October 5-7, 2018 Ozark Fall FarmFest - Springfield, Missouri
One of the largest agricultural trade shows in the Midwest, the annual Farmfest offers over 750 booths of products and services for the farm and ranch as well as more than 500 head of purebred livestock on display.
October 6, 2018 - Annual Augusta Bottoms Beer Festival
The festival seeks to promote Microbreweries by creating a great afternoon of beer tasting, live music and food.
October 6, 2018 Annual Missouri Chestnut Roast
New Franklin, Missouri
Thousands of festival visitors each year enjoy samples of roasted chestnuts. Hosted by the MU Horticulture & Agroforestry Research Center, the event is an opportunity to introduce landowners to the benefits of implementing agroforestry practices on their land. There are cooking demonstrations, musical entertainment and chestnut products available to buy.

Activities include weigh-in and awards for produce, pet parade, kids' tractor pull, pumpkin' chuckin', and musical entertainment.

Lake Ozark, Missouri
The Fall Classic gives anglers the chance to enjoy fantastic fall fishing at the Lake of the Ozarks. Weigh-in sites at: Alhonna Resort; Red Oak Resort; Public Beach No. 2; and Red Fox. More than $250,000 in cash prizes are given Sunday at Public Beach No. 2.

The Grape Carnival, as it was first known, had a renaissance in 1998 as the Grape & Fall Festival. The event originated to celebrate the annual grape harvest and features food, crafters—and the highlight of the Festival—the Grape Stomping Contest.
October 13, 2018 31st Annual Wine & Food Celebration
The Wine & Food Celebration returns to the White River Conference Center this year from 2 to 5 pm. Over the past 30 years, this event has expanded to now include hundreds of wines, delicious food from Springfield’s finest restaurants, craft beer and specialty cocktails. Attending the Wine & Food Celebration is a great way to have a memorable, fun-filled, delicious day and support Ozarks Public Television at the same time! All proceeds benefit educational children’s programming.
October 13-14, 2018 - Hartsburg Pumpkin Festival - Hartsburg, Missouri
The Hartsburg Pumpkin Festival began in 1991 as a celebration of the pumpkin and the promotion for the village of Hartsburg. In those days, and to the present, Hartsburg was known as “The Garden Spot of Boone County.” That rich Missouri River bottom soil produces unique and bountiful harvests of grains, grasses, fruits, and vegetables.

October 20, 2018 - Ozarks Bacon Fest - Springfield, Missouri
A Salute to Bacon, Bourbon & Beer. A bacon-infused wonderland where the Ozark’s best chefs prepare amazing creative bacon snacks. National brands, artisan bacon-makers, and bacon purveyors display, sample, and sell a multitude of bacon and bacon inspired products. The best mixologists and brewers hand out bacon-inspired cocktails, beer and wine. And in honoring bacon in all its glory, Ozarks Bacon Fest will be holding a Bacon Eating Contest, a Best Bacon Recipe contest and a Bacon Art contest. (also: www.ozarkempirefair.com/ )
October 27-28, 2018 Kimmswick Apple Butter Festival
Come enjoy the small town ambience and stroll through our streets lined with 500 to 600 food, drink and craft vendors. Visitors are encouraged to help members of the Historical Society stir the apple butter cooking over a woodburning fire. Apple butter is for sale each day. Also enjoy lots of live entertainment throughout the town. Attendance: 100,000.
