Baristas and coffee professionals throughout the country have defined their role as at the frontlines of the specialty coffee industry and have used friendly competition to push each other forward in the areas of skill and service. The United States Coffee Championships (USCC ), have has raised the bar for not just what we expect from ourselves, but also for what we strive to deliver to our customers.  The United States Coffee Championships take place in the Activities Hall at The SCAA Event and feature the US Barista Championship, US Brewers Cup Championship, US Latte Art Championship (NEW this year!), US Cup Tasters Championship and the Roasters Guild Roasters Choice competition. Now is the best time in history to witness the skills that help define the specialty coffee industry on display and being pushed to greater and greater heights!

April 24-May 4, 2014  Apple Blossom Festival - Wenatchee, Washington
At 94 years, the oldest Festival in Washington State. Events include the Apple Blossom Run, parades, art and crafts, apple pie eating contest, carnival, apple pie & dessert bake-off and more. Attendance: 100,000.

 

May 2-11, 2014  119th Sequim Irrigation Festival  - Sequim, Washington
Our festival celebrates the initiation, development and support of the irrigation ditches that brought water to the once dry prairies of Sequim. Includes parade, carnival, pageant, juried art show, logging show, strongman competition and more.

May 3, 2014  Annual Oyster Feed - Ocosta, Washington
Held every year the first Saturday in May at Recreation Hall. All the oysters you can eat.  Steamed Oysters, Fried Oysters, Clam Chowder, Spaghetti, Noodle Salad, Ambrosia, Cole Slaw, Garlic Bread.

May 17, 2014  Bacon and Beer Classic - Seattle, Washington
Safeco Field, Home of the Seattle Mariners  The Bacon and Beer Classic Is a one-of-a-kind event hosted inside major league baseball stadiums across America. A weekend festival located in the heart of Brinnon celebrating Hood Canal Spot Shrimp and other local seafood. It lures hungry shrimpers from all over the Northwest to fish Hood Canal’s rich waters. We feature craft booths, food booths, belt sander races, exhibits, live music, kids activities and so much more.

May 31, 2014  16th Annual Bastyr University Herb and Food Fair
 Kenmore, Washington
The annual community event brings several thousand visitors to the 51-acre campus near the shores of Lake Washington. There will be a variety of educational speakers and workshops, cooking demonstrations, celebrity chefs, live entertainment, homemade food, vendors, garden tours, children's activities and workshops.
