Alachua County Youth Fair and Livestock Show
Gainesville, Florida
The fair is an educational platform for the youth in Alachua County who are interested in agriculture.  The event is free, and is held at the Alachua County Fairgrounds located at 3100 NE 39th Avenue, Gainesville.  Alachua County 4-H and FFA youth ranging in age from 8-18 can participate.

March 2-12, 2023  Florida Strawberry Festival - Plant City, Florida
Exhibits of agriculture, commerce, industry, livestock, fine arts, horticulture, and crafts await you. Ethnic traditions, social events, competitive contests, youth developmental programs, top-name entertainment, parades.  Attendance: 500,000.

March 2-12, 2023  110th Central Florida Fair - Orlando, Florida
Founded in 1910 by a group of community leaders who sought an outlet to celebrate the agricultural industry in Orlando and its surrounding counties. With an average annual attendance of 250,000, the Central Florida Fair successfully continues its mission to preserve and enhance the agricultural, cultural, educational, and historical legacy of Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Lake, Brevard, and Volusia Counties, known collectively as “Central Florida.” One of the top five largest fairs in the state.  Creative Arts; Food Arts & Sciences – a feast of baked goods, canned fruits, decorated cakes, and decorative touches for the home, plus dozens of daily chef demonstrations on a state-of-the-art kitchen stage; Horticulture – lush displays of flowers and foliage, plus information on gardening, water conservation, landscaping, and more; FFA – local middle and high school chapters present educational booths on landscaping, animal husbandry, veterinary care, and more; 4-H – this leadership-building organization presents a year’s worth of youth activities in informative booths and creative contests; Livestock – featuring over 2,000 cows, horses, sheep, hogs, goats, chickens, and rabbits; Entertainment – over 100 groups featuring 800 singers, dancers and musicians on three stages.  Attendance: 250,000.

March 3, 2023  26th Annual Wine, Spirits & Culinary Celebration
Fort Lauderdale, Florida
The Grand Tasting will take place from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. and highlight over 40 South Florida premier restaurants, an array of wine and spirits, assortment of craft beers and a silent auction. The Platinum experience includes early access to the Grand Tasting. All proceeds of the event benefit the Museum. March 4-5, 2023  56th Annual Grant Seafood Festival - Grant, Florida
Free admission, free parking, over 100 crafters exhibiting, live continuous entertainment, along with a scrumptious menu of succulent seafood makes this a weekend no one wants to miss. What sets this seafood festival apart from others is that it runs through a 100% volunteer effort! All preparation , whether it be on the grounds or with the purchasing, cooking or serving of the various menu items is accomplished by volunteers of the community. We do not have any food vendors on site. All booths are run with volunteers: many booths are made up of family members, often times having several generations working along side one another. It is this complete volunteer effort that makes our festival unique. The total commitment of our community and all our volunteers makes the Grant Seafood Festival a time honored tradition unlike any other. We are proud of our community and our festival is a testament to that fact.

Best and longest-standing seafood festival in the Florida Keys!  Over 200 vendors, fresh seafood caught and sold by local commercial keys fishermen; live music and rides/games for the kids!  A real family affair and treat in the Islands of Marathon in the Florida Keys.  Attendance: 20,000.

March 11-12, 2023  58th Annual Speckled Perch Festival and Parade
Okeechobee, Florida
The Speckled Perch Festival is the oldest celebration in Okeechobee, dating back to 1965.  At that time the festival honored the fishing industry with a parade and fish fry in the park during the height of the tourist season and the tradition continues today.  There will be local talent, food, arts and crafts and fun.  Our Speckled Perch Parade on Saturday at 11:00 am sets the stage for the remainder of the weekend. There is a $10.00 parade permit fee for this parade.  This festival has no admission; just fun!  This festival is in collaboration with the Cow Town PRCA rodeo.  Rodeo fans get ready to watch the roughest-and-toughest professional bull riders and bullfighters at Florida’s Cow Town Rodeo.

Marco Island, Florida - EVENT CANCELED DUE TO CORONAVIRUS.
In addition to a weekend of great music, all your favorite seafood specialties will be available fresh fish, grouper, crab cakes, stone crab, shrimp, crawdads, chowder and more. There is a huge assortment of traditional landlubber favorites, too. Beer and wine will be served to quench your thirst. Over 60 arts and crafts vendors will open Friday morning at 11:00 AM. A kid’s zone with bounce house, slide, rock climbing wall, trampoline and more to wear off some of that energy while you enjoy the music, the food and the friends.

EVENT CANCELED DUE TO CORONAVIRUS.  Garden Club of St. Augustine.  A weekend of food, fun and flowers offering gourmet dining, a food festival and a garden show.  This year’s show features a variety of vendors bringing a wide array of horticulture including olive trees, aquatic plants, herbs, ferns, succulents, citrus, African violets, anthuriums (the ‘love flower’), bamboo, colorful flowering plants, butterfly plants, native plants and more plus gardening accessories and art. Rockledge, Florida
Clayton’s Crab Company is hosting their 4th Annual Cajun Festival on March 12, 2016. There will be a live Cajun band performing (The Porch Dogs), a huge kids zone (The Home Depot kids workshop, Monster Trucks and so much more),  there will be over 60 arts and craft vendors, over 15 food vendors. There will also be Airboats on display, a car show, and a wood carving demo and so much more. This is a free event and free parking. The public will have a chance to taste the dishes and vote on their favorites.  Author Joanne Caras will help kick off the new competition, and share her experiences compiling The Holocaust Survivor Cookbook, which is filled with Survivors’ recipes and stories to pass down to future generations.  Free to all.
