August 20, 2011  Arkansas Great Steak Cook-Off - Conway, Arkansas
Fire up your grill as Saturday afternoon as the Arkansas Outdoors Expo turns tasty with the first ever Arkansas Great Steak Cook-off. Gather up a team and try your hand at cash and prizes, or just bring your appetite and purchase cooking team steaks for only $5.00. Setup starts at 8am, and preheating begins at 4:00 pm. Judging will take place at 6:00 pm.

October 18, 2011  20th Annual Taste of Texarkana - Texarkana, Arkansas

A day filled with entertainment, dancers, singers, photographers, commercial booths, food, and great fun. Sponsored by the Western Cherokee Nation of Arkansas and Missouri.

JULY 4, 2010 - There are so many events on this day that they are too numerous to list. Virtually every community in the U.S. has a 4th of July celebration.

September 11, 2010  Ozark Harvest Food Festival - Fayetteville, Arkansas
This event will increase public education, awareness, and access to local foods for the local families in Northwest Arkansas as well as serve as an experimental tool for chefs, restaurants, and farmers.

We are having our first Chili Cookoff & Salsa Competition with a portion of all proceeds going to our Colt Fire Department.  This is a non-sanctioned cookoff. The intention of this competition is that it will be a fun and not too serious event for all.  There will be music, lots of food, and arts & crafts vendors. There will be fun for everyone.
