October 7, 2017 Cheesetoberfest - Dover, Delaware
Cheestoberfest is an all-out, no holds barred, grilled cheese competition, being held at Fordham & Dominion Brewing, that features 25 Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and Philadelphia restaurants. In keeping with the cheesiness of the event, an oompah band will provide the entertainment. Brewery staff and volunteers will be pouring award winning Octoberfest, along with Spiced Harvest Ale, Oak Barrel Stout, Rams Head IPA, Copperhead Ale, and Helles Lager.? General admission tickets are $30 and include two beers, food samples, and a commemorative stein.

October 14, 2017 Delaware Wine & Beer Festival
Delaware State Fairgrounds in Harrington. The Delaware Wine and Beer Festival is the First State's "official" wine and beer festival! In fact, it was the first of its kind, and still the only one that features all of Delaware's breweries, wineries and distilleries in one beautiful location! The festival includes music, performers, games, DJ's, and access to a select number of local eateries featuring gourmet foods and Delaware delicacies. There will be vendors and a wine store with discounted prices on bottles or cases of Delaware-made wines.
November 16, 2017 11th Annual Auction/Tastes of Milford
Rookery North with doors opening at 6pm. This annual events benefits the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Milford. Local food and beverage businesses offer “Tastes” of their most popular menu item(s) while attendees bid on hundreds of wonderful items while networking with colleagues, friends and family. This year a portion of the proceeds will be going to the Arts Departments in the Milford School District.

While the event is a fundraiser for the March of Dimes, we are also helping to create sustainable relationships between local farmers and chefs, while reinforcing the movement of eating healthy which is something the March of Dimes believes in and promotes to women who are considering pregnancy.

It's the annual homegrown cook-off where you get to be the judge! Local farmers and area chefs whip up the tastiest competition of the year. The premise of the event is simple, pair local farmers with local chefs. The Kent County Restaurant Week will be co-branded and launched as part of the Delaware Wine and Beer Festival, with the Delaware Wineries Association’s gourmet brunch on Sunday, October 12, featuring local craft wines and spirits paired with food presented by local restaurants. Restaurant Week will highlight the unique dining experiences in Kent County featuring fresh seafood, quality meats and local farm to fork produce and fruits. Kent County’s wineries, breweries and distillery are partnering with local restaurants to pair craft beer, wine and spirits with local dishes to further the “Eat Local” mantra. Restaurant week will encourage local residents, Delawareans and visitors to visit any of the 100+ independent eateries in Kent County.
