Celebrate the city's rich heritage and diversity of agricultural products, including potatoes, with live music, arts and crafts, entertainment, games and fireworks.

Showcasing food & wine from local restaurants and caterers, attendees get to taste a variety of food and drink while listening to music and mingling. The showcase will offer a silent auction and a 50/50 drawing.
August 16-17, 2013 33rd Annual Franklin County Watermelon Festival
Miss Watermelon and her Court reign over the festivities, concert, antique car & truck show. Always the 3rd weekend in August (Fri-Sat)

August 31, 2013 St. William Seafood Festival - Guntersville, Alabama
Civitan Park. Hosted by St William Catholic Church. Creole-style file' gumbo, Cajun boiled shrimp, fresh crawfish, bbq chicken and fish dinners, hushpuppies and slaw. Dine-in starts at 10:30 a.m. until sold out. Drive-thru is available for only shrimp and/or gumbo by the quart; opens at 7:30 a.m. and remains open until sold out. August 31, 2013 Crenshaw County Annual Peanut Boil Festival - Luverne, Alabama
The festival includes 'the world's largest peanut boil" and features music, arts & crafts, children's activities as well as delicious food, and over 60,000 pounds of peanuts.
