March 1-3, 2013 Lions 32nd Seafood & Music Festival 2013 - St. Augustine, Florida Eat, Shop and Tap your toes at the St. Augustine Lions Seafood Festival. The Festival features great Seafood, Arts & Crafts, Live Music and the Kids Zone. Eat loads of seafood before shopping with more than 100 artists and crafters while enjoying the music. You might go home the winner of groceries, cash and other prizes. These are just a few of the highlights of the 32nd St. Augustine Lions Seafood Festival. This event, drawing over 20,000 people is a favorite throughout northeast Florida. It is fun for all ages while helping out a worthy cause. Attendance: 20,000.
March 2, 2013 32nd Annual SGI Regional Chili Cook-Off & Auction - St. George Island, FL Sanctioned by the International Chili Society, over sixty contestants square off at the Gulf Coast Regional Chili Cook-off on St. George Island. The winner of what is the largest regional chili cook-off in the nation advances to the world championship and all proceeds benefit the Island Volunteer Fire Department and First Responder Unit. Activities include a golf tournament, 5K Red Pepper Run, Chili Cook-off, Auction and the naming of Miss Chili Pepper and Mr. Hot Sauce. Attendance: 5,000.
March 2-3, 2013 47th Annual Grant Seafood Festival - Grant, Florida Free admission, free parking, over 100 crafters exhibiting, live continuous entertainment, along with a scrumptious menu of succulent seafood makes this a weekend no one wants to miss. What sets this seafood festival apart from others is that it runs through a 100% volunteer effort! All preparation , whether it be on the grounds or with the purchasing, cooking or serving of the various menu items is accomplished by volunteers of the community. We do not have any food vendors on site. All booths are run with volunteers: many booths are made up of family members, often times having several generations working along side one another. It is this complete volunteer effort that makes our festival unique. The total commitment of our community and all our volunteers makes the Grant Seafood Festival a time honored tradition unlike any other. We are proud of our community and our festival is a testament to that fact.
