January 21, 2017  Old-Timey Fermented Foods Workshop
Scott, Arkansas
Plantation Agriculture Museum.  Farming families on the Arkansas Delta came from a mosaic of backgrounds, bringing unique traditions and foods with them. Continue past traditions by creating and enjoying your own live-culture food. Join a park interpreter to learn how to make and take home your own sauerkraut, sourdough starter, and kimchi. Workshop participants will be learning how to ferment a variety of fresh vegetables with dry brine and wet brine methods.

February 5, 2016 - Taste of the Wildlife - Pine Bluff, Arkansas
The Arts & Science Center hosts the wildly successful Taste of the Wild Life. Thanks to the skill and generosity of our local hunters you will enjoy wild game prepared by the award winning chef, Jamie McAffee. In addition to the the fabulous feast this year's event includes the option to enter the always popular Draw Down. Try your luck at the laser shooting gallery with pearl adorned plush prizes, and more surprises throughout the evening. Put on your camo and pull on your boots.

February 13, 2016  12th Annual Chocolate Lovers Festival
Eureka Springs, Arkansas
A Valentine's Day extravaganza for the chocoholic in all of us. Come tantalize your taste buds where the fountains overflow with sumptuous chocolate--from rich dark chocolate, chocolate ice cream, and chocolate drinks, to chocolate body care products.

April 10, 2016  Jewish Food and Cultural Festival
Little Rock, Arkansas
War Memorial Stadium.  Again this year, the Jewish Food Festival will include traditional Jewish foods such as old fashioned corned beef sandwiches, lox, bagels and cream cheese, kosher hot dogs, rugelach and many more wonderful Jewish delicacies. April 16, 2016  30th Annual Alma Spinach Festival - Alma, Arkansas
Arts, crafts, food, entertainment, spinach eating and growing contests.

April 16, 2016  8th Annual German Heritage Festival
Stuttgart, Arkansas
Event kicks off with a 5k fun run/walk, followed by a bratwurst cookoff, Germanic beer and wine tastings, a live polka band, children's activities, vendors and more. Race starts at 9 am. Other events begin at 10 am

April 16-17, 2016  3rd Annual Food Waste & Hunger Summit
Fayetteville, Arkansas
Each spring, we host a Food Waste & Hunger Summit that brings together leading national nonprofit organizations and engaged students who are working to fight food waste and hunger, for a packed weekend of learning about advocacy, service and leadership. Students and staff from universities across the country share best practices, ideas and resources to expand their impact in the fight against food insecurity. We expect 250 emerging leaders representing the next generation of hunger relief.

April 22-23, 2016  14th Annual Strawberry Festival - Cabot, Arkansas
Cabot's very own Strawberries!! Carnival rides, festival, pageant and games for the whole family. Carnival: Thursday and Friday 6 p.m.-9 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Pageant: Saturday 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

April 28, 2016  Annual Taste of the Valley - Russellville, Arkansas
Main Street Russellville's award-winning tasting party featuring a delicious assortment of food and drink provided by River Valley restaurants, caterers, vineyards, and food service institutions. Live musical entertainment provided throughout the evening by local musicians.

April 29, 2016  Noon Program - Native Plants and Native People
Mountain View, Arkansas
Ozark Folk Center State Park.  Kathleen Connole - Native American peoples traveled through the Ozarks and hunted, fished, and farmed these mountains. Kathleen shares their stories from the perspective of the plants they gathered, grew, and loved in these deep valleys and rocky hillsides.
