April 9, 2016  Anacortes Spring Wine Festival - Anacortes, Washington
A Taste for Every Palate.  Anacortes Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their 7th Annual Spring Wine Festival overlooking the beautiful Guemes Channel.  Admittance is $40 advance and $45 at the door (must be 21+). Seattle, Washington
A Healthy Vegetarian Food Festival. Taste free food samples, over 500 different kinds to try; See cooking demonstrations by chefs from all over the country; Hear the latest information on nutrition from our medical doctors; Receive free health checks, including cholesterol, blood pressure, and glucose tests and even artery scans. April 10, 2016  Cochon555 - Seattle, Washington
Cochon555, the signature culinary competition featuring five chefs cooking five heritage breed pigs in a friendly competition for a cause.  The tour is dedicated to helping Piggy Bank create the first open-source agriculture platform for heritage species while raising global awareness for socially responsible farming. The event unites consumers with local farmers, renowned chefs, prominent winemakers, restaurateurs, craft brewers and distillers in each city for a nose-to-tail culinary showdown celebrating family farms.  At each event, 500 guests including notable judges will vote for the best bite amongst 2,000 pounds of awesomeness and the winning chef will be announced the “Princess or Prince of Porc”. On June 18th, the ten regional winners of Cochon555 fly to Aspen/Snowmass to compete at Grand Cochon, a spotlight of 10 chefs, 10 pigs and the best 30 bites from tour. The winner of the grand finale walks away with the crown and title of “2016 King or Queen of Porc”.

The first Earth Day on April 22, 1970, activated 20 million Americans from all walks of life and is widely credited with launching the modern environmental movement. Growing out of the first Earth Day, Earth Day Network (EDN) works with over 22,000 partners in 192 countries to broaden, diversify.

April 28-May 8, 2016  Apple Blossom Festival - Wenatchee, Washington
At 95 years, the oldest Festival in Washington State. Events include the Apple Blossom Run, parades, art and crafts, apple pie eating contest, carnival, apple pie & dessert bake-off and more.  Attendance: 100,000.

May 7, 2016  Annual Oyster Feed - Ocosta, Washington
Held every year the first Saturday in May at Recreation Hall. All the oysters you can eat.  Steamed Oysters, Fried Oysters, Clam Chowder, Spaghetti, Noodle Salad, Ambrosia, Cole Slaw, Garlic Bread.

May 7, 2016  Bacon and Beer Classic - Seattle, Washington
Safeco Field, Home of the Seattle Mariners  The Bacon and Beer Classic Is a one-of-a-kind event hosted inside major league baseball stadiums across America. It is a premier experience focused on traditions where one’s nostalgia of baseball meets their love for bacon and beer. As the up to 10,000 attendees walk through the stadium they will get a taste of history through the hundreds of craft brew samples and mouth-watering bacon-inspired tastes local restaurants cook up. Live music will get people dancing, interactive games will bring out their inner kid, and the cooking demos and beer schools will teach everyone – from the expert to the novice – a thing or two about bacon and beer.  Our events are always ALL INCLUSIVE.  From the moment you walk into the park, it's all about the experience, and not about opening up your wallet.

May 21, 2016  18th Annual Bastyr University Herb and Food Fair
Kenmore, Washington
The annual community event brings several thousand visitors to the 51-acre campus near the shores of Lake Washington. There will be a variety of educational speakers and workshops, cooking demonstrations, celebrity chefs, live entertainment, homemade food, vendors, garden tours, children's activities and workshops.

May 27-29, 2016  Mule Mania - Dayton, Washington
Events include a chuck wagon cook-off and feed by the NW Branch of the Chuck Wagon Assn., mule & donkey show and competition, beer & wine garden, collectible show, and parade.

May 28-29, 2016  Hood Canal ShrimpFest - Brinnon, Washington
A weekend festival located in the heart of Brinnon celebrating Hood Canal Spot Shrimp and other local seafood. It lures hungry shrimpers from all over the Northwest to fish Hood Canal’s rich waters. We feature craft booths, food booths, belt sander races, exhibits, live music, kids activities and so much more.
