17th Annual Butterfly Festival
Pennington, New Jersey
Held at the Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., on our 930-acre Watershed Reserve in Hopewell Township, NJ  This family-oriented day has grown to be a major regional event, attracting more than 3,000 visitors. The day will feature new and exciting ways in which the Watershed is fulfilling its mission to protect the environment and clean water. We invite you to join us in modeling ways to participate in the process of keeping our earth green and provide examples of planet-friendly choices to help support greener-living. We will feature local food,crafts and products and feature exhibitors and contributors with many types of art, crafts,photography, sculpture, etc.  There will be activities and workshops, art and entertainment. The popular Butterfly Parade and tours of the Butterfly House. Insect Zoo and live Music!  Attendance: 3,000.

August 4-7, 2016 - 22nd Annual Clam Festival - Highlands, New Jersey
The famous Clam Festival is a four-day spectacular event featuring a 120’ seafood court serving the freshest food from many of Highlands’ famous restaurants. Admission and parking is free, and the event takes place rain or shine.  Live entertainment.  The Clam Fest will feature a Beer and Wine Garden on the corner of Waterwitch and Bay Avenues sponsored by Shore Point Distributing Company.

August 5-14, 2016 - New Jersey State Fair - Augusta, New Jersey
Showcasing New Jersey's agriculture, the fair takes place at the Sussex County Fairgrounds. The schedule includes a farm and horse show as well as food, music, arts, and cultural events.

August 6, 2016 - Monmouth Park Italian Festival
Oceanport, New Jersey
Ciao Bella! Come to Monmouth Park Racetrack for the brand new Italian Fest! Indulge in delicious foods that remind you of the Old Country, listen to classic Italian music, find something unique among craft vendors and take bets on the horse races. The all day event is perfect for families and friends of all ages!

'Truck' erton Food Truck & Brew

Tuckerton, New Jersey
Tuckerton Seaport has added a brand new event to our summer line-up. Join us as Tuckerton become “Truck”erton with 20 food trucks rolling in to serve up food and fun. From 11am to 9pm, the Seaport will have live entertainment and programs perfect for the whole family.   General Admission:  $8 for Adults, $6 for Seniors (age 62 and older), $5 for children ages 5-12 and free for children under 5. Seaport Members are free.

August 20-21, 2016  Annual Seafood Festival - Landisville, New Jersey
Bellview Winery.  Offerings Include wine tasting, live band, raw bar, seafood vendors, sangria carafes and craft vendors. Enough seafood, wine and music to make anybody happy!

August 14, 2016 - Vineland's Jersey Fresh Festival
Vineland, New Jersey
Celebrate New Jersey's agricultural heritage at this free event featuring continuous live entertainment, a variety of delicious foods, crafters, kids activities, exhibits, special guests, and a live produce auction.  Free parking, bring your lawn chairs.  12pm to 6pm.

Food Products and Beverage Trade Show.  The largest Latino market food products and beverage trade show in the United States! This event features the active and dynamic participation of the largest distributors serving the Latino market.   The show will be a the Meadowands Expo Center.  Registration for exhibitors is open NOW!

August 27, 2016 - Peach & Butterfly Festival - Little Silver, New Jersey
Sickles Market, Little Silver, will hold its annual Peach and Butterfly Celebration from Noon – 3 p.m. The celebration’s mission is to create awareness about the very special, delicious New Jersey peach, its many varieties, preparations made with fresh peaches and products made from peaches such as preserves, jams and baked goods. Several activities are scheduled including the highly anticipated Painted Lady butterfly release.  • Live Entertainment with “What is Broken” a female fronted acoustic duo. 12-3 p.m.  • Everything Peaches Tastings & Demos  - baked goods, jams, jellies and preserves, grilled peaches with pork, peach soup and New Jersey peach varieties 1-3 p.m.  • Kids’ Peach Pie Eating Contest 1 p.m.  • Butterfly Release: 1:45 p.m.  ALL EVENTS ARE FREE.

August 28, 2016 - Farm-to-Fork Dinner - Milford, New Jersey
Foodshed Alliance Annual Farm-to-Fork Dinner at Alba Vineyard A Celebration of local foods and farms.  4:00 to 8:00 pm.  A cocktail hour and 7-course wine-pairing dinner will be presented by 9 of New Jersey’s most reputable chefs, featuring locally produced food from farms throughout northern New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania. Each course will be paired with one of Alba's nationally award winning wines beginning with gourmet passed hors d’oeuvres al fresco, a VIP vineyard tour, and elegant dining overlooking Alba's stunning grounds.

August 18, 2013  Barefoot Grape Stomp - Belvidere, New Jersey
Don't miss out on the fun as you stomp grapes with your barefeet and feel the grape skins squeeze between your toes. Grape stomping event includes formal wine tasting, buffet style dinner, wine cellar tour, barefoot grape stomping and concludes with a dessert wine tasting. $53.50 per person includes tax and gratuity.

August 24, 2013  4th Annual Spicy Wing Challenge
Wood Ridge, New Jersey
Buffalo’s Chicken Shack will be hosting its 4th Annual “Spicy Wing Challenge” wing eating contest.  Challengers compete for the title of “Buffalo King” and a grand prize of $1000.00 based on the challenger that can eat the largest amount of our spiciest wings in 7 minutes.   These are Jumbo Buffalo Wings sauced with Buffalo’s “Numb Ya Face” spicy buffalo sauce that is measured at more than 500,000 SHU.  There will be plenty of water, milk and ice on hand for the dropouts or challengers that’ll need special “cool me down” attention.   This will be a great and fun event for the challengers as well as spectators.  Got a sauce you make that’s a hit? Bring it to compete.   A new addition to the annual event is the “Wing Sauce” Contest.  For 2013 we have added the Buffalo’s “Wing Sauce” Contest where contestants will submit their home-style sauces to compete.

August 26, 2012  Sustenance on the Farm Dinner - Morristown, NJ
Fosterfields resident farmer Rob Kibbe will provide a farm tour. The chefs will prepare an elegant farm-to-table six-course dinner centered around Fosterfields, vegtables, grass-fed meat and poultry as well as School Lunch Farms heirloom vegetables. Vegetarian and Vegan options are available.  Rounding out the meal are foods from artisans based within a small radius of the farm and top-rated organic & sustainable wines that will be paired with each course. Live music performed during the dinner.  The proceeds from this Sustenance on the Farm Dinner will benefit Slow Food Northern NJ school garden programs and Fosterfields Living Historical Farm school programs.
