The first Earth Day on April 22, 1970, activated 20 million Americans from all walks of life and is widely credited with launching the modern environmental movement. Growing out of the first Earth Day, Earth Day Network (EDN) works with over 22,000 partners in 192 countries to broaden, diversify and mobilize the environmental movement. More than 1 billion people now participate in Earth Day activities each year, making it the largest civic observance in the world.
April 23-24, 2016 Waretown Wine Festival - Waretown, New Jersey
Festival goers can look forward to sampling wines from a nice variety of award-winning Garden State wineries. In addition to wine tastings, there will also be live entertainment, as well as crafters, retail vendors, food vendors, and a children’s play area. The festival will be held each day from 12 p.m. noon to 5 p.m. ET., rain or shine. The cost to attend is $12 in advance or $15 at the gate for those over 21. A two-day ticket will also be available for $25. Tickets available online. Designated drivers are allowed in for free.

Admission includes entrance to the event, parking, and music. $10 for adults 21 and over, $5 for ages 13 to 20, and children 12 and under are free. No Reservations – pay at the entrance gate. The 5th Annual Red Bank International Beer, Wine & Food Festival is a family friendly, outdoor celebration of International food, music, wine and beer! Twenty five of Red Banks finest eateries will be selling specialty International menu items from tented areas throughout the festival! International wines and beers will also be available for purchase. The festival features unique vendors, kids activities and great live music on two stages. The event is a fundraiser for Red Bank Education Foundation (We’re helping to build a park for needy kids!) and Red Bank RiverCenter. Admission is $5 for anyone over the age of 10.
