March 1, 2014 St. George Island Charity Chill Cook-off
St. George Island, Florida
The St George Island Regional Chili Cook off will take place Saturday, March 1. Friday, the Auction art Preview is in the eventing from 5-7 at the island's firehouse (324 E. Pine Ave.). Saturday includes the 5K Red Peper Run at 8:00 a.m, Crock Pot Judging 10-11:00 a.m, the Auction begins at 11:00, booth showmanship judging is at 11:30-12:15pm Miss Chili Pepper and Miss Hot Sauce judging at 12:15pm, taste awards 3:30pm. There is a $5 entry fee. Proceeds benefit the St. George Island Volunteer Fire Department and First Response. Attendance: 5,000.
March 1, 2014 3rd Annual ConchFest 2014 - Key West, Florida
A Celebration of Conch Heritage. There will be a host of activities to attract folks from all walks of life to this wonderful community celebration of our Conch Heritage. All are invited; Conchs, Freshwater Conchs, Non-Conchs, and Conch wanna-be’s. There will be lots of great food for sale including conch fritters, conch salad, pork, and other more traditional fare. There will be children’s activities; music and much more.

March 1-2, 2014 48th Annual Grant Seafood Festival - Grant, Florida
Free admission, free parking, over 100 crafters exhibiting, live continuous entertainment, along with a scrumptious menu of succulent seafood makes this a weekend no one wants to miss. What sets this seafood festival apart from others is that it runs through a 100% volunteer effort! All preparation , whether it be on the grounds or with the purchasing, cooking or serving of the various menu items is accomplished by volunteers of the community. We do not have any food vendors on site. All booths are run with volunteers: many booths are made up of family members, often times having several generations working along side one another. It is this complete volunteer effort that makes our festival unique. The total commitment of our community and all our volunteers makes the Grant Seafood Festival a time honored tradition unlike any other. We are proud of our community and our festival is a testament to that fact.

The 27th Annual Floral City Strawberry Festival. There will be plenty of activities for all ages including craft vendors, live entertainment, the Miss Strawberry Pageant, children's activities, and boatloads of fresh strawberries straight from the award-winning Ferris Farms. Don't forget the mouth-watering strawberry shortcake - eater-tainment at it's very best! Come early and enjoy the day!

Nosh [taste] traditional Jewish style foods such as corned beef and pastrami, lox and bagels, falafel and Israeli salads, matzo ball soup, potato pancakes (latkes), noodle kugel, and more, plus snacks and treats from local food vendors. Entertainment options included a cooking competition, cooking demonstration, musical performers and plenty of children’s activities.

Flavors 2014, a Culinary Event hosted by the Junior League of Boca Raton. This year’s event will be held from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at The Sonoma House.
