Clearwater Beach, Florida
Clearwater Beach Restaurant Week, an event promoted by the Clearwater Beach Chamber of Commerce, is celebrating its 8th year. The 2 week-long culinary celebration offers ‘foodies’ an opportunity to experience top-notch dining or casual cuisine, at all your favorite hot spots. Don’t hesitate to try something new! The annual event is a great benefit for both diners and the restaurant community. An incredible array of different cuisines is a cornerstone of the beach vibrancy.  During Restaurant Week, each participating restaurant will offer a delicious prix fixe menu priced from $15 to $35. Some restaurants offer a prix fixe menu for lunch at prices of $10 to $15. Restaurants will be competing for the “Best in Class” in a variety of categories. Diners will have an opportunity to vote on their experience at each restaurant. Each vote will be entered into a drawing for great prizes.

Miramar Beach, Florida
From 7 - 10 pm, featuring a four-course meal, champagne pairings and live entertainment. The SOLARIS chefs are featuring an elaborate four-course menu, each paired with premium champagnes from around the world and live music. The culinary voyage includes Cucumber Watermelon Gazpacho with Champagne-Poached Shrimp, Belgian Endive Salad, Braised Pork Belly, Pan-Seared Chilean Sea Bass and Peach Brûlée . The cost is $80 per person including a 4 course meal, 4 champagne pairings, live music and a 3 hour cruise. The SOLARIS yacht is docked at the Baytowne Marina at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.

Orlando, Florida
IFDA (International Foodservice Distributors Association) Truck Driving Championship.  This is the only national-level competition held for the food distribution industry. Drivers representing foodservice distributors, foodservice manufacturers with private fleets, retail/wholesale distributors, self-distributing retail supermarket companies, and other types of food companies across North America gather to compete each year.  Reward your best drivers and take your company's safety program to the next level by participating in this premier food industry championship.

Local restaurants will again compete to for bragging rights as a Taste of the Beach winner in the categories of entree, Appetizer and desert.  Admission is free and food and beverages can be purchased throughout the day.  Proceeds from this year's event will again go to the Betty Griffin House, a shelter for victims of domestic abuse.

September 15-Oct 15, 2017 - WineDine Key West - Key West, Florida
Cuisine connoisseurs can enjoy multicourse prix fixe meals at as many as 30 Key West restaurants during WineDine KeyWest, billed as the island's first restaurant month.  The culinary celebration was "cooked up" by the team behind the popular annual Key West Food & Wine Festival to promote fine dining and showcase the flavors of Key West.  During WineDine KeyWest, Certonio said 30 participating restaurants are to offer three-course meals priced at approximately $20 per person for lunch and $35 per person for dinner.  Restaurants include casual waterfront spots, trendy bistros, eateries specializing in fresh Florida Keys seafood and award-winning gourmet emporiums.  Diners can register free at the website which details the featured restaurants and their menus, as well as other local businesses from spas to lodging properties and boutiques with enticing offers for event participants. An additional website section introduces diners to the Florida Keys chefs behind the selected restaurants' fare.

September 5, 2016 - South Florida Auto Food Fest - Miami, Florida
Food Truck Exhibition – place where food truck enthusiast gather to sample products from some of the best food trucks, meet celebrity chefs & enjoy live entertainment.  The South Florida Auto Food Fest “Food Truck Food Contest” is a food contest where specially selected chefs and the public chooses the best food truck in 10 separate categories. The categories include Best Appetizer, Sandwich, Soup, Salad, Entrée, Side Dish, Desert, Drink, Overall, & People’s Choice. Food Trucks / Vendors are not required to participate in the Food Truck Food Contest.

September 13, 2014  Jackfruit Festival - Coral Gables, Florida
Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden will once again celebrate one of the most intriguing of tropical fruits, the jackfruit. Participants will learn about its enticing taste and curious fragrance, how to grow it, and what varieties most suit differing tastes.  We will have recognized speakers presenting information on planting and pruning, pollination and the variety of cultivars available in South Florida. Tree sales and cultivar tasting follows the presentations.  Tropical Fruit Program volunteers clean and evaluate jackfruit during the jackfruit season. Flesh from each cultivar is carefully labeled and frozen for sampling. Following the ‘Just Jackfruit' lectures participants will taste fruit from a wide range of flavors.  (Jackfruit Facts & Photos)
