September 27, 2014 Winfield Mule Day
2014 marks the 40th year of the Mule Day Festival. The tradition was begun in 1975 to honor the hard working mules of the day. Mule Day has grown into a major event not only for the City of Winfield but also for the State of Alabama. Drawing crowds of over 25,000 each year; Mule Day features a variety of activities that appeal to any palate. The keynote event is a the Mule Day parade through the downtown of the city, but there is also live entertainment, car and tractor show, garden tractor pull, flea market, mule judging, arts and crafts, horseshoe tournament, and a carnival.

43rd Annual National Shrimp Festival
Gulf Shores, Alabama
The Annual National Shrimp Festival is one of the nation’s premier outdoor festivals attracting 250,000 people, featuring over 300 vendors that offer fine art, arts & crafts, a retail marketplace, outdoor village, and of course, SHRIMP!! Two stages offer continuous musical entertainment while the little one’s attention is captured in the Children’s Activity Village where they create their own “art” and participate in other fun-filled activities.
