International Eelpout Festival
Leech Lake, Walker, Minnesota
The Annual International Eelpout Festival, held at Chase on the Lake on Leech Lake, is a tradition centered on catching one of the ugliest of bottom-dwelling fish, the Eelpout! In addition to thousands of dollars in prizes, enjoy Opening Ceremonies in the Chase 502 Bar, live music, DJ dance parties, refreshments at the Chase Big Top Tent, eelpout fish fry, mechanical bull riding, contests, and more! Attendance: 10,000.

Schell's Bock Fest
New Ulm, Minnesota
Come join us for the premier winter festival in the Midwest! Sing and dance your heart out at this outdoor festival in the shadow of the brewery! Bock Fest is an all-outdoor event on the grounds of Schell's Brewery with Schells beer, brats, live music, a warm fire, and the release of the seasonal Bock beer. Admission is $10 for this 21+ event

5 - 7:30 pm. Cochon555, the nation’s acclaimed culinary, wine and spirit celebration in support of charity and education. The events will feature more than 100 prominent chefs, farmers, sommeliers, distillers, brewers, and barkeeps all working to create luxurious moments that educate the palate. At each stop on the tour, five notable chefs are tasked with preparing a 200-pound pig and presenting a "Judge's Plate" that will be scored by celebrity judges and participants. The winner of each local competition will advance to the finale in September.
