October 2-4 & 9-11, 2015  47th Annual Apple Harvest Festival
Southington, Connecticut
Our annual festival is a family oriented community event spanning the first two weekends in October. Over the course of two weekends each autumn, the festival offers a wide variety of live music & entertainment, food, contests, crafts, children's activities, carnival rides and more. Also highlighted each year is our parade, an arts & crafts show and a spectacular evening fireworks display.   Attendance: 100,000

October 4-18, 2015  Westport Restaurant Week - Westport, Connecticut
The event offers consumers great deals and the opportunity to experience some new restaurants, as well as re-visit some of their favorites. Produced by the Westport-Weston Chamber of Commerce, this two week long celebration of the fabulous dining scene in Westport  has become a highly anticipated annual event.  Lunch menus are priced at $15, $20 or $25 and Dinners are priced at $25, $30 or $35. Several restaurants are also offering a special brunch menu too.

October 5-10, 2015  Greater Valley Restaurant Week - Connecticut

Enjoy a hot bowl of chowder on a cool fall day during Chowder Days at Mystic Seaport. Parade can be viewed from either side of the street along Broadway South of Park Church, on Broad Street between Broadway and McKinley Avenue, along McKinley Avenue South to Franklin Street and along Franklin Street South to Franklin Square where the parade ends once it passes the reviewing stand located in the Square.

Nov 28-Dec 14, 2015  Wesleyan Potters 59th Annual Exhibit and Sale
Middletown, Connecticut
One of the oldest juried craft shows in the country, the Annual Exhibit and Sale represents fine quality works by 260 different artists in virtually every craft. The event attracts nearly 10,000 visitors from across New England and includes more than 10,000 works of pottery, jewelry, sculpture, basketry, fiber arts, wood, paper crafts, metal work, printmaking, toys and more.  Sale hours: Open daily 10am – 6pm, Fridays until 9pm.  Join us for Cafe Nights! October 6, 2014  Connecticut Brewers Fest - Stratford, Connecticut
Over 20 CT brewers under one roof at the first ever Connecticut Brewers Fest presented by Two Roads Brewing. $25 gets you a can glass and three oz pours of some of the best beer the Nutmeg state has to offer. Food trucks will be parked outside for your eating enjoyment. Very limited tickets available. All proceeds of this festival go to the Connecticut Brewers' Guild.

November 23, 2014  Holidays Around the World Tea and 'Just Desserts'
Willimantic, Connecticut
Holidays Around the World Tea and “Just Desserts” A fundraiser to benefit the Windham Textile and History Museum’s programs will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2014, from 4 to 6 pm, at the Museum. Desserts from many countries will be served at beautifully decorated tables representing holidays in other countries. Included will be the Netherlands, Canada, Italy and more. This event honors the ethnic diversity of the twenty-six nationalities that worked in the mills of eastern Connecticut. Cost is $12 per person in advance; $15 at the door. Reservations are requested. Follow the star to Bethlehem, Connecticut. More than 70 art and craft exhibitors in seven building, hay rides, strolling carolers, entertainment and food. Visit the post office to mail your Christmas cards with the special Christmas Cache.

December 5-14, 2014  41st Annual Festival of Trees & Traditions
Hartford, Connecticut
Celebrate the season at the 41st Annual Festival of Trees & Traditions! Established in 1973, Festival has become an annual holiday tradition for many visitors from throughout the state and beyond. Every year community members, artists and organizations are asked to decorate holiday trees and wreaths to be displayed in the galleries. All items are for sale, and profits help fund the museum’s special exhibitions, educational programs, and operating expenses. Special events take place throughout the festival.

December 6, 2014  26th Annual Niantic Light Parade & Winterfest
Niantic, Connecticut
The day will start with the Winterfest beginning at 2 pm on Main Street. This prelude to the parade, typically features a popular Chowder & Chili Cook-off, Pictures with Santa, Magic Shows, Face Painting, Horse Drawn Carriage Rides, Ice Sculptures and much, much more! Then, fireworks are expected to once again kick off the Light Parade which features beautifully built and lighted parade floats, dance groups and Santa himself as they parade down the beautifully decorated Main Street in Niantic.

Calling all Gingerbread House Enthusiasts! Individuals, community groups, schools, church groups and culinary entities, are invited to enter the First Annual Gingerbread House Contest at Olde Mistick Village. Entries will be divided into three categories: 1) Individuals, Families, and Children; 2) Businesses, Churches and Community Groups; and 3) Professional Culinary Individuals and Groups. All Gingerbread Houses must be 100% edible with exception of the base.

Leffingwell House Museum.  Christmas in the colonies (Special event $5) 1-5 pm.  Experience the history & tastes of Christmas celebrations in the early colonies. The event will enact the evolution of Colonial Yuletide from the prohibition years of early New England through the more elaborate feasts of the Southern Colonies & the more familiar traditions of today.  Come & hear Mohegan Storyteller Sister Bette Jean Coderre tell Winter Tales in the West Parlor every half an hour.  Complimentary beverages can be sampled. Connecticut Science Center.  Celebrate your passion… and celebrate life! Chocolate is one of life’s true pleasures. No matter what your age, background or interests, almost everyone loves chocolate.  The Chocolate Expo has by far become the northeast’s largest chocolate-themed event. The Chocolate Expo offers tastings & sales of chocolates, baked goods, specialty foods, gelato, cheeses and much more from local and regional vendors. Depending on location, tastings and sales of wines, beers and other “adult beverages” may also be offered.  Each Chocolate Expo event combines chocolate and food with a dash of fun such as unique exhibits, performances, demonstrations and/or celebrity appearances.

Avery-Copp Museum.  Spend an evening in Christmas past. Jennifer Emerson, historic interpreter and Dickens enthusiast, will entertain you with a dramatic reading of the classic, “A Christmas Carol”, by Charles Dickens. Enjoy the beauty of a Victorian house decorated for the holidays.  Christmas cookies and punch will be served.  $15.00 Reservations required.

First Congregational Church of Norwich at the Norwichtown Green.  We will have traditional cookies like soft molasses, oatmeal, and chocolate chip. We will also have some interesting variations of classics like shortbread and snickerdoodles. Some international favorites like Baklava and Italian wedding cakes along with some new flavors like smoky bacon ginger cookies. Come get your holiday baked goods while they last.

Danbury Hospital Spirit of Women Series. Women and men will learn the art of cooking from Albano’s resident Chef Jehan de Noue as he prepares a holiday meal that tastes great and doesn't add the extra pounds on during the holiday season. Throughout the event we will sample each course, which will be paired with a wine chosen by Cellar XV. All of the wines will be available for sampling in the lobby.
