September 1-4, 2023  Milan Melon Festival - Milan, Ohio
This celebration features rides, games, contests, antique car show, and live musical entertainment. The Grand Parade is on Sunday afternoon. The famous muskmelon ice cream and watermelon sherbet are the must-have treats. It's all found in charming Milan, Ohio.  Attendance: 50,000

September 2-4, 2023  West Jefferson Annual Ox Roast
West Jefferson, Ohio
Held annually over Labor Day weekend, our festival is the only festival that cooks 5,500 lbs. of beef underground. Join us for family oriented entertainment, food, rides, arts & crafts, parade, pageant, bike tour, car show, watermelon, hot dog and ice cream eating contests, and much more.

September 7-9, 2023  Marion Popcorn Festival - Marion, Ohio
Marion County is one of the top popcorn producing counties in the world. Festival has top name entertainment, golf & bowling tournaments, porpcorn cooking contest, and the Orville Redenbacher Parade. Visit the popcorn museum while you're in town.  Attendance: 250,000+

September 8-9, 2023  Lithopolis Honeyfest - Lithopolis, Ohio
Enjoy a fascinating day of unique attractions - honey bee beards; honey in a variety of flavors, colors and textures; and an array of products direct from the hive. Watch honey being extracted from the comb and the State Apiarist demonstrate a hive inspection. Meet the American Honey Princess, Ohio beekeepers and explore beekeeping equipment hands-on. See a real queen bee and her colony up close under the glass of an observation hive.  Buzz over to the food court for scrumptious honey-made food and sample mead at the wine tasting tent.  Grab a honey brew at the beer garden and enjoy a treat from the Honey Bake-Off sale.  Live music on two stages, arts & crafts, and watch the kids have fun creating their own crafts at The Gilmore Group's Busy Beehive.

September 8-10, 2023  50th Annual Mantua Potato Festival
Mantua, Ohio
Join us for the annual Mantua Potato Festival. We will have many activities, contests and exhibits planned throughout the weekend. We are also looking for volunteers and committee members. Thank you to all that have supported us in the past, and we look forward to seeing you all at the Festival!

September 8-10, 2023  Clinton County Corn Festival - Wilmington, Ohio
A family fun event held the weekend after Labor Day every year! Started in 1977 by the Antique Power Club. It is held at the Clinton County Fairgrounds in Wilmington, Ohio. We feature many activates for all ages! Whether you come for the continuous entertainment on our sound stage, games in our special events area, various tractor and antique displays, crafts and antiques, or THE FOOD it is sure you’re going to have a blast!!
 


 

September 14-17, 2023  Oktoberfest Zinzinnati - Cincinnati, Ohio
Oktoberfest Zinzinnati, presented by Sam Adams, is the largest Oktoberfest celebration in the country. More than half-a-million herren und frauen will converge on a six-block area of Fifth Street to eat, sing, mingle, sport lederhosen, listen to polka music, try to speak German and perform the Chicken Dance!  Seven stages showcasing continuous live German music and more than 30 food vendors serving close to 200 dishes. And more than 1,300 barrels of beer, or 1.6 million ounces, are consumed each year at Oktoberfest, the approximate capacity of a small microbrewery.  Attendance: 500,000.

September 15-17, 2023  25th Annual Ohio Pawpaw Festival
Albany, Ohio
A fun-filled and educational event celebrating one of America’s largest native tree fruits, the Pawpaw. Delectable foods, quality entertainment, and unique arts & crafts. Special events include competitions for the best pawpaw, best pawpaw-related work of art, pawpaw cook-off, and the ever-popular pawpaw-eating contest.  Presentations will cover pawpaw growing, cooking, and other related topics.

September 16-17, 2023 - Preble County Pork Festival - Eaton, Ohio
Always 3rd full weekend in September. Entertainment, exhibits, food, parade and more!  Every year the festival is packed with thing to do and see. It lasts all weekend long because there is simply too much to cram into one day! But if there's one things everyone agrees on, it's that the food is always out-of-sight awesome! Over the course of the weekend, a lot of people eat a lot of pork.

September 19-21, 2023  Farm Science Review - London, Ohio
The annual Ohio State University Farm Science Review, sponsored by the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences.  Over 130,000 Farmers, Industry Professionals, FFA Students and Agricultural Enthusiasts during the three-day event.   Attendance: 130,000.

September 21-24, 2023  59th Annual Barnesville Pumpkin Festival
Barnesville, Ohio
The Barnesville Pumpkin Festival has become a tradition for families and friends who come each year to enjoy one of Ohio's oldest and most popular festivals. Always held during the last full weekend in September, the Festival includes four days of fun-filled contests, entertainment, tastes, sights and sounds.  The festival started in 1963 in the basement of the Catholic Church and has has evolved from a small street fair to a premier event with visitors attending from all over the United States. Both adults and children will enjoy harvest-inspired arts and crafts, home-style foods, entertainment on two stages, a giant weigh-in of champion pumpkins, lots of fun contests and the Giant Pumpkin Festival Parade on Saturday. There is plenty to see and do and, best of all, admission is free.

September 23-24, 2023  58th Geneva Grape Jamboree - Geneva, Ohio
Celebrates the harvesting of the local grapes. Taste freshly squeezed grape juice, wine, and various other grape products. All grand-stand entertainment, including the grape stomping contest, is free. Miss Grapette is featured in the two giant parades each afternoon. Rides, crafts, food, and other concessions pack the downtown streets during this grape filled weekend.

September 23-24, 2023  Annual Country Applefest - Lebanon, Ohio
The Warren County Fairgrounds in Lebanon will be filled with homemade crafts, great food and entertainment. Enter the apple bake off contest.

September 23-24, 2023  43rd Annual Germantown Pretzel Festival
Germantown, Ohio
Fall festival held on the fourth full weekend in September, since 1980, featuring handcrafts, good food, and free entertainment with live music & shows, baked goods & pretzels!

September 28-30, 2023  Annual Ohio Swiss Festival
Sugarcreek, Ohio
Held in Sugarcreek, the Little Switzerland of Ohio, with parades, queen pageant, musical entertainment, rides, 5K Swiss Cheese Chase, cheese auction, cheesemaking contest, Steintossen stone throwing, yodeling Swiss cheese eating and Swiss costume contests. Sample award-winning wine and cheese from our local artisans throughout the festival.

September 29-Oct 8, 2023  Cleveland Beer Week - Cleveland, Ohio
CBW is a combination of the main flagship events coupled with hundreds of events at local bars and eateries during the week that feature keg tappings, beer pairings, tasting dinner, brewer meet and greets, and educaitonal events throughout greater Cleveland. There truly is something for Everyone at Cleveland Beer Week.  Established in 2009, Cleveland Beer Week is a not-for-profit celebration that raises awareness of the craft beer industry and promotes patronage at local establishments. But we are also philanthropic---proceeds from all of Cleveland Beer Week's flagship events benefit the Malone Scholarship Fund.

September 9-11, 2022  Italian Fall Festa - Kettering, Ohio
A weekend of great Italian food, wonderful Italian music, good friends, and a fun game of Bocce on the beautiful, spacious, shaded grounds of Bella Villa! Dinners, Meatball Madness 5K and spaghetti eating contest.

September 17-18, 2022  Annual Johnny Appleseed Festival
Lisbon, Ohio
Many local organizations provide old fashioned apple butter, apple ice cream, apple fritters & apple dumplings. There is an apple pie baking contest along with 35 food concessions, arts & crafts including yarn spinning, goat milk soap, chain saw wood crafts, dunk tank, games, dancing, music and theatre.

September 25-26, 2022  Mid-America Restaurant Expo - Columbus, Ohio
The Mid-America Restaurant Expo attracts more than 4,000 experts, exhibitors and operators from throughout the Midwest to discuss the latest trends and topics affecting the restaurant industry. Its exhibit hall showcases the newest equipment and tools created specifically for restaurants, in addition to the most innovative food and beverage products available. Centered on collaborative education, the Expo features more than 50 educational seminars available to all attendees. The show is geared toward independent operators, regional chains, and is perfect for start-ups and veteran operators alike.  Attendance: 5,000

September 26, 2020 - 3rd Annual Eat Like A Kid Again - Cleveland, Ohio
Join us for Children’s Hunger Alliance’s 3rd annual Eat Like A Kid Again tasting event. Enjoy grownup versions of your favorite childhood food and drinks prepared by local chefs.  Proceeds from the event will go toward providing healthy meals to food-insecure children in Northeast Ohio.

September 17-21, 2019  Apple Week - Sauder Village, Archbold, Ohio
Fall is the favorite season for many in the Midwest, and what better way to welcome in the season with a week dedicated to apples.  Sauder Village will be highlighting this fall fruit throughout the week with special apple-themed recipes in our historic homes and hands-on activities. Visitors will also be able to visit our 130 year-old cider mill-it’s a guest favorite!  On Friday and Saturday guests can join us for a day of apple butter making! Watch us schnitz and stir our way through a batch of delicious apple butter. Sneak a sample fresh from the kettle and make this harvesting tradition one of your family’s own!

September 20-21, 2019  Jamestown Bean Festival - Jamestown, Ohio
All during the Festival the bean tent is open serving bean soup, Mexican beans, baked beans, burgers, chops, sausages and more. On Saturday morning the Fire Department has a really great pancake and sausage breakfast at the fire house.  Auction with lots of items donated by local businesses -Some really good stuff for some really good prices for some really good causes!  The money raised during the event goes back into the community and donations for many causes the Lions help with.

September 6, 2018 - Taste to Remember - Cincinnati, Ohio
Annual Taste to Remember.  Freshly prepared food and fine wine will delight your senses as you tour the silent auction and vie for the chance to have a local chef dazzle you with a delicious, multi-course meal in your home.  Your fabulous night out will benefit Children’s Hunger Alliance.

September 22, 2018  Taste of Yesteryear - Peninsula, Ohio
The Northampton – Cuyahoga Valley Rotary Club of is sponsoring the first annual “Taste of Yesteryear” food fest to be held in conjunction with the Peninsula Foundation’s 10th annual Music on the Porches event in Peninsula, Ohio. The food fest will be located on the east lawn of the Peninsula Methodist Church at the corner of State Route 303 and Locust St. in Peninsula.  The Foundation’s annual Music on the Porches event is a village-wide happening which celebrates music, arts and culture in the Cuyahoga Valley.

September 8-10, 2017 - 41st Annual South Vienna Corn Festival
South Vienna, Ohio
A community-wide event held annually on the weekend after Labor Day to celebrate the beautiful autumn season. There is something for everyone--a parade, rides, entertainment, craft market, queen pageant and plenty of food!

September 22-23, 2017  Cincinnati Food + Wine Classic
Cincinnati, Ohio
A celebration of the Midwest through grand tastings, demos, wine seminars, competitions, after parties and more.   A portion of proceeds will go to the Freestore Foodbank, the event’s non-profit partner.
