December 1-2, 2017 - Christmas Town Festival Bethlehem, Connecticut Follow the star to Bethlehem, Connecticut. More than 70 art and craft exhibitors in seven building, hay rides, strolling carolers, entertainment and food. Visit the post office to mail your Christmas cards with the special Christmas Cache.
December 1-10, 2017 44th Annual Festival of Trees & Traditions Hartford, Connecticut Wadswprth Atheneum Museum of Art. Celebrate the season at the Annual Festival of Trees & Traditions! Established in 1973, Festival has become an annual holiday tradition for many visitors from throughout the state and beyond. Every year community members, artists and organizations are asked to decorate holiday trees and wreaths to be displayed in the galleries. All items are for sale, and profits help fund the museum’s special exhibitions, educational programs, and operating expenses. Special events take place throughout the festival.

December 2, 2017 Olde Mistick Village Gingerbread House Contest Mystic, Connecticut Calling all Gingerbread House Enthusiasts! Individuals, community groups, schools, church groups and culinary entities, are invited to enter the First Annual Gingerbread House Contest at Olde Mistick Village. Entries will be divided into three categories: 1) Individuals, Families, and Children; 2) Businesses, Churches and Community Groups; and 3) Professional Culinary Individuals and Groups. All Gingerbread Houses must be 100% edible with exception of the base.
December 9, 2017 - Annual Niantic Light Parade Niantic, East Lyme, Connecticut Fireworks are expected to once again kick off the Light Parade which features beautifully built and lighted parade floats, dance groups and Santa himself as they parade down the beautifully decorated Main Street in Niantic.

December 31, 2017 New Year's Eve Black & White Ball - Mystic, Connecticut Usher in the New Year enjoying the classic elegance of the Black and White Ball at Mystic Aquarium. Don your best black/white attire and kick up your heels to live entertainment by Nancy Paolino & The Black Tie Band. Amid the watery wonderland of the Aquarium’s Main Gallery, guests will savor Ocean Blue Catering’s gourmet food stations and complimentary drink vouchers. No matter what your age, background or interests, almost everyone loves chocolate. The Chocolate Expo has by far become the northeast’s largest chocolate-themed event. The Chocolate Expo offers tastings & sales of chocolates, baked goods, specialty foods, gelato, cheeses and much more from local and regional vendors. Depending on location, tastings and sales of wines, beers and other “adult beverages” may also be offered. Each Chocolate Expo event combines chocolate and food with a dash of fun such as unique exhibits, performances, demonstrations and/or celebrity appearances.

December 13, 2014 Goshen Farmers Holiday Market, featuring Cupcake Decorating Workshop - Goshen, Connecticut Fill yourself with the sounds and smells of the holiday season. Live music by Chris Connelly, Fresh brewed coffee (espresso and other warm beverages), Grass fed beef and pork, eggs, Baked Goods, crafts, seasonal produce, syrup, honey, soaps, jewelry, etc.. For our December 13th market we are featuring a Cupcake Decorating Workshop. $2 gets you your cupcake, decorating supplies and take-home box. Children or adults welcome to attend. Workshop is from 1-2pm.
December 13, 2014 Annual Holiday Cookie Sale Norwich, Connecticut First Congregational Church of Norwich at the Norwichtown Green. We will have traditional cookies like soft molasses, oatmeal, and chocolate chip. We will also have some interesting variations of classics like shortbread and snickerdoodles. Some international favorites like Baklava and Italian wedding cakes along with some new flavors like smoky bacon ginger cookies. Come get your holiday baked goods while they last.

December 16, 2009 Home for the Holidays - Wine & Cooking Event - Ridgefield, Connecticut Danbury Hospital Spirit of Women Series. Women and men will learn the art of cooking from Albano’s resident Chef Jehan de Noue as he prepares a holiday meal that tastes great and doesn't add the extra pounds on during the holiday season. Throughout the event we will sample each course, which will be paired with a wine chosen by Cellar XV. All of the wines will be available for sampling in the lobby.
