October 4-6 & 11-13, 2013 45th Annual Apple Harvest Festival
Our annual festival is a family oriented community event spanning the first two weekends in October. The festival offers six days of spectacular fun, delicious food, live entertainment and crafts. Attendance: 100,000.
October 12-13, 2013 Garlic & Harvest Festival - Bethlehem, Connecticut
Join us for the area's most unique festival, now in its eigth year! Fresh garlic and farm produce, garlic specialty food vendors, crafts, garlic food court, garlic growing lectures, garlic cooking demonstrations, live entertainment, amusements, and plenty of samples make this a must for the garlic lover.
October 12-14, 2013 Mystic Seaport Chowder Days - Mystic, Connecticut
Enjoy a hot bowl of chowder on a cool fall day during Chowder Days at Mystic Seaport. Coastal Gourmet's menu is sure to satisfy all appetites and will feature numerous selections of chowders, bisques, stews and gumbos to select from, as well as clam fritters, pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers and fish tacos. Indulge in seasonal treats such as cinnamon sugar fried dough, berry pie and mulled cider. Beer and wine will also be available for purchase.

New England's biggest display of sweet and spicy Gingerbread Houses is returning to South Windsor's Wood Memorial Library and Museum again this year. A holiday favorite, the show opens Thanksgiving weekend. Experience the magic as you enter Wood's "winter wonderland" of dozens of Gingerbread Houses in all shapes and sizes - made by you! We welcome everyone of all levels to enter their masterpieces, whether you are young or old, professional or just beginning! If you'd like to enter your own Gingerbread masterpiece in the show, we welcome all skill levels - there is no entry fee. Professional bakers: we welcome your entries to help publicize your store and bakery. Children and families, school and church groups encouraged.
