another great harvest.  This event will feature cuisine from the region’s most award-winning food trucks, Alba’s estate wines, and live music by The VooDUDES.  Food prices vary by truck.  So put on a comfy sweater and gather your wine, food, and music loving friends for a great time!  Admission includes entrance to the event, parking, and music.  $10 for adults 21 and over, $5 for ages 13 to 20, and children 12 and under are free.  No Reservations – pay at the entrance gate.  Wine tastings are available for an additional $10 per person, 21 and older, which includes eight samplings of our nationally award-winning wines in an etched Alba Vineyard wine glass.

October 3, 2015  15th Annual Oktoberfest - Highlands, New Jersey
Veterans Park.  The park is festive with fall decorations, the food is great and the varieties of German beers are even better. Authentic German food is a highlight of this famous festival. Executive Chef Butch Greenwaldt is preparing the menu with plenty of traditional German favorites hot off the grill such as bratwurst, knockwurst, kraut, potato pancakes, goulash, sauerbraten and Bavarian noodles along with other tasty fare those less adventurous.  Quench your thirst with a large variety of Oktoberfest Beers, both light and dark. The beer garden will also serve Riesling wine and Sangria.


October 3, 2015  Appel Farm Music & Wine Festival
Elmer, New Jersey
Grab your friends, and spend the day at Appel Farm Arts & Music Center listening to dynamic regional musicians while sampling exceptional wines.  Appel Farm is partnering with the Vintage Atlantic Wine Region to produce this special festival that features 15 wineries from the region’s unique wine trails spanning NJ, PA, DE and MD. Sample wines from featured Vintage Atlantic Wine Region wineries. As a unique twist to traditional wine festivals, guests are invited to stay overnight in Appel Farm’s modern housing facilities to enjoy additional festivities including dinner, private concert, dessert wine pairing with s’mores and breakfast the next morning. Join a pre-Festival cycling tour of Salem County to see the beautiful countryside including some of the featured wineries from the Festival.

The March of Dimes 13th annual Signature Chefs Auction returns with a gourmet extravaganza featuring the skills and creativity of Central Jersey's finest chefs. Guests will enjoy fabulous cuisine, fine wine, entertainment and the opportunity to bid on incredible auction packages. The March of Dimes is the leading nonprofit organization for pregnancy and baby health. Money raised funds local research and community grants, education programs and advocacy.

October 11, 2015  Belmar's Oktoberfest - Belmar, New Jersey
The festivities kick off with the official Samuel Adams and Hoffbrau keg tapping at 11 am at the Beer Garden in Pyanoe Plaza. Bring the whole family to enjoy plenty of authentic German food, live music, dancing, and fun activities for the kids.  The day will feature special performances by Robin McGill School of Dance at 11:30, live music by Shore Blue, crafters, vendors and fun activities for the younger set. Feeling mighty? Come to the Beer Garden at Pyanoe Plaza at noon to sign up for the official Samuel Adams Stein Hoisting Contest, hosted by the WRAT.

The Dunellen Downtown Management Organization is excited to be sponsoring the first annual Dunellen HarvestFest in Washington Memorial Park (North Washington Avenue from 10am-4pm.  This event will feature artists and crafters from around the Garden State, local nonprofits, activities for kids, foods, music, dancing, and more! A fundraising event, featuring food, wines and the selection of the winning Chef, will benefit Katie's House.  Katie's House provides assisted living for women with disabilities so they may lead meaningful and productive lives as independently as possible  There will be a classical guitarist and a vodka sampling table as well as a silent auction.  Ticket price is $100 per person.
