October 4-7, 2017 - New Holland Farmers Fair
New Holland, Pennsylvania
Every year the streets of New Holland close to traffic and the center of town transforms into a celebration of farm and community. The crisp autumn air is sweetened with funnel cake, hot cinnamon rolls, and cotton candy. Laughter rings out and dazzling lights shine on the midway filled with thrilling rides and games of chance. Livestock events: Sheep, Swine, Goat, and Rabbit Shows; Parades; Long John Eating Contest; Safe Tractor Driving Contest.
October 6-7, 2017 60th Annual Springs Folk Festival
A celebration of the arts, skills and labors of our forefathers. Watch the women baking bread and weaving, the men hewing logs and threshing grain and the children enjoying themselves on an old-time hayride.
October 6-8, 2017 35th Annual Applefest Celebration
The small town of Franklin welcomes more than 100,000 visitors to Applefest each year. The festival features more than 300 arts & crafts vendors, amazing food, live entertainment and more. Popular returning events include the Apple Pancake Breakfast, 5K Race for Any Pace, and the Antique & Class Car Cruise that brings in more than 500 cars. The festival was named to the list of Top 100 Events of 2012 by the American Bus Association. Attendance: 100,000.
October 6-29, 2017 THE GLOW: A Jack O' Lantern Experience
The city of brotherly love will be GLOWING this fall, right in the heart of historic West Fairmount Park. Jack monitors the trail traffic carefully so he only allows a certain amount of guests to enter at one time. There are a limited number of tickets for each slot and advanced tickets are required. October 7, 2017 12th Annual Harvest Festival
Visit Historic Downtown Bethlehem on Saturday, from 11am-8pm for the Harvest Festival! Enjoy food and craft vendors, live music, the Biergarten, and soup, wine, and beer tastings trails. Our Harvest Festival Family Fun area makes this a fun event for the whole family!!

Wine and cheese tasting, continuous entertainment, juried crafts, fine arts, photography, apple butter making and much more.
October 7-8 & 14-15, 2017 National Apple Harvest Festival
The National Apple Harvest Festival, which is held during the first two weekends in October, has been celebrating beautiful crafts, great music and wonderful food for over forty years. The festival has something for everyone with hundreds of arts and crafts dealers, demonstrations, contests, food stands, and entertainment. At the South Mountain Fairgrounds and is held outdoors rain or shine! Attendance: 100,000.
October 8, 2017 15th Annual West Chester Chili Cookoff
West Chester, Pennsylvania
Hosted by the West Chester Rotary Club, the event is always held the second Sunday in October. Proceeds benefit many local charities.
October 13-14, 2017 James Beard Foundation's Taste America
James Beard Foundation’s Taste America national epicurean tour, featuring one-night-only collaborative dinners. Enjoy a unique, one-night only menu created by a Taste America All-Star joined by an elite team of notable local chefs. October 14, 2017 Tunkhannock Rotary Harvest and Wine Festival
The Festival is held in Tunkhannock's Lazybrook Park featuring mature trees and a beautiful flowing creek. The perfect fall setting in, Pennsylvania's Endless Mountian Region for enjoying excellent food and wine, while admiring the 50 wonderful craft and food vendors. Plus 13 wineries to choose from. Over 3,500 attendies last year.
October 13-15, 2017 TASTE Philadelphia Festival of Food, Wine and Spirits - Valley Forge, Pennsylvania
TASTE is what it is all about this fall at the TASTE Philadelphia Festival of Food, Wine and Spirits, presented by Gourmet Shows and being held at the Valley Forge Casino Resort. This year’s Festival showcases the finest in wine, spirits and gourmet foods, along with the talents of local and celebrity chefs.
October 14-15, 2017 Shade Mountain Harvest Festival
October is upon us and Autumn has us in its embrace, tickling all of our senses: The visual beauty of the ever-changing color of the trees; the sounds of leaves rustling at our feet and dancing in the wind; the smell of wood burning in fireplaces and the crisp scent of the outdoors; the simple joy of tossing leaves into the air, and the warm, soothing tastes of a hearty soup, bowl of chili or a nice glass of red wine to warm your soul and relax your mind. The Shade Mountain Winery Harvest Festival combines all of our senses and celebrates everything wonderful about this time of year.
October 16-21, 2017 102nd Annual Dillsburg Farmer’s Fair
Where we celebrate the rural heritage that is still alive and strong in our area. We will kick off this year’s fair with the traditional Queen contest. Tuesday evening the fair continues with opening remakrs and the crowning of the Senior King and Queen at the Community hall at 5:00 PM. The fair continues through the week with a full schedule of events, contests, and Games. And don’t forget some of the best food you’ll have all year!
October 21, 2017 5th Annual Pour the Core: Hard Cider Festival
The Annual Pour the Core: Hard Cider Festival will be returning to Philadelphia-this year with even more cider and what will surely be a contest to remember! The festival will be held from 12:30pm to 4:00pm on the Marine Parade Grounds located at The Navy Yard at 4747 South Broad Street, Philadelphia. Attendees will enjoy refreshing and delicious samples from local, national and international cider producers, more than 75 ciders in all! Pour the Core will proudly showcase locally made ciders from some of Pennsylvania’s most talked-about producers, including Jack’s Hard Cider (Biglerville), Kurant Cider (Perkasie), Hardball Cider (Mount Bethel), and festival first-timer Power Core Hard Cider (Coudersport), among them. The event is sure to impress both cider lovers and fun seekers alike. The event will offer a unique line-up of ciders to sample, food available to purchase from some of Philly’s most popular food trucks, and a variety of sponsored activities and live music. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
October 27, 2017 Pittsburgh Whiskey and Fine Spirits Festival
More than 300 varieties of whiskey, scotch, vodka, gin, rum, tequila and cordials from all over the world will be on hand for your sampling pleasure. Unless your liver is the size Robert Goulet’s ego, you’re going to want to pick and choose carefully the spirits that you absolutely must try before heading downstairs to the casino or pulling the ripcord on your evening.
October 28, 2017 Pottstown Brew Fest - Pottstown, Pennsylvania
The 3rd Annual Pottstown Brew Fest will feature 100+ craft beers and ciders from 50 craft breweries to sample from! In addition to great beer, the festival offers live music, unique craft and food vendors and a variety of outdoor games.
