Jambalaya Cook-off 2017
Lincoln City, Oregon
Jambalaya is one of the Creole Cookery’s hallmarks. See what our Oregon coast chefs can create at this annual event held at the Culinary Center in Lincoln City.  Admission is free, with samples available for 75¢ and portion sizes for $3 and $5. Professional judges will award cash prizes for the top three finishers and you get to vote for your favorite jambalaya dish to determine the People’s Choice Award!

January 9, 2016  Fun with Fermentation Festival 2016
Eugene, Oregon
Every January the Willamette Valley Sustainable Foods Alliance (WVSFA) puts on an educational event for the public, all about fermented foods. It is an opportunity to meet local producers, get your fermentation questions answered, learn how to make fermented foods at home, and sample some yummy fermented treats.  A suggested entrance donation at the door and a raffle benefits three Eugene-based non-profits. The event also includes live fermentation demonstrations, a kid-zone, fermented meals and the opportunity to mingle with like-minded people in the community.

Eugene, Oregon
Watch all sorts of dogs compete in the annual Joriad Truffle Dog Championship, beginning in Eugene with a series of qualifying events. Spectators can cheer-on the teams as they race to search for hidden truffle-scented targets.

Created to celebrate the magnificent Oregon truffles as they reach the peak of ripeness in their native soil, it is the first festival of its kind in North America, dedicated to sharing the experience of the chefs, foragers and fans of Oregon's wild truffles, from their hidden source in the forest to their glory on the table.

January 26-28, 2016 - Northwest Agricultural Show - Portland, Oregon
The Largest Ag Show in the Northwest!!  It attracts over 200 exhibitors from the Northwest, across the country, and around the world.  The Northwest Ag Show is produced by the Northwest Horticultural Congress and is the result of a partnership between the Oregon Horticultural Society, the Oregon Association of Nurseries, and the Oregon Nut Growers Society.  The goal of the NW Ag Show is to educate the agricultural industry in the very latest equipment, pesticides, business practices and more. As such, the above organizations hold their annual meetings and grower meetings in conjunction with the show dates.

Williamette Valley Vineyards.  Please join us this January to celebrate "Oregon Crab Month" with our annual Mo's Crab & Chowder Festival.
