October 1, 2016  14th Annual Augusta Bottoms Beer Festival
Augusta, Missouri
The festival seeks to promote Microbreweries by creating a great afternoon of beer tasting, live music and food.

October 1, 2016  25th Annual Republic Pumpkin Daze
Republic, Missouri
Activities include weigh-in and awards for produce, pet parade, kids' tractor pull, pumpkin' chuckin', and musical entertainment.

October 1-2, 2016 - Big Bass Bash Tournament Fall Classic
Lake Ozark, Missouri
The Fall Classic gives anglers the chance to enjoy fantastic fall fishing at the Lake of the Ozarks.  Weigh-in sites at: Alhonna Resort; Red Oak Resort; Public Beach No. 2; and Red Fox.  More than $215,000 in cash prizes are given Sunday at Public Beach No. 2.

October 7-9, 2016  Ozark Fall FarmFest - Springfield, Missouri
One of the largest agricultural trade shows in the Midwest, the annual Farmfest offers over 750 booths of products and services for the farm and ranch as well as more than 500 head of purebred livestock on display.

October 8, 2016  Grape & Fall Festival - Hollister, Missouri
The Grape Carnival, as it was first known, had a renaissance in 1998 as the Grape & Fall Festival. The event originated to celebrate the annual grape harvest and features food, crafters—and the highlight of the Festival—the Grape Stomping Contest.

October 8, 2016  Taste of SoMo & Oktoberfest Village
Springfield, Missouri
Springfield's premier culinary event features local restaurants, beer sampling, booths for specialty vendors and local music. This event is in the heart of Springfield’s entertainment district with more than 40 restaurants and 20 nightclubs within walking distance.

October 8-9, 2016  Hartsburg Pumpkin Festival - Hartsburg, Missouri
The Hartsburg Pumpkin Festival began in 1991 as a celebration of the pumpkin and the promotion for the village of Hartsburg. In those days, and to the present, Hartsburg was known as “The Garden Spot of Boone County.” That rich Missouri River bottom soil produces unique and bountiful harvests of grains, grasses, fruits, and vegetables.

October 22, 2016  29th Annual Wine & Food Celebration
Springfield, Missouri
Over the years, this event has expanded to now include hundreds of wines, delicious food from Springfield’s finest restaurants, craft beer and specialty cocktails.  Attending the Wine & Food Celebration is a great way to have a memorable, fun-filled, delicious day and support Ozarks Public Television at the same time!  All proceeds benefit educational children’s programming.

October 26-30, 2016  American Royal World Series of Barbecue
Kansas City, Missouri
The American Royal Barbecue is the opening event of the American Royal and the season finale for the competitive circuit. Presented by Smithfield and held at the Kansas Speedway, The Royal is the largest barbecue contest in the world. Combine this with a barbecue-related trade expo, this four-day food festival is truly the “World Series of Barbecue.”

Ozarks Bacon Fest
Springfield, Missouri
A bacon-infused wonderland where the Ozark’s best chefs prepare amazing creative bacon snacks. National brands, artisan bacon-makers, and bacon purveyors display, sample, and sell a multitude of bacon and bacon inspired products. The best mixologists and brewers hand out bacon-inspired cocktails, beer and wine. And in honoring bacon in all its glory, Ozarks Bacon Fest will be holding a Bacon Eating Contest, a Best Bacon Recipe contest and a Bacon Art contest. (also: www.ozarkempirefair.com/ )

October 29-30, 2016  Kimmswick Apple Butter Festival
Kimmswick, Missouri
Come enjoy the small town ambience and stroll through our streets lined with 500 to 600 food, drink and craft vendors. Visitors are encouraged to help members of the Historical Society stir the apple butter cooking over a woodburning fire. Apple butter is for sale each day. Also enjoy lots of live entertainment throughout the town.  Attendance: 100,000.

October 8, 2014  American Royal WINE Competition
Kansas City, Missouri
(Grapes and Steaks Competition)  Wine producers from across the country are invited to submit their best vintages for blind judging in 10 different categories.  The winners in each category are then judged and the American Royal Grand Champion Red and White Wines are crowned.  Categories include sauvignon blanc, chardonnay, white blend, other white varietals, merlot, zinfandel, pinot noir, red blend, cabernet sauvignon and other red varietals.  The judging is held during the month of August at a local winery. Judges are chosen based on their expertise and experience, and come from a cross section of the wine and food industries.

 

October 25, 2014  5th Annual Missouri Wine & Food Festival
Branson, Missouri
CANCELED FOR 2014.  The City of Branson informed us that they will no longer allow us to use Vinyl banners to advertise our festival.  This being our most effective method for intercepting visitors, at this point we must cancel "Branson's Largest Annual Food Event" for 2014.  Thank you all for supporting our Festival.

October 3-6, 2013  American Royal World Series of Barbecue
Kansas City, Missouri
The American Royal Barbecue is the opening event of the American Royal and the season finale for the competitive circuit. Spreading over 20 acres in Kansas City’s historic Stockyards District, and with nearly 500 teams competing in four culinary contests, The Royal is the largest barbecue contest in the world. Combine this with a barbecue-related trade expo, this four-day food festival is truly the “World Series of Barbecue.”

October 26, 2013  4th Annual Missouri Wine & Food Festival
Branson, Missouri

October 26, 2013  Persimmon Festival - Sparta, Missouri
This year's attractions returns with the usual crafts, foods, games, vendors, and more.  It begins at 8AM sharp with the 3rd annual 5K Race For Jobs.  Then at 11AM kids and families can strut their stuff on main street in this year's costume parade.  Finally the Persimmon Court Contest makes it's return, awarding cash prizes to the winners..choose your favorite for a dollar a vote.

October 13-14, 2012  4th Annual Hannibal Uncorked Fine Wine Pub Crawl
Hannibal, Missouri
Featuring local, regional and other great wines for your sampling in several Hannibal venues. Community 2nd Saturday Art Walk 5-8p.m. Music in several wine pubs from 8-11p.m. Tickets $25 each, includes wine tasting coupons, a commemorative sweatshirt and wine glass, snacks at every stop. Saturday crawl will begin at 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. Sunday crawl will begin at noon -3p.m.

October 8, 2011  9th Annual Missouri Chestnut Roast
New Franklin, Missouri
Thousands of festival visitors each year enjoy samples of roasted chestnuts. Hosted by the MU Horticulture & Agroforestry Research Center, the event is an opportunity to introduce landowners to the benefits of implementing agroforestry practices on their land. There are cooking demonstrations, musical entertainment and chestnut products available to buy.

October 15, 2011  Springfield Oyster Festival - Springfield, Missouri
Oysters served by local restaurants.  There is also a Full Bar & Grill serving Oyster Shooters, beer, and other food and drinks. Live entertainment. There are more than 60 vendors of shopping.  Children's activities, including a bounce house, facepainting, cartoon characters, sand castle building, hula hooping and much more.  A Breast Cancer Benefit.

October 22-23, 2011  Missouri Waterfowl Festival - Kennett, Missouri
The Missouri Waterfowl Festival will NOT be held in 2012.
