March 3-7, 2014  National School Breakfast Week - Nationwide
National School Breakfast Week (NSBW) was launched in 1989 to raise awareness of the availability of the School Breakfast Program (SBP) to all children. Each year, the School Nutrition Association (SNA) helps schools to celebrate NSBW with a fun theme.

April 11-12, 2014  Triple Threat Barbecue Festival at the Delaware State Fair - Harrington, Delaware
The Delaware State Fair's first annual Triple Threat BBQ Festival, where food and fun lovers collide for the ultimate feast. As a Kansas City Barbecue Society sanctioned event, the Triple Threat is every bit a competition as it is a good time for visitors. Jam packed with 2 days of fun, the BBQ Fest includes live music, carnival rides, corn hole, and of course, beer, wine, and barbecue.  BBQ competitions will offer prizes ranging from $100.00 to $2,500.00 for each category: beef brisket, pork ribs, chicken, pork. Grand Champion $2,500.00, Reserve Champion $1,300.00, Delaware State Champion $1,500.00

The passage of the landmark Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act and many other groundbreaking environmental laws soon followed. Growing out of the first Earth Day, Earth Day Network (EDN) works with over 22,000 partners in 192 countries to broaden, diversify and mobilize the environmental movement. More than 1 billion people now participate in Earth Day activities each year, making it the largest civic observance in the world.

For nearly a century, the Delaware State Fair has hosted a wide variety of exhibits, with over 3,000, exhibitors competing in categories from Angus beef cattle to zinnias. Culinary competitions include the Blueberry Blow-out Contest, Crazy Over Cupcakes Contest, Homemade Ice Cream Making Contest, Wild Men & Women Cooking Contest, and More! Attendance: 300,000.

November 7, 2014  4th Annual Cocoa Crawl - Rehoboth Beach, Delaware

A community dinner from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center. Gather with your neighbors, friends and family to celebrate the holiday season and enjoy a delicious meal provided by local businesses and volunteers. There will be live entertainment, Santa, plus activities for kids of all ages.  Also at Community Unity, Main Street bestows its Citizen of the Year Award.  Come dine with us!

August 3, 2013  21st Annual Peach Festival - Wyoming, Delaware
Activities include a parade, live music, crafters, community displays, children's area, and peach dessert contest.

August 29, 2013  The Farmer And The Chef South 2013 - Millsboro, Delaware
The premise of the event is simple, pair local farmers with local chefs.  While the event is a fundraiser for the March of Dimes, we are also helping to create sustainable relationships between local farmers and chefs, while reinforcing the movement of eating healthy which is something the March of Dimes believes in and promotes to women who are considering pregnancy.

September 16-21, 2013  2013 Polish Festival - Wilmington, Delaware
Sponsored by St. Hedwig Parish and held along the city riverfront. Welcome to the Polish Festival--where great food and entertainment bring people together.

September 19, 2013  The Farmer And The Chef 2013 - Wilmington, Delaware

A wine and beer tasting festival with fine wines, specialty beers, live music, hors d'oeuvres, and a silent auction to benefit the Delaware Museum of Natural History.

September 29, 2013  10th Annual Taste of Newark - Newark, Delaware
At the Taste of Newark event, guests have the opportunity to savor the culinary delights of more than 45 Newark restaurants, accompanied by the wares of the finest area wine distributors.  A feature of Taste of Newark is the Battle of the Chefs, now in its fourth year. The battle features the city’s best chefs, who will have one hour to concoct delectable masterpieces from a secret list of ingredients. Taste of Newark helps support University of Delaware's Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management and the Downtown Newark Partnership.

October 6, 2013  Celebrity Chefs’ Beach Brunch - Dewey Beach, Delaware

October 11-12, 2013  22nd Annual Bridgeville Apple-Scrapple Festival
Bridgeville, Delaware
Showcases the area's agriculture industry and celebrates Apples and Sussex County's favorite breakfast meat, Scrapple, a mainstay of the Bridgeville economy. Little Miss & Miss Apple Scrapple, ladies' skillet toss, 5K run, craft show, food, food, and more food!25,000.

October 20, 2013  Delaware Wine & Beer Festival - Dover, Delaware
Festival-goers will have the opportunity to meet Delaware’s vintners and brewers and talk about their locations, their products and their processes. Festival goers can listen to music, play horseshoes or volleyball and even participate in a "grape stomp."

November 1-3, 2013  World Championship Punkin Chunkin - Bridgeville, Delaware
Hardcore engineers and backyard tinkerers build their gigantic, home built contraptions with one common goal: to launch eight to 10-pound pumpkins as far as mechanically possible. The competition is divided into various categories depending on how the pumpkin is chucked: trebuchets, catapults, huge air cannons, human power, human power centrifugal class, and human power class. The World Championship Punkin Chunkin Association (WCPCA) is a nonprofit association started in 1986 that hosts the Punkin' Chunkin' World Championships, an event which raises money for scholarships and charitable organizations.

November 30, 2013  8th Annual Chocolate & Holiday Festival - Dover, Delaware
