April 4-7, 2012 33rd Annual Northwest Cherry Festival - The Dalles, Oregon
Parade, open air market, classic car show, health & safety fair, lip sync contest, bike ride and run.
April 6-7, 2012 Spring Beer & Wine Fest - Portland, Oregon
The 18th annual event is held at the Oregon Convention Center. The festival runs from 12 to 11 and is packed with cooking demos, seminars, live music and very unique vendors. Cheesemakers and chocolatiers are to be found among the wineries, breweries and distillers. There are many tasty treats from restaurants to small business selling their latest cullinary creations. This is also a fund raiser for MDA, AMA and other charities.
April 13-14, 2012 59th Annual Pear Blossom Festival - Medford, Oregon
Pear A Fare, the opening event, features locally produced wines and brews, along with local artisan foods. Other activities include the Pear Blossom Run, with over 4,000 participants and the Pear Blossom Parade.

Specialty Coffee Association of America's most prestigious event of the year. (Symposium runs April 18-19).
April 19-22, 2012 US National Barista Championship - Portland, Oregon
The 2012 United States Barista Championship held in conjunction with the Specialty Coffee Association of America's annual exposition and symposium. There are three rounds of judging and the winner will represent the U.S. at the World Barista Championship.
