August 11-12, 2018 Annual Shoreline Wine Festival
The Shoreline Wine Festival will celebrate fine wines from CT Wineries and Vineyards from all over the state, all offering their fine wines that range from grape wines to fruit wines. There is something for everyone. Pair this with some of the area’s finest foods, with the backdrop setting of a beautiful farm orchard and background sounds of tasteful music to put you in the mood. This two day festival is a ticketed event that affords you the opportunity to taste the wines from all of the wineries, enjoy a tour of the Bishop’s Orchards Winery, numerous wine seminars given by local wine experts, live music and entertainment, and a chance to visit with local vendors and artisans. Food offered at the event is an additional charge.

Celebrate the time of year when the first corn is ready to be eaten at our Sixth Annual Green Corn Festival! Join us for an afternoon of traditional Eastern Woodland style song and dance and a taste of traditional foods. Held at the Institute for American Indian Studies.
August 4, 2012 St. John's 3rd Annual Summer Food Festival
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at St. John s Episcopal Church, 78 Green Hill Road, Washington, Conn. Booths will offer locally grown and produced foods, from savory to sweet, fresh to prepared, as well as plants, herbs and must have cooking utensils and entertaining accessories. Shoppers can fill their market baskets with vegetables, fruit, breads, pastries, cheeses, desserts, herbs, plants and more homegrown goodies. Cold soups, sandwiches, popcorn and other delectables will be available to sustain visitors as they shop. Hot dogs on the grill, a lemonade stand, arts and crafts projects to occupy the youngest Festival goers, all to the accompaniment of a live Bluegrass band, will complete the experience. The Food Festival is free, and open to the public. A portion of the proceeds from sales will benefit St. John s several outreach projects, including year-round work with area food pantries, Easter and Thanksgiving food baskets, back-to-school backpacks and a holiday Angel Tree, all of which go to children and families in need.

The fifth annual festival will return this summer as a newly expanded series of culinary offerings, complete with five events for "foodies", featuring more than 20 of the city's top restaurants providing guests with multiple opportunities to sample an array of cuisine, wine and cocktails.
