The Extravaganza takes place during the spring and fall seasons. December 5, 2014 9th Annual Celebrate Brevard - Food and Wine Event
Palm Bay, Florida
Fire & Ice" is the theme for this years 9th annual Celebrate Brevard Food & Wine Tasting Extravaganza hosted each year by the Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce according to Cynthia Dale, marketing manager. From 5:30pm to 9:00pm at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Palm Bay, the event offers guests samplings of cuisines from around the world, wine tasting, music, and black, red and white décor. Guests may opt to dress in those colors for the evening if they wish. The annual fundraiser will include over 25 food, wine and merchant vendors. Event organizers are also planning raffles and door prizes, along with entertainment for the evening. Cooking demonstrations may also be available at the restaurant tables.

St. Augustine Distillery’s 2nd Annual Sugar Cane Harvest
St. Augustine, Florida
The event features local restaurants, farmers and artisans that source their produce and ingredients locally. It is an old fashioned cane boil and music fair, with fresh from the farm drinks and delicious meals. Attendees are invited to watch sugar cane milled in a Cast Iron Sugar mill built in 1883 and enjoy a traditional old fashioned cane boil. Other activities include tractor tours and games. Live Music. The event is $5 per person and all ages are welcome. Parking is $10 per car and we encourage you to carpool.

December 31, 2014 Flagler College New Year’s Eve Gala
St. Augustine, Florida
Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Historic Elegance at the former Hotel Ponce de Leon. Ring in the New Year at the former Hotel Ponce de Leon with an evening of historic elegance- dining and dancing the night away. Experience the magic of the Gilded Age amid an architectural wonder where presidents stayed and innovators played. The New Year’s Eve Gala takes place in Flagler College's Ponce de Leon Dining Hall, built in 1888 as part of the Gilded Age gem Hotel Ponce de Leon. The opulent setting is ringed with glass windows, golden chandeliers, wall sconces, all designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany. Muralist George W. Maynard adorned the dining hall ceiling and walls with beautiful murals to complement Tiffany's designs. Guests enter through the magnificent 80-foot-tall Rotunda, which is adorned with gold-leaf murals, hand-carved caryatids and intricate mosaic African tile. The event raises money for the Flagler College Scholarship Fund, which helps offset tuition costs for many students with financial need. 30% of the ticket price is tax deductible.
