January 27-29, 2012  The Sun Winefest '12 - Uncasville, Connecticut
Held at Mohegan Sun, this is the largest Wine & Food show in Connecticut. Also includes celebrity chef dine around, whiskey and bourbon tasting, oyster open and more. Benefits the American Diabetes Association.

March 10-11, 2012  22nd Hebron Maple Festival - Hebron, Connecticut
Each year thousands of people come from miles around to enjoy the weekend of maple related events. Self-tours, demonstrations and a variety of maple products at several local sugar houses. Dog sled exhibition, chain saw carvers, crafts, vendors and lots of good food!

Share Our Strength's Taste of the Nation is the nation's premier culinary benefit, featuring top chefs and mixologists -- all of whom are coming together to donate their time, talent and passion to end childhood hunger in America.

January 29-30, 2011  Winter Festival / Beaujolais Release - Litchfield, Connecticut
Our second release of our Estate Grown Beaujolais wine.   Its a French tradition, a mild, fruity red wine to get the population through the winter.  Come enjoy the Beaujolais festivities without having to go to France!.

February 26, 2011  9th Annual "Woofs, Wines & Felines" - Ridgefield, Connecticut
Wine tasting, gourmet food and raffle. All proceeds go to the Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue.

 

April 12, 2011  10th Annual Flavors of Connecticut - Plantsville, Connecticut
The most unique culinary event in the state. Over 30 of Connecticut's top chefs and restaurants come together to help raise funds for liver disease awareness and education. Chefs prepare a five course meal with wine pairings to be prepared and served tableside for guests. Your evening includes a cocktail wine reception, silent and live auction, live entertainment, dinner and more.

May 7, 2011  Annual New England Regional Chili Cookoff - Somers, Connecticut
Sanctioned by the International Chili Society. To benefit the Somers (CT) Fire Department and Patriot Guard Riders CT.  The event is but minutes from Hartford and Springfield.

May 28-30, 2011  Mystic Seaport Lobster Days - Mystic, Connecticut
Lobsters in the rough are served by the Rotary Club of Mystic. Lobster platters are served picnic-style under Mystic Seaport”s open-air Boat Shed where diners can watch boats cruising on the Mystic River and enjoy music of the sea.

July 10, 2011  Fungus Festival - Coventry, Connecticut
Held at the Nathan Hale Homestead.

July 16-17, 2011  14th Stonington Vineyards Wine & Food Festival - Stonington, Conn
Wine tasting offered continuously throughout the day. Samplings and sales of New England products including jams, mustards, chutneys, herbs, spices, olive oil, fresh-farm organic produce and locally produced cheese. Tours and live music.

July 30-31, 2011  Connecticut Wine Festival - Goshen, Connecticut
Taste the best of Connecticut's wineries on the last weekend of July at the Goshen Fairgrounds, Goshen, CT.  Sample locally produced specialty foods.  Enjoy live music. Browse for handicrafts. Purchase bottles/cases of wines directly from the CT wineries at the festival. And much more. Presented by the Connecticut Wine Trail.

August 1-14, 2011  Taste of Hartford - Hartford, Connecticut
Hartford's top restaurants will participate in Taste of Hartford's summertime promotion, offering 3-course gourmet dinners for only $23. Presented in partnership with the Greater Hartford Arts Council.

August 5-7, 2011  Potato and Corn Festival - North Branford, Connecticut
Enjoy three days of food, fun, and entertainment for the whole family at this free community festival, featuring fireworks, a tractor pull, games, rides, and more. Get baked and shucked with us again!

August 6, 2011  Taste of the Caribbean & Jerk Festival - Hartford, Connecticut
Bring the whole family to enjoy numerous musical and dance performances while you sample authentic and world famous Caribbean dishes.

August 6, 2011  Annual Green Corn Festival - Washington, Connecticut
For many years corn has been an integral part of the annual cycle of life for most Native American peoples. Celebrate the time of year when the first corn is ready to be eaten at our Sixth Annual Green Corn Festival! Join us for an afternoon of traditional Eastern Woodland style song and dance and a taste of traditional foods. Held at the Institute for American Indian Studies.

 

August 13, 2011  St. John's Summer Food Festival - Washington, Connecticut
Members of the church will be selling the church's own cookbokk, small potted plants, gardening gloves, peach chutney and more. There will also be gourmet foods, specialty brads, heirloom tomatoes, cocktail crackers, candy, gelato, jams and jellies, ice cream, quich, pastries, pies, croutons, marinara and bouillabase sauces and lunch food. Twenty percent of the sales will go to support St. John's Outreach Committee which benefits people in need and worthy projects throughout the area.

August 13-14, 2011  5th Annual Shoreline Wine Festival - Guilford, Connecticut
Celebrate over 10 Connecticut Wineries and sample the fruits of their labor. Enjoy food from local restaurants, crafts from local artisans, food and wine seminars offered by local experts, and the sounds of live music from bands around New England.

August 14, 2011  Old-Fashioned Corn Roast - Coventry, Connecticut
Celebrate high summer at the market by serving up roasted ears of corn with garlic or herb butter, or lime and chili pepper butter. Enjoy a full farmers’ market and live New England Fiddle music; 'Cook Fresh with a Chef' demonstration focusing on delicious preparation of fresh, local produce.

August 20, 2011  Peach Fest - Middlefield, Connecticut
Celebrate peach season at Lyman Orchards with a host of fun family activities. Enjoy fresh baked peach pies, live music, contests with prizes, and horse-drawn wagon rides.

August 20, 2011  37th Annual Milford Oyster Festival - Milford, Connecticut
Our festival has grown from a tiny local one-day celebration of the oyster and our wonderful seaside community into one of Connecticut’s summer highlights. You will find entertainment for children and music fans, harbor canoe and kayak races, over 200 arts and crafts vendors from around the country, a classic car show and tremendous food.

August 27, 2011  Orange Open Farms Day - Orange, Connecticut
The purpose of the event is to welcome the public to several of Orange's working farms, and allow their owners to showcase their fresh, local produce, beautiful animals and exciting farm activities. Each farm will have items for sale, and some will offer demonstrations or activities that will be of interest to adults and children alike.

September 9-11, 2011  Norwalk Seaport Assn Oyster Festival - East Norwalk, Conn
Tall ships, oyster pavillion with history & tastings, shucking & slurping contests, entertainment, solar Grand Prix, CT state BBQ championship and much more! Attendance: 50,000.

September 10-11, 2011  A Taste of Greater Danbury - Danbury, Connecticut
Come on down and have some food from some of the area's great restaurants. Enjoy the Saturday night concert.

September 10-11, 2011  Apple Festival - Monroe, Connecticut
Apples, crafters and more on the Monroe Green can only mean it’s the annual Apple Festival of St. Peter’s Episcopal church. We have 70 crafters from several states, homemade baked goods, children’s games, a snack bar, caramel apples, fresh apples and apple cider for sale.

September 17-18, 2011  4th Annual Raspberry Festival - Sherman, Connecticut
Last year's festival was a customer favorite at White Silo Farm & Winery. This year we're working hard to top it!

An annual celebration for the whole family, revolving around our most important event here at HB - Harvest.  Live music, Hay rides, shopping, grape stomping, kids activities, locally brewed beer (Cambridge Brew House), food and, of course...WINE. Wine tastings, wine by the glass, wine cellar & vineyard tours, etc.

September 28, 2011  Farm to Table Wine Dinner - Norfolk, Connecticut
Join us for Chef Dan's skilled pairing of local organic foods with wines from sustainable vineyards.

September 30, 2011  Silver City Brewfest - Meriden, Connecticut
More than 25 international and microbrewed beers and 25 wines. A soup cook-off, live music and free hot dogs and hamburgers. The event is a benefit for the Meriden Child Guidance Clinic.

September 30-Oct 9, 2011  Southington Apple Festival - Southington, Connecticut
Our annual festival is a family oriented community event spanning the first two weekends in October. The festival offers six days of spectacular fun, delicious food, live entertainment and crafts. Attendance: 100,000.

October 8-9, 2011  Garlic & Harvest Festival - Bethlehem, Connecticut

Guests will enjoy locally produced beverages and delicacies from the region’s best artisan brewers, vintners, and cheese makers. An array of delicious hors d’oeuvres, coffee, and dessert accompanied by music will take place amid the historic airplanes on display at the NE Air Museum. Raises money for Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Gang Camp.

December 16, 2009  Home for the Holidays - Wine & Cooking Event - Ridgefield, Conn
Danbury Hospital Spirit of Women Series. Women and men will learn the art of cooking from Albano’s resident Chef Jehan de Noue as he prepares a holiday meal that tastes great and doesn't add the extra pounds on during the holiday season. Throughout the event we will sample each course, which will be paired with a wine chosen by Cellar XV. All of the wines will be available for sampling in the lobby.
