46th Annual Apple Harvest Festival
Our annual festival is a family oriented community event spanning the first two weekends in October. Over the course of two weekends each autumn, the festival offers a wide variety of live music & entertainment, food, contests, crafts, children's activities, carnival rides and more. Also highlighted each year is our parade, an arts & crafts show and a spectacular evening fireworks display. Attendance: 100,000.

October 6, 2014 Connecticut Brewers Fest - Stratford, Connecticut
Over 20 CT brewers under one roof at the first ever Connecticut Brewers Fest presented by Two Roads Brewing. $25 gets you a can glass and three oz pours of some of the best beer the Nutmeg state has to offer. Food trucks will be parked outside for your eating enjoyment. Very limited tickets available. All proceeds of this festival go to the Connecticut Brewers' Guild.

Fresh garlic and farm produce, garlic specialty food vendors, crafts, garlic food court, garlic growing lectures, garlic cooking demonstrations, live entertainment, rides & amusements, and plenty of samples make this a must for the garlic lover. 200+ vendors. October 11-13, 2014 Mystic Seaport Chowder Days - Mystic, Connecticut
Enjoy a hot bowl of chowder on a cool fall day during Chowder Days at Mystic Seaport. Coastal Gourmet's menu is sure to satisfy all appetites and will feature numerous selections of chowders, bisques, stews and gumbos to select from, as well as clam fritters, pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers and fish tacos. Indulge in seasonal treats such as cinnamon sugar fried dough, berry pie and mulled cider. Beer and wine will also be available for purchase.

New for 2014: CT Restaurant Week pairs up with CT Beer Week to highlight both the great restaurants that Connecticut has to offer as well as highlight all of the great local breweries we have located right here in CT. In addition to the special restaurant week menus, you may also find your favorite (or new favorite) CT brewed craft beer too.

New London, Connecticut
Help prepare a colonial harvest meal over the open hearth and talk with the cook. See and learn about foods and cooking techniques of the time; try out colonial cooking tools and gadgets. Light refreshments. Regular admission applies. 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The Hempsted Houses comprises two buildings: the 1678 Joshua Hempsted House and the 1759 Nathaniel Hempsted House.

New England's biggest display of sweet and spicy Gingerbread Houses is returning to South Windsor's Wood Memorial Library and Museum again this year. A holiday favorite, the show opens Thanksgiving weekend. Experience the magic as you enter Wood's "winter wonderland" of dozens of Gingerbread Houses in all shapes and sizes - made by you! We welcome everyone of all levels to enter their masterpieces, whether you are young or old, professional or just beginning! If you'd like to enter your own Gingerbread masterpiece in the show, we welcome all skill levels - there is no entry fee. December 6, 2014 26th Annual Niantic Light Parade & Winterfest
The day will start with the Winterfest beginning at 2 pm on Main Street. This prelude to the parade, typically features a popular Chowder & Chili Cook-off, Pictures with Santa, Magic Shows, Face Painting, Horse Drawn Carriage Rides, Ice Sculptures and much, much more! Then, fireworks are expected to once again kick off the Light Parade which features beautifully built and lighted parade floats, dance groups and Santa himself as they parade down the beautifully decorated Main Street in Niantic.
