August 31-Sept 3, 2011  The Sweet Corn Festival - Millersport, Ohio
Come enjoy hot butter flavored sweet corn served fresh on the cob and piping hot. Bring the whole family to experience a wide variety of delicious foods, large midway, tractor pulls, square dancing, contests galore, farm animals, historical exhibits and top-name country music entertainers while strolling the shady Historic Lions Park.

August 31-Sept 5, 2011  Van Wert County Apple Festival - Van Wert, Ohio
Apple Exhibits & Informational Pamphlets; Apple Cider Pressing, Fresh Caramel Corn Making; Outdoor Cooking; Huge Craft Exhibit with large variety of crafters; Youth Art Contest/Display; Children's Games; etc.

September 3-5, 2011  Milan Melon Festival - Milan, Ohio
53rd Annual Labor Day weekend celebration with rides, games, contests, an antique car show, baby contest, entertainment, grand parade, Queen's contest and more. Our famous muskmelon ice cream and watermelon sherbet are the must-have treats.

September 3-5, 2011  West Jefferson Annual Ox Roast - West Jefferson, Ohio
Held annually over Labor Day weekend, our festival is the only festival that cooks 5,500 lbs. of beef underground. Join us for family oriented entertainment, food, rides, arts & crafts, parade, pageant, bike tour, car show, Madison Co. Idol contest and much more.

September 4-5, 2011  7th Annual Taste of Hudson - Hudson, Ohio
This two-day culinary and lifestyle festival is held annually over Labor Day weekend and attracts over 35,000 people to Hudson’s historic downtown.  Visitors sample delicious foods from over 20 area restaurants while enjoying live entertainment, fine arts and crafts, children’s activities, and a wine and beer garden. Attendance: 35,000.
 

 

September 8-10, 2011  Marion Popcorn Festival - Marion, Ohio
Marion County is one of the top popcorn producing counties in the world. Festival has top name entertainment, golf & bowling tournaments, popcorn cooking contest, and the Orville Redenbacher Parade. Visit the popcorn museum while you're in town.

September 9-11, 2011  Italian Fall Festa - Kettering, Ohio
A weekend of great Italian food, wonderful Italian music, good friends, and a fun game of Bocce on the beautiful, spacious, shaded grounds of Bella Villa! Dinners, Meatball Madness 5K and spaghetti eating contest.

September 9-11, 2011  36th Annual Mantua Potato Festival - Mantua, Ohio
To be held in Buckert Park, the festival will feature many food items made from potatoes: candy, doughnuts, perogies, pancakes, bread, cookies and more. We have a bake off on Saturday and a ton of fun all weekend.

September 9-11, 2011  35th Annual South Vienna Corn Festival - South Vienna, Ohio
A community-wide event held annually on the weekend after Labor Day to celebrate the beautiful autumn season. There is something for everyone--a parade, rides, entertainment, craft market, queen pageant and plenty of food!

September 10, 2011  Lithopolis Honeyfest - Lithopolis, Ohio
Honey tasting and sales, Mead Wine Garden (honey wine), honey cook-off, A Taste of Honey cookbook, honeymade food/concessions.  American Honey Queen, bee beards, beekeepers, juried arts/crafts, live Folk, R&B/Soul, & Big Band music, Busy Beehive kids' crafts booth.

September 10-11, 2011  Beavercreek Popcorn Festival - Beavercreek, Ohio
The festival has over 200 booths with festival foods, tantalizing treats, special services, creative crafts, and sensational specialties made with Popcorn. (Annually the weekend after Labor Day)

September 10-11, 2011  Cleveland Garlic Festival - Cleveland, Ohio
All proceeds will support North Union's mission of championing local foods by connecting certified producers with consumers through a network of markets. The Festival will be ground zero for "all things garlic" in the Midwest Great Lakes region. Enjoy garlic-themed food prepared by local chefs including everything from ice cream to oysters, an onsite celebrity chef Grill-Off, live music, cooking demonstrations, wine tastings, taste and grow tents for children and many more events and activities.

September 16-17, 2011  Jamestown Bean Festival - Jamestown, Ohio
All during the Festival the bean tent is open serving bean soup, Mexican beans, baked beans, burgers, chops, sausages and more. On Saturday morning the Fire Department has a really great pancake and sausage breakfast at the fire house.  Auction with lots of items donated by local businesses -Some really good stuff for some really good prices for some really good causes!  The money raised during the event goes back into the community and donations for many causes the Lions help with.

September 16-18, 2011  Oktoberfest - Cincinnati, Ohio
The largest Oktoberfest celebration in the country and the second largest in the world.  Attendance: 500,000.

September 16-18, 2011  13th Annual Ohio Pawpaw Festival - Albany, Ohio
A fun-filled and educational event celebrating one of America’s largest native tree fruits, the Pawpaw. Delectable foods, quality entertainment, and unique arts & crafts. Special events include competitions for the best pawpaw, best pawpaw-related work of art, pawpaw cook-off, and the ever-popular pawpaw-eating contest.  Presentations will cover pawpaw growing, cooking, and other related topics.

'Firehouse Clam Bake & Food Extravaganza' Live music! It”s so popular we need two days. Old Firehouse Winery, Geneva-on-the-Lake.

September 17-18, 2011  Preble County Pork Festival - Eaton, Ohio
Always 3rd full weekend in September. Entertainment, exhibits, food, parade and more!

September 17-18, 2011  Johnny Appleseed Festival - Lisbon, Ohio
Many local organizations provide old fashioned apple butter, apple ice cream, apple fritters & apple dumplings. There is an apple pie baking contest along with 35 food concessions, arts & crafts including yarn spinning, goat milk soap, chain saw wood crafts, dunk tank, games, dancing, music and theatre.

September 19, 2011  Buckeye Bar Expo - Columbus, Ohio
Ohio Licensed Beverage Association (OLBA) annual trade show. The premier trade show in the Midwest.

September 20-24, 2011  Jackson County Apple Festival - Jackson, Ohio
One of Ohio's oldest and largest fall festivals--includes parades, music, apple peeling and pie baking contests, craft, quilt, and car shows and apple butter making on the midway.

Sept 21-24, 2011  35th Annual Apple Butter Making - Sauder Village, Archbold, Ohio
Watch as we boil the cider down, add the thinly sliced apples and then cook the homemade apple butter in copper kettles over an open fire. There will be cider pressing and other apple-themed activities as well as homemade apple dumplings, pies and other treats to enjoy!

September 21-25, 2011  Barnesville Pumpkin Festival - Barnesville, Ohio
Held each year in the town square, the festival features a parade, music, pumpkin pie baking contest, pumpkin roll, harvest inpired arts & crafts, car show, pet show, pageant, 5K run, pumpkin weigh-off and a large display of pumpkins and produce.

September 22-25, 2011  Barnesville Pumpkin Festival - Barnesville, Ohio
A family oriented street festival, always the last full weekend of September. Free entertainment, agricultural displays, giant parade, car show, crafts, rides, games, concessions, 5k Run & Walk.

September 23, 2011  Columbus Food & Wine Affair Grand Tasting - Columbus, Ohio
THE Midwest event for the very best in extraordinary wine and cuisine. Guests have their choice of delectable offerings from Central Ohio's premier restaurants and pourings from the finest domestic and international wineries. The Grand Tasting is grand in every sense of the word and includes wonderful music and a variety of creative artists and retailers. The evening's admission includes wine tastes, delicious food and a souvenir crystal wine glass.

September 24, 2011  Country Applefest! - Lebanon, Ohio
The streets of historic downtown Lebanon will be filled with homemade crafts, great food and entertainment. Enter the apple bake off contest.

September 24-25, 2011  Ohio Gourd Show - Greenville, Ohio
Food, gourds, gourd art and gourd music, gourd hat contests, etc.

September 24-25, 2011  Geneva Grape Jamboree - Geneva, Ohio
Celebrates the harvesting of the local grapes. Taste freshly squeezed grape juice, wine, and various other grape products. All grand-stand entertainment, including the grape stomping contest, is free. Miss Grapette is featured in the two giant parades each afternoon. Rides, crafts, food, and other concessions pack the downtown streets during this grape filled weekend.

September 24-25, 2011  Germantown Pretzel Festival - Germantown, Ohio
Fall festival held on the fourth full weekend in September, since 1980, featuring handcrafts, good food, and free entertainment with live music & shows, baked goods & pretzels!

September 26, 2011  Flavors of Northeast Ohio - Cleveland, Ohio
Northeast Ohio's finest culinary experts as they create a visionary menu just for you, above and beyond restaurant fare! Benefitting the American Liver Foundation.

September 30-Oct 1, 2011  58th Annual Ohio Swiss Festival - Sugarcreek, Ohio
Held in Sugarcreek, the Little Switzerland of Ohio, with parades, queen pageant, musical entertainment, rides, 5K Swiss Cheese Chase, cheese auction, cheesemaking contest, Steintossen stone throwing, yodeling Swiss cheese eating and Swiss costume contests. Sample award-winning wine and cheese from our local artisans throughout the festival.
